Story
A5662995 Ozzie is a sweet neutered male Labrador Retriever puppy!! He is estimated at 10 months and shows all the exuberant energy and curiosity one expects from a spry young pup!  Ozzie has a black coat with a little white underbelly and the floppiest of ears.  Due to his chaotic nature, we recommend Ozzie be in an adult-only household so he receives the proper attention needed to acclimate to his household.  He is playful and we believe he would do best as the only dog in household or with other large dogs.  He is treat motivated and shows potential for common training.  We do not know if he shows signs of potty training.  He loves playing with toys and has a very bright and focused gaze when he plays.  He has a very alert nature and requires a home that can dedicate the proper time and energy into housing him. Shows signs of teething Has not been taught “house manners” but is sweet, intelligent, and very playful Estimated 48 pounds now but expect him to keep growing! Hyper and spry, as expected from any puppy Loving and playful disposition with lots of energy Pulls on leash out of excitement Sweet boy! Other dogs who are “rough housing” play types overwhelm and scare him Arrived at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 04-19-25   ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. #A5696937 Meet Sheldon , a 4-year-old black lab with marshmallow-dipped toes, a velvety coat, and a grin that goes ear to ear (complete with a floppy tongue that pops out when he’s excited)! He’s your classic dog-next-door: laid-back, friendly, and full of charm - the kind of pup who’d be flipping burgers at the block party if he had thumbs. Sheldon is inquisitive, social, and always ready to make a new friend - human or canine. He’s been at the shelter a bit longer than he deserves and could use a little TLC (a spa day even!), but his sweet, joyful spirit shines through. Great on leash, knows his basics like “sit,” and shows signs of potty training - this guy is the full package deal. Ready to meet your new best bud? Sheldon’s waiting!  -4 year old black and white Labrador mix -88 pound neutered male -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 5/4/25 as a stray -velvety jet black coat with delicately marshmallow dipped toesies, a happy grin, and a loooong floppy tongue that peeks out whenever he's excited -totally the dog next door - chill, laid back, and super friendly - if he were human, he'd be the guy manning the grill at the 4th of July block party -charming, inquisitive, and wants to be everyone's best buddy - just a happy go lucky kind of guy! -has been at the shelter for a while, so could use a spa day to be his most handsome self -good on leash, shows some signs of potty training, and knows basic commands like sit - a complete package deal! Story
River was adopted from a backyard breeder in El Monte at about three months old. She is very energetic and loving. She needs to be in an active home where she’ll have many opportunities to get exercise. She loves to swim and play fetch. Although she will be eight years old this October, she is just as exuberant as she was as a puppy. She is potty trained, crate trained, and up to date on her shots and physicals. She is very healthy. This is a very difficult decision for our family and we hope to find the right person or family for her to live out her golden years.
