Story
Rajah he’s 5, neutered, very sweet and smart! Great with kids. I have two chihuahuas he’s okay with but they were here before him. No sure how he’d do with little dogs that have possibly established dominance in the new household. He’d prob be best with being an only pet. He’s okay with bigger dogs most of the time though. Cats, he will definitely chase and bother. He has a very high prey drive. He will get a rabbit, groundhog, any rodent and play/kill it. He’s going to need to be in a fenced in back yard or leash/tie out. he’s an amazing dog. He just needs someone that can give him the time I don’t have. He wants to run and play fetch and be a goofball. Anyone that meets him will love him! He’s truly a sweet heart

Story
Ghost is a great dog the only problem is he's not good around small animals and cats especially. when he sees them and they're running he goes right after them and he will hurt them. He will do very well in a home with no small animals . He does well with kids and other dogs. He has grown up with the cats in our house but has still has issues with containing himself and going after them. He also cannot be an only dog he needs companionship. Want to make sure he goes so good home cuz I do not want to see him surrender to a shelter and stuck in a cage by himself.

Story
Updated bio for Herbert Hi! I’m Herbert — im possibly Husky-Shepard mix and a little over one year old. I’m neutered, potty trained, and learning more every day. My leash skills are pretty good, and my manners keep improving as I grow into the best version of myself. I weigh just 40 pounds — the perfect smaller medium-sized dog. Big enough to be your adventure buddy, but compact enough to fit comfortably into everyday life. I am incredibly friendly — I love people, I’m great with kids, I do well with cats, and I especially enjoy being around other dogs. If there’s a chance to make a new friend, I’m all in. I do have a bit of that young-dog energy, but I settle into a routine easily and thrive when I know what to expect. I’m also non-destructive in the home and do well with structure and guidance. With exercise, consistency, and love, I’ll happily be your loyal sidekick. My absolute favorite thing? Being close to my person. I love to cuddle, lean into you, and be right by your side. If you’re looking for a best friend who will greet you with excitement and then curl up next to you at the end of the day, I’m your guy. I can’t wait to meet my forever family. ##2524390##

Story
Dear potential family, my name is Jethro, and I'm a smart, fluffy boy looking for my forever home. I may come across as a bit of a show-off, but that's just because I love to explore and show off my skills! I adore walks and spending time outdoors, soaking up all the sights and smells. I must admit, it takes me a little time to warm up to new people, but once I do, I'm incredibly loyal and protective. I'm looking for someone who understands that building a bond with me will take patience and understanding. Experience with dogs is a plus, as it would be helpful if you were to understand my unique needs and quirks. In terms of living arrangements, I'd prefer to be the only pet in the household, and I think I'd thrive best in a home without children. I'm very alert and resourceful, qualities that make me a great companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion to share your adventures with, I could be the perfect match for you. Let's grow our bond together and create countless memories. I can't wait to meet you! Sincerely, Jethro.

Story
Meet Missy! Missy is an 8-month-old, 40lb Husky mix who is finally ready to find her forever family… and we could not be more excited for this special girl! Missy deserves the world. Truly. She is the sweetest, silliest soul with so much love to give. When Missy first arrived three weeks ago, she was utterly terrified. Surrendered through no fault of her own, her previous family simply had too many dogs and couldn’t give her the time or care she deserved. Missy went from living her whole life in a familiar pack of dogs with her parents to the overwhelming reality of a kennel. Life at home was all she had ever known and suddenly everything changed. She didn’t know how to leash walk. She wasn’t used to a collar. The world felt big and scary. She would cower in the back of her kennel, unsure of new people and new surroundings. Our team worked so hard to help her understand she was safe - that hands could be gentle, that voices could be kind, that the world wasn’t something to fear. And oh… have we seen the light come back into her eyes. Now? Missy is HAPPY. She loves to run. She loves to zoom. She loves being outside and feeling the wind in her fur. And more than anything? She LOVES being with her people. If you’ve been searching for a velcro dog… you’ve met your soulmate. Missy wants to be touching her humans 24/7. She walks nicely on leash and is an incredibly smart girl with so much potential. She’s still timid with new people at first, but once you’re in? You’re in for life. You’ll have a loyal best friend who will reward your patience and love every single day. Missy does well with other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with another confident pup to help her continue building trust. She would likely do well with cats. Because she can still be nervous with loud or unpredictable environments, she’s looking for a home without young children - older teens who understand giving a shy dog time and space would be just fine. We are beyond proud of how far Missy has come. Now all she needs is someone willing to see her, to give her the chance she’s been waiting for. All of our adoptable pets are... - Spayed or neutered - Vaccinated - Blood tested - Microchipped - Flea treated & dewormed You can email us at adopt@whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com or give us a call at 412-672-8901 for more info!

Story
Remi and Apollo are litter mates who we believe are bonded. They got separated while running loose and tried desperately to find each other. Once each one was captured, miles apart, they were reunited. They were so happy to see each other. We’d love to see them go home together. They are such good boys. They are both Friendly and playful. They need a good grooming after being on the run for a week or so. We will get pictures of them after the groom to show how beautiful they are
