Story
Say hello to this little firecracker , Willow.  Willow is a 10 week old Husky mix.  She is approximately 12 pounds and full of puppy energy and cuteness.  Her beautiful dilute brindle coat and blue eyes are stunning.  She is learning the ropes of being a puppy in a home with 5 foster siblings, and she can’t get enough puppy playtime!  People, kid, and dog friendly. She has not had experience with cats but would likely do well with early and proper introductions. She is working on learning basic commands and is very treat motivated.  She is working on potty training, but remember, she is just a baby.  She has been doing well with frequent trips outside and with indoor training pads.  Her intelligence and inquisitive nature indicate she will be one smart girl! Perfect for an active owner or family. ##2455719##

Story
adoption donation : $650 weight 35 lbs Age 5 months as of 4/20   Helena and her sisters Harriet and Hattie are adorable puppies who may be husky mixes but are most definitely adorable, friendly and sweet girls! They are having a grand time in his foster home, romping and playing at Wags and snuggling together in a big puppy pile to nap. Harriet and Helena look practically identical, Hattie is the blond. Their brother Henry has already been adopted.  The puppies were found by a truck driver in a rural part of Mississippi, abandoned in a deserted field. Two of the siblings had already sadly passed away. The driver gathered up the remaining pups and brought them to Wags. Since then, the three girls have thrived, getting the vet care, food and vaccines that they need. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs. They are also very mellow! They like to run and play outside but at home they are couch potatoes!  Hattie, Helena and Harriet are currently in Mississippi and would love to board the transport anytime in the next couple of weeks and head to the northeast! These darling girls are ready to give sloppy kisses to the lucky family who adopts him. Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay neuter. Story
Trace is beautiful, very sweet  husky who was found as a stray in a park called the Natchez Trace in northern Mississippi. Trace has settled in well at the rescue, she gets along with all the dog and has shown no aggression, she is friendly and loving. The vet estimates she is around 2 years old.    When she meets new people, Trace’s tail wags. if you are looking for a cuddle, she will curl right into your lap! She loves to run and play, she would love another dog for company and to romp with.     Like any husky Trace needs a family willing to give her the exercise and structure that she needs, ideally she her adopter would have experience with Huskies.      Trace has not been around any cats at the rescue so we can’t be sure how she would react. She does get along fine with dogs and his friendly to anybody that she has met.    Trace  has been spayed, she’s heartworm negative and current on vaccinations. She is ready to make a wonderful family member.  Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 200 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Most of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. We do have some of our dogs in foster homes in the northeast, we always need foster homes. For more information on Trace  or any of our Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com      May 13, 2025, 9:13 pm

Story
Meet Koda!  This charming 2-year-old Pitsky (Pitbull/Husky mix) is ready to find his forever family! Koda’s journey started on a dirt road in Georgia, where he was abandoned. Thankfully, a kind family found him and gave him a safe place. Despite having serious hip damage from an old, untreated injury, Koda never let it slow him down. After surgery, he’s healed beautifully and is ready for his next chapter! About Koda:  We’ve absolutely loved having Koda in our home as a foster these past six weeks — he’s been a wonderful, easygoing companion.  He’s about 43 pounds — the perfect medium-sized dog! (Though he loves to stretch out in photos to look larger than life!)  Inside, he’s a cuddly couch potato who enjoys snuggling up.  Outside, he’s always up for long walks and fun adventures. This favorite adventure is getting ice cream at the garden center.   He thrives in a home that offers structure and gentle guidance.  His play style is laid-back, so he’d do best with other chill dogs or as the only pup in the house soaking up all the love.  He eats and sleeps comfortably in his crate.  Koda has been tested with dogs, kids, and cats — and does well! Koda is ready to bring joy, love, and companionship to his forever home. Could that be with you? Interested in adopting Koda or learning more? Reach out — let’s help this sweet boy find his perfect family! Koda is neuteredand up to date on vaccinations.  He is available for adoption today through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL 16182 ##2443183##

Story
Mopsy is a 5-6 month old husky mix. She is about 40 pounds. She is a playful energetic puppy who wants nothing more than to give you love and kisses. She loves to snuggle and believes that she is a lap dog. She plays well with other dogs and is good with kids although I recommend a family with older kids as she does the typical husky mouthiness when playing. She is awesome in her crate and is doing really well with house training.  She hasn’t been around cats so we don’t know about that. I recommend a family who will give her an active and snuggly life! She’s also gorgeous. ##2436565##

Story
Smokey is an adorable 18 month old husky mix. She is very smart and wants to please. Smokey loves to run and try to jump in the air to catch fire flies and bugs. Smokey is crate trained and doing a great job on her house training. She loves to take naps and then go for a long walk. She is good with kids but has not been around small animals. She would do best with an active family or a fenced in yard with a friend to run and play with. ##2452099##
