Story
Meet George 🐾 George is a 9-month-old miniature labradoodle (about 9 lbs) looking for a loving new home. He’s a happy, friendly little guy who loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He is crate trained, up to date on vaccinations, and has been well cared for. Due to unexpected health complications affecting his owner, his owner is unfortunately no longer able to provide the time and care George deserves. This decision has been made with a lot of love and is solely in hopes of finding George the best possible home. George would thrive in a home where he’ll get lots of attention, companionship, and love 💛 Please reach out and share a bit about yourself and the home you’d provide.

Story
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY APPLIED TO ADOPT FAUNA. Please do not apply if you are retired and over the age of 70. Fauna is only 3 and we’d like to guarantee she spends the rest of her life with her next home. Fauna is a 3 year old (April 2023) Australian Labradoodle who is about 18-20 lbs. She generally has a calm temperament, is relatively quiet, and will find every opportunity to sit on you. She enjoys both stuffed and rubber toys and is quite treat-motivated when it comes to training. She is flexible in energy levels - she can stay home all day or she can run laps at the dog park. She is likely the best fit with someone with a younger household with similar energy levels as her and who doesn't mind a slightly anxious dog. We love her and would love to spend the rest of her life together, but unfortunately, some medical issues on our part have arisen and we can no longer keep her. She has no known major medical issues aside from some mild seasonal allergies.

Story
*Note: Benny is currently in Korea but will be arriving in San Francisco once he is adopted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please visit our website.BackgroundBenny’s story began on the streets. After being taken to a high-kill shelter, his name appeared on the euthanasia list but fate had other plans. He was saved just in time, and today Benny lives happily alongside other dogs at a boarding house, waiting for the forever home he so deserves.Personality and SocializationBenny is a gentle, sweet, and wonderfully social boy with a medium energy level that makes him an easy, adaptable companion. He loves the company of other dogs, especially those around his own size. He plays well with them and genuinely thrives in their company. With people, Benny is an absolute cuddle bug. He’s warm and affectionate, loves attention, and has no fear of men. Whether it’s snuggle time on the sofa or simply being near his people, Benny is happiest when he feels connected.BehaviourBenny is a well-mannered, easy-going boy in day-to-day life. He walks beautifully on a leash and loves his outdoor time. He is calm and comfortable in the car, and is equally patient and well-behaved during baths, nail clipping, and grooming sessions. For potty, he prefers to go outdoors but will use indoor pee pads when needed. He currently shows no separation anxiety when in the company of other dogs.Health and DietBenny is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped, and receives monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no signs of food allergies. There are two health conditions to be aware of. Benny was diagnosed with Stage B2 heart disease and requires daily heart medication. He is stable and well-managed, and to help with the transition, Benny will come with two months of heart medication included. Benny has also recently developed nuclear sclerosis, a natural age-related change to the lens of the eye that causes a mild hazy appearance. It does not cause significant vision loss and requires no treatment. It is a common symptom associated with aging.Ideal HomeBenny doesn’t ask for much. He just wants to be loved. His ideal family is someone who can give him plenty of time and companionship. A work-from-home professional or retiree would be a wonderful match. Most importantly, his new family should be comfortable managing his heart medication and attending routine vet check-ups. In return, Benny will give you everything he has: unconditional love, endless loyalty, and all the cuddles you could ever want. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for?*Note: Benny is currently in Korea but will be arriving in San Francisco once he is adopted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please visit our website.
