Story
Hey hey hey!! The name is Judd, and I’m the happiest boy! I came from Kentucky after my housemates were poisoned and my family feared the same would happen to me.  I’m about 13 months old and a husky/lab mix. My foster mom tells me that my husky side shows a lot. I would prefer a home without chickens and possibly cats (I like to chase them but haven’t tried to hurt them). I also like to jump so I will need watched in a fenced in yard. I know how to sit and shake, and I’m potty trained too. I’ve done well in my crate at night and while my foster parents are at work. I may cry for a few minutes but settle down for pretty quickly. With slow introductions, I’ve done well with other dogs as long as they don’t try to challenge me. Needless to say, I’m a young dog that has puppy antics. I would love a home to show me how to be the best. Could that be your home?!? I'm available to go home on 3-30-24! ##1985082##

Story
Hi, I’m Dena. I’m a one year old husky/lab mix with beautiful golden eyes!  I am a good medium sized dog at about 40 pounds.  I love other dogs - I play all day with my foster siblings including a  small chiweenie who has been becoming my bestie while i‘m here — us rescue dogs, we stick together!I am a bit shy at first and new places make me nervous, but I love all people and am a snuggler. I ended up at the shelter with my brother, Judd — who also came to CYP — because a mean person poisoned some of our housemates and our people were afraid that would happen to us too.  I basically leave the cats alone at my foster home, so I can live with cats.   I‘m looking forward to finding my forever home, please apply if you think it could be with you! ##1985706##

Story
Look at Miss Kira! This beautiful girl is approaching her 1st birthday and would love to find her forever family whose she's been patiently waiting for.  Kira came to us when she was found abandoned outside in her crate on New Years. Did this crush her fearless, loving, and trusting deamenor? No! Kira loves all people and gets along well with other dogs. Kira does coexist with cats but is prone to chase without redirection.  Kira does require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Kira would love to belong to an active, dog savvy family that can provide her with the physical and mental stimulation she needs.  Kira is doing great with her crate and house training.  If you're interested in giving this beautiful, loving dog her happy ending, please apply today! This dog is available now!  Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale PA 15144  /  KL# 16182 ##1987894##

Story
Meet Olive! This pretty girl is a 5 month old husky shepard mix with big blue eyes and lots of personality! Olive currently weighs about 30 pounds and will most likely be a medium sized dog when full grown. Olive loves meeting new people and will greet you with kisses. She loves to play and has lots of energy! Once shes gotten her energy out she would love to snuggle up with her person. Or another pup! Olive gets along great with her foster sister and has been learning tons of new things from her. She will need an adopter who can continue to work with her on manners. Olive has been working hard on potty training and is doing great. If kept on a consistant schedule she is well on her way to being fully house trained. She also does well in her crate, sleeping overnight with no issues and also spends time during the day in her crate. Olive came into rescue with a limp in her right front leg. It was found to be an old fracture and she was initially expected to have surgery to repair this leg. After being seen by a specialist it has been recommended to leave her leg the way it is. Because the fracture is old and the bone has already healed, to do surgery and rebreak it is highly advised against. Olive came to Paws Across Pittsburgh from a high kill shelter where she unfortunately was most likely dumped due to having a broken leg but that won't stop her! Olive walks, runs and plays just fine on her leg as of now and it doesnt slow her down a bit or seem to cause her discomfort. As for her future the recommendation is that she is kept on the leaner side as to not add extra stress to her leg and given pain meds when needed if/when her leg becomes sore.  Olive is a super sweet girl ready to find her forever family!Apply at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt Olive is available for adoption now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale PA 15144 KL#16182 ##2008788##
