Story
Hi, I'm Knox. I'm a high energy, fun pup looking for an experienced owner willing to give me training and socialization. We rescued Knox from a poor situation at about 10months old. He was kept in a crate for 12-18 hours a day. He was emaciated when we took him in and needed full vetting. Since rescuing Knox in May of 2024, he has come a long way! However, he is now at a point of needing more training than we cannot provide in our current state of life. Knox is very high energy! He is crate trained and stays in a crate while we are at work during the day. He's house trained. He loves playing with our older lab, but hes not enough energy for him! He loves running in the yard with my two younger boys. He is very interested in the cat and will chase him, but does not harm him. He does ok on a leash and responds to treats for commands. Knox needs an owner willing to work on socialization and training with new people and strangers or animals outside of the house and yard.

Story
We've had the dog since she was a baby had her for 8 years.. she was our covert dog when covert came around. She was always an inside dog and never had interaction with people that's why she's aggressive. She also does not get along with other female dogs male dogs she does fine with. We have three children in our house and she is very nice to all of our kids, I do not know how she was react around other kids. She is a jumper and loves to jump on people. She knows how to sit she knows how to give Paw, and she will go to the front door to let you know she has to go to the restroom. We keep her in the kennel at night time when we are asleep so she does not get into mischief. We also put her in their cage when we are away from the house. One reason we are getting rid of her is because she is aggressive to other people she does not know, she does not do good with other dogs being female. Cannot take her with us where we are going and I do not want to put her down, give her a second chance.

Story
We are looking to rehome one of our dogs Argo. She is three years old and was great with our kids. Argo does not get along with our 20 pound Maltese poodle and is very territorial in general. She will protect a house and an owner, that is for sure. She is also in constant need of attention and has major anxiety when left alone for long periods of time. She is an extremely beautiful dog and very loving to us but we think she will do best in a single-pet home and an owner who is willing to train her, walk her and give her undivided attention. We just do not have space or time for her. She is a lab shepherd mix. We just do NOT want her to go to a shelter.

Story
This handsome man is Atlas! Atlas is a 5-month-old Lab mix who weighs about 30 pounds. Based on his current weight, we expect him to be a large dog when he grows up! Atlas is your typical puppy - happy, silly, and just trying to figure out the world! He enjoys playing and digging in the snow, playing with toys, and even seems to be fond of bath time! Atlas is a very smart boy and has been working on some tricks! He would love a family who will continue to teach him fun things as he seems to enjoy his short training sessions already! He loves attention and will be happy to play and snuggle with you all while becoming your best friend! Since he loves spending time with his people, he can be vocal at times in his crate or when he is not with you. For this reason, apartment living would not be the best environment for him. He is not yet house-trained, so his family will need to be okay with continuing to help him master that skill! If you are looking for a large, goofy best friend to add to your forever family, apply today! Atlas is fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
