Story
Asteroid is a 4-year-old, 68-lb Black Lab Mix who loves cuddles and being close to his people. We are excited to introduce a special companion who comes with his own unique 'superpowers.' Asteroid excels in showering affection as he loves to be close by your side, always seeking physical contact. He's also a smart performer who eagerly responds to commands for tasty treats. When it comes to house training, he's familiar with signaling when he needs to go outside-either with a bark or by getting your attention and heading to the door. However, due to previous living conditions, he might occasionally struggle and opt for an indoor spot if his signals are missed. Asteroid is incredibly sociable with people and thrives on meeting new friends, quickly warming up to everyone he encounters. His favorite pastimes include chewing on bones, playing with squeaky toys, and playfully gathering your shoes (though he never damages them) to engage you in a game. If you're seeking a devoted companion who showers you with kisses upon your return and enjoys snuggling day and night, Asteroid could be the perfect match for you. Asteroid is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. Story
Meet Chris! Chris is 1 year old (birthday is 12/4/2022) lab mix weighing about 50 lbs. He is kind, sweet, playful, smart, and very energetic. His is a lab mix, but we think the mix is with border collie. Chris has lots and lots of endless energy. He needs lots of play time, love, and attention. Chris takes time warming up to kids. Once he finds his person, he will love you fiercely and try his best to protect you. He's not necessarily picky over men or women but needs time to warm up to any humans. Chris loves toys but must be supervised with them since he loves them to pieces. He does best with nylon bones or kong toys. He loves a good peanut butter kong too. He also loves to catch tennis balls and frisbees. He loves to play fetch, do obstacles, and play in the water (not a bath). The baby pool and the hose are his absolute favorite things. He will chase the hose for hours if you let him. He also loves playing with other dog friends. He'll even play with the cats if the cats let him. Chris knows basic commands (sit, down, stay, go to your bed). He also waits to eat his food until you tell him "okay, go ahead". He sleeps in his own bed, but if you wanted him to cuddle in bed or on the couch he definitely would! He walks with a harness but gets pretty excited so needs some work on the walking skills. Chris would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day and/or has a canine buddy (or buddies) to help burn his energy. If you are looking for a new best friend, who will love you fiercely and is always happy to see you, then Chris is your guy! Chris is currently being fostered in Morrow, OH. His adoption fee is $275. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Gable - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Named after a real life 'ladies man' Clark Gable, this here ladies man is ready to let all that be 'Gone With The Wind' and to settle down in a loving home. I want to say goodbye to 'Love On The Run' and just enjoy my belly rubs, ear scratches and some of those nice tasty treats. This family life is going to be all that, like being given the 'Key To The City'!! Here at my new foster home, I’m happily browsing around for any kind of yummy smells but when my foster mom says the word “ride” I jump in the truck lickety split. Going for a ride is one of my favorite things, making me a pawsome co-pilot. I come in at about 45 pounds and at around 5 years young, I still love having a blast going on adventures! My salt and pepper muzzle gives me a very distinguished look that the ladies tend to love (what can I say, this Gable has still got it!!), along with my 'turn you to mush' expressive eyes, I am just too handsome, what's not to love! I really really enjoy my cuddle time and will sit patiently waiting for my time to get me some lovins! I love to curl up right next to you and get as close as possible. And oh, did I mention how I will do anything for belly rubs?!!!! This ole boy hasn't let life get me down. 'It Happened One Night', I found myself in the local doggie jail, thinking I was gonna be doing 10 to life, but the judge was lenient and I'm out on parole for good behavior (and I really am a good boy!). I'm a very laid back and mellow fella, going with the flow, not wanting to make any extra work, which makes for me to be a great family addition even for a first time pet parent. Does I sound like a good fit for your family, I sure do hope so?! Please fill out my adoption application and let’s get me a 'Homecoming'...to your home!!!

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Cub - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Howdy!! My name is Cub and I am an 8 month old Labrador Retriever/Boxer mix!! What a winning combination:) I gets my smarts and love of people from the world's most popular dog (the Lab) and my cute slightly squished visage from the beautiful Boxer!! Foster Mum says I am the easiest and most loving pup she has ever fostered!! I walk on and off leash and go directly to my play yard after our walks to the river are finished...I don't run around and make Foster Mum chase after me like some of the pups. She tells me "Cub, go to your yard" and I go directly without hesitation. I am leash trained, crate trained and house trained. I know basic human speak and try really hard to please my Foster family. Did I mention that I LOVE going to the river on our daily walks? I love the cool flow of the river and will sink into it up to my ears :) My second favorite activity is to carry toys around in my mouth to show them to everyone I meet!! I don't tear up my toys, I just carry them carefully and walk up to everyone to show them my prize (we didn't have toys in the joint, so I am grateful for these blessings!) I am mostly fully growed at 42 pounds, so I am the perfect sized medium dog to snuggle with on the couch and join you on action adventure hikes and overnights. My life didn't start off great, but I am a "glass is half full" kinda dog!! I was found as a stray at the tender age of 8 weeks, and stayed at the shelter for 4 months...until a volunteer for Hay Dude sprung me out and brought me to the ranch. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the ranch!! I have always had a happy go lucky, joy filled personality (even during my unjust incarceration!). Living with my Foster family on the ranch is fabulous, but my dream is to have that special person (or persons) with whom to share my life. If you have been searching for the ideal dog who is grateful, funny, and fun loving, your search is over!! Please fill out my online application and adopt me today!
