Story
I adopted Leo from my local shelter. He is almost 2 years old. I’m looking for his new forever home that can take him on long walks and hikes to keep him active and continue his training. He is a very energetic and excitable dog around people, other dogs and cats. He loves to play with plushy toys supervised and hard chew toys in his kennel. He is crate and potty trained, able to be in crate up to eight hours if necessary. He responds well to a consistent schedule and reinforcing good behavior. He knows lots of tricks such as, sit, down, shake, spin, stay, go to bed (crate) and come here. He is always ready to learn new skills and is looking for the perfect cuddle buddy!

Story
Have you ever met a mutt that is just the life of the party, the very center of attention? Charming Chagall is one such dog, he’s a ham who enjoys being the apple of your eye. This dapper gentleman has a coat burnished to perfection with a sweet frosting face, the only sign of his advanced age. This pit/lab mix is treat motivated, meaning you can easily win him over with treats, but he also adores the adoration of his fans – he lives for the applause. So smiles and cuddles and making a fuss will work almost as well as those tasty tidbits. If you think things in your day to day have gotten a bit dull, we can promise that Chagall will lighten it up! Here's some notes from his foster: If you're looking for the perfect cuddly companion to keep you warm this winter, look no further than Chagall! Chagall is the sweetest boy who loves people and is always up for pets and snuggles. Chagall is potty trained and has no problems waiting through the night to go out in the morning. During the day time, he benefits from being let out routinely. Chagall knows how to sit and could probably continue to learn tricks as he is extremely treat/food motivated. He gobbles up his meals with no complaints. He is very energetic and loves to go on walks, play with toys, and has no issues going up and down stairs and hopping into the car to go out on adventures. He is just as happy sunbathing and lounging on the couch with people.

Story
Prepare for trouble! Make it double! You may not think you’re in the market for two dogs, but when you lay eyes on the unlikely pairing of this black lab and chihuahua combo, you’re going to wonder how you lived without them! Gizmo, the frosting-faced chihuahua, likes to shelter behind his big brother’s legs when he’s feeling nervous (and, like his namesake, probably goes a bit crazy if you get him wet or feed him after midnight). King, as regal as his name implies, is a stately senior who enjoys treats and hanging with his buddy, Gizmo. Both of these gorgeous gentleman are prepared to be pampered in their forever home, so if you’re looking for a dynamic duo, you can’t go wrong with Gizmo and King! Here's some notes from their foster: They both know their name, which comes in handy when calling them. They can go potty, on command😉 Before I go to bed, I make them go in the backyard and tell them 'go potty ' & they do! They sleep thru the night. They share their food, etc. King-He LOVES when I get out his harness for a walk! His tail goes crazy. He gets a little too excited when he sees other dogs coming so I try to distract him. No problems with humans. He can go around 1 city block. He walks slowly. He loves to give kisses and is a very sweet boy. NO accidents in the house! Woo hoo! Gizmo- he is not your typical Chihuahua. He also LOVES our walks. He leads the walks, even in the rain & cold. He rarely shivers or barks. He's on a mission to smell everything. He can do a good pace! He's a very independent dude. They are a very cute couple. Thanks for letting me foster them!

Rex, neutered male, 2 year 6 months, 31-Lbs. If you would like to give REX a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application About Rex: Rex is a handsome young pup with pleasant personality, he is mellow and friendly by nature. He adapted and thrived quickly in foster care. Being friendly, affectionate, and aimed to please, he can easily befriend strangers and kids; also gets along well with dogs and cats as well. His favorite pastime is hanging out with doggie play pals in the park, car riding and his daily walks. Rex would be a great candidate for any type of family who is looking for a loyal and loving companion pet. Rex’s rescue story: Rex has been wandering in a park for a while before a dog lover noticed him then gave him food. The dog lover is an expatriate in Taiwan who already has dogs at home therefore has no space for Rex. All she can do is to offer food and find support to help Rex. We responded to the request and take Rex into our adoption program. We suppose that Rex used to be a family dog since he is very close to humans, but unfortunately got abandoned. Rex was placed with a foster home after a complete health check. Rex received a clean bill of health and is patiently waiting for his 2nd chance to join his forever home. Rose, Spayed female, 5-months-old, 28-lbs If you would like to give Rose a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Rose is a super sweet young pup with charming personality. She is lively and affectionate, but can be stable and well behaved if commanded so; a perfect pup that is loved by everyone in her foster family. Rose is quiet and heeds orders, never got into fight with others for food or toys, she’s also an excellent walking companion. Like any young pups, she’s very food motivated, playful and enjoys the company of other dogs, and stays calm around cats. She’s loving by nature, responds to recall very well; she’s potty trained to go outside, also crate trained to sleep overnight; not a barker or chewer when inside the house. Rose being young and playful, she will do best for family looking for a companion pet, or sibling to the existing family dog. About Rose’s rescue: Rose and her three siblings were found cuddling in a box set at the corner of a rundown shed in the suburb. Facing the imminent storm, the rescuer had no choice but to take the pups in and find sheltering homes for them. Rose is full of curiosity and is easy to approach with food. Story
*Note: Currently, Shiloh is in Korea, but she will arrive in San Francisco upon adoption. Background Shiloh is a beautiful girl who was rescued from a city pound in Buan, Korea last summer. After her rescue, she moved to our partner boarding house, where she has been living peacefully with other dogs. At the time of rescue, Shiloh was heartworm positive. She bravely completed her treatment and is now healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever home. Personality and Socialization Shiloh has a lovely Golden Retriever type personality. She is friendly, social, and very people oriented. She is comfortable with both men and women and enjoys being around people, getting attention, and snuggling close. She is not shy and warms up easily, making her a joy to be around. Shiloh has lived with many dogs and does best with friendly dogs who enjoy playtime. She loves running around and spending time outdoors, and she gets along well with dogs that have good manners and positive energy. Behaviour Shiloh is easygoing and well balanced. She enjoys playtime with dogs and people, but once she has had her fun, she is happy to lie down and relax nearby. She is not a big barker. She may bark a little when excited, such as at mealtime or when visitors arrive, but these are happy, short moments. She enjoys going for walks and loves outdoor time. She may pull a bit when she is excited, but overall she walks well on leash. Shiloh handles vet visits, baths, and car rides calmly and cooperatively. Health and Diet Shiloh has fully completed her heartworm treatment and is now healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated up to date. She has also completed dental scaling and receives monthly parasite preventatives. She eats dry food twice a day, is not a picky eater, and has shown no signs of food allergies. Ideal Home Shiloh loves being with her people and would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. Having another friendly dog to play with would be wonderful, as she enjoys canine companionship. A calm, loving family with a relaxed lifestyle and plenty of time to spend together would be the perfect match for this gentle, affectionate girl. Shiloh is truly a special soul, ready to give her whole heart to the family who welcomes her home. ------------------------------------ For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/shiloh/
