Story
Hey hey hey!! The name is Judd, and I’m the happiest boy! I came from Kentucky after my housemates were poisoned and my family feared the same would happen to me.  I’m about 13 months old and a husky/lab mix. My foster mom tells me that my husky side shows a lot. I would prefer a home without chickens and possibly cats (I like to chase them but haven’t tried to hurt them). I also like to jump so I will need watched in a fenced in yard. I know how to sit and shake, and I’m potty trained too. I’ve done well in my crate at night and while my foster parents are at work. I may cry for a few minutes but settle down for pretty quickly. With slow introductions, I’ve done well with other dogs as long as they don’t try to challenge me. Needless to say, I’m a young dog that has puppy antics. I would love a home to show me how to be the best. Could that be your home?!? I'm available to go home on 3-30-24! ##1985082##

Story
We call this beautiful lady Burnie and she is looking for her forever home. Burnie is a 6.5 year old spayed husky who is up to date on all vaccinations and is also house trained. Burnie does well with older children. She doesn’t mind cats but she would prefer to be the only dog in your home. Burnie loves to watch the Steelers and enjoys hyping you up as you cook. She also loves taking walks uptown, as well as hikes on the trail. If Burnie sounds like just the best friend that you have been missing- please complete the adoption application today! Burnie is being fostered in the south hills and is ready to meet you. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SWEE/Dog

Story
Hey! Do you have previous husky experience? Meet me! I'm Prince! I might not live in a castle anymore, but I sure hope I do one day. At 8 years old, I've had a lot of experiences in life and I'm ready to have a few more! I walk well on a harness and love to meet new people. However, when it comes to other dogs, no thank you! I may sometimes get a little bit TOO excited or anxious but I am easily redirected with treats or stuffies. As an older lad, I've got some health concerns with my joints, my teeth and my ears. I was diagnosed with Lyme disease but as of now I have no symptoms! The medical staff taking care of me would be happy to talk to you about all my quirks before adopting. Come say hello to royalty and take me home today! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside- 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License #- 1121

Story
Who on Earf is this tornado wrapped in fur? It's Earf! Like most adolescent huskies, he is full of energy and has no manners. Earf was found as a stray, so we don't know what the first year of his life was like. He has many of the behaviors of a typical husky and is quite the handful, so we are requiring that potential adopters have experience with the breed. We are also requiring that all members of the household including children and other dogs meet with him before adoption. Earf is very smart and will need a family who know how to give both his brain and his body a workout. Earf to adopters; come meet this playful, love bug today! Story
Roll out the red carpet! It's King! King came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. King is an incredibly photogenic and handsome mix breed, his previous owners did lots of training with him so he even knows sit, paw, and sometimes (if he's feeling like it) down. If you're interested in adopting King, there's some things we should talk about! King is a strong, intelligent, active dog and would absolutely thrive in a home with adults who are willing to do positive reinforcement training with him and let him decompress from his time at the shelter. King has gone to doggy daycares in the past, but we aren't sure if that means that he would like to live full time with a canine companion. Ideally, he would go to a home without children as his needs would be best met and managed by adults only. If you're interested in learning more about King and figuring out if he's the right fit for your home stop down at our East location to get more info!
