He will lay by or on your feet at any given chance, and he'll try his hardest to be in your lap. This big boy is sure to make you laugh when he entertains himself with his ball. Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Ash is a very loving boy! He does have a list of medical problems and will need to be strictly, medically managed throughout his life. The most important is a liver shunt. As we have been told, his is inoperable. Therefore, he will need to remain on a special prescription diet and medications throughout his life. Veering off his strict diet will cause toxins to build up in his body. Due to the liver shut and other medical issues he has a hard time controlling his bowel and bladder. Ash has medical related behaviors. When the protein levels in his body are to high he can become aggressive. This is usually towards other animals but he is also grouchy with humans during this time. As his liver shunt worsens, it is possible his behaviors will increase. Sleep is also a bit of a challenge for him. He takes frequent naps but doesn't sleep for long periods of time or make it through the night. Ash is a great boy with lots of energy, loves life and being with his human.   If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Adoption fee is $215  with approved application, applications can be filled out at this link. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic . ##1413871##

Labrador Retriever Pit Bull Terrier

Male, 10 yrs 7 mos
Aurora, IN
Size
(when grown) -
Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
JT is a 10 year old lab pit mix who was rescued in the summer of 2016 extremely malnourished.  He has lived in adult only homes until a few years ago.  He now has two young skin siblings and a 6 year old Golden Retriever Brother. He is incredibly sweet and loving and has never had any violent incidents, and has never bitten anyone, until a recent incident occurred.  The two youngsters were playing and dancing around the dogs and when the older one was trying to get him to move, she hit him on the behind (he's always been sensitive on his back end) and he snapped at her and bit her below the eye. He was instantly remorseful and knew what he did was wrong. The owner said that she truly believes that he wouldn’t do it again and that it is completely out of character, but can’t take that chance with young kids, knowing that they don’t understand boundaries with pets.  We would love to find him a family without young children. ##2352731##
