Story
Meet Patty! This sweet girl was rescued as a stray in Georgia with her two siblings and traveled to CAAA to find her forever home! Patty is a little introverted at first but with lots of snacks and gentle pats, she'll be an absolute lovebug in no time. She's spent a lot of time in foster with other confident pups, and even a feisty cat and made fast friends. She loves her humans and will take a good cuddle sesh anytime. Her confidence has come a long way since she arrived but we are hoping in a home setting and with continued socialization, she'll see the world as a fun place! Patty would do best with a confident canine friend. As a pup who has been looking for her forever home a bit longer I am part of our Extended Stay Club and my adoption fee is reduced to help me find a family to call my own. Apply online today and come down to visit me during open hours once approved! You can find the application at https://capeannanimalaid.org/adopt.html

Welcome Dallas and crew! These four pups made their way to us from GA! Originally a pack of ten, six found their forever homes down South and the other four have come to NE! These kids are all incredibly sweet, playful and likely to be a good size. With a bit of puppy training to learn some manners, they would made a lovely addition to most any home. Story
Riley is a 1 year old lab mix adopted from a shelter. She has been with us since she was 4 months old. She is a sweet and energetic dog. We are looking to rehome her because apartment living isn’t a great fit for her. She struggles to be in a crate for longer periods of time and she can bark when she’s nervous. We’re hoping to find Rylie a home with outdoor space and lots of room to play.

Story
Sweet and sensitive girlie, PIGLET is older puppy perfection. She is fostered in Beverly MA with resident dogs and teens too. She is well on her way with the house training and other basics. Loves a good snuggle. And is always down for some play! Says her foster mom––“Piglet is great and getting more confident each day. She is either playing or sleeping. She is great at entertaining herself with a ball or a toy inside and outside. She loves being outside on nice days. She loves cuddling, dogs and humans alike. She is such a fun puppy! She absolutely loves my dogs. The first few days she was a bit shy around them. once she felt comfortable, she was right in the pack, playing with the big boys! She has puppy zoomies around 7pm then relaxes on the couch after for a snuggle. The couch is her favorite place. She’s a typical puppy, an excellent dog ,with beautiful eyes!” She is available to a home anywhere in New England and into NY with a resident dog. She is not cat tested. And she can live with respectful children. Story
–– , + , ! Says her foster fam––“ ! , , , ! . ! . ’ . . ’ . ! . - . . , . . ’ ’ . . , .” Her rescue story––Pancake is a VERY lucky girl as she almost didn’t make it out of the shelter alive. This sweet dog was attacked and like most municipal shelters, the do not have the resources to provide vetting. We tagged her and she went to medical boarding for almost 2 weeks before settling in to a southern foster home before traveling north. She was fostered with MANY dogs there and loves to play. She is now in Billerica MA and though she loves all the attention and is gaining confidence as an only dog, she would make a lovely companion to another dog too. Pancake was a volunteer favorite during her isolation in MA and just won our hearts. We want her to have the world, she deserves it! Pancake ! Her transition into your home will be supported by one of our trainers (3 sessions!) to set herr and your home up for success for his transition from homeless to home! We piloted this program in Fall 2023 with great success.  Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival to MA. Pups not pre-adopted are available to meet in their MA foster homes after your application is approved. Should this pup receive an adoption commitment prior to your application being processed, we will share with you the other arriving pups that may be a match for you, some of which are not yet posted online. THIS PUP IS STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS LISTING––we pull listings down after receiving 2 - 3 viable applications to minimize adopter disappointment. Please do not email, simply submit an application link here www.rescueinc.dog/adopt and we do respond to every application within 48 hours.  Read through our adoption FAQs here www.rescueinc.dog/FAQs and our adoption process is here www.rescueinc.dog/the-process All of our pups come with the following:  spayed or neutered age appropriate vaccinations + dewormed + 4DX test (if older than 6 months) health certificates  dosed with flea and tick + heartworm preventatives new martingale collar (sometimes a harness) with 6' lead + temp ID tag 30-days free insurance to be activated within 24 hours of your wellness visit with your veterinarian microchip with free registration  sample of Canidae food that your pup is eating prior to pick up  WE ISOLATE OUR OWN PUPS in our state licensed facility, which means we have eyes on your puppy or dog for the MA mandated 48 hours. Story
Seriously cute, seriously social! This great litter is rolling north at the beginning of April. Mom is 52 pounds (she is traveling too!) and she came into rescue after birthing her babes in a hollow tree. This family has been in a southern foster home since the puppies were 2 weeks old and they are just your typical happy, roly poly, litter that is on the schedule of play, eat, nap, repeat! Momma "Bunnie" has the best mom and has been with them since weaned.  Given their current age and weight, Dad could be larger than their mom and we estimate they will be medium to large dogs when full grown. Ready for home on 4/14 in Amesbury MA.  Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival to MA. If you would like to apply to take Hope home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. HOPE is a sweet, gentle soul. She started out with a hard life. She came to us with three day old puppies but in need of vet care herself. Her babies were sent to a bottle-feeding foster but Hope became depressed while at the vets office. Once she was finally in her foster home, she took a little while to decompress and give her trust. Once she is in a routine and knows her people, she’s such a happy dog. She loves all other dogs very much… friendly but submissive. Young to old, shy to playful, she’d do very well in a multi-dog household. A DOG IN THE HOME IS A MUST HAVE!!! Hope needs a fenced in yard, she might need to be carried out at first until she feels confident, and used to going out at her new home. She is NOT an apartment dog. She absolutely loves to be outside whether basking in the sun or chasing chipmunks. Hope is very shy around new people and while she will settle in, she needs a patient, gentle, encouraging human to spend her life with. She’s a very special dog, who DOES NOT need walks in the park, car rides, or hikes through the woods… but a quiet, routine life. As you can see in the picture hope does have a disabled leg, she manages very well with it and it doesn’t cause her any pain so under the advice of the vet we opted not to remove it, it just requires being kept clean. There’s someone out there waiting, just for her… is it you? Hope is available for a meet and greet in CT

Josie is a 2-3 year old lab mix girl that was found by a member of our team running along a busy road and extremely emaciated, she’s been through heart worm treatment with us and is now looking for a forever home. She’s 43lbs, has medium energy, about a 5/10, loves all the people she meets including children. She is good with other male dogs is selective with females and only good with submissive female. Also crate and house-trained, her only downside is no cats! Other than that she’s a sweetheart, a very gentle girl that doesn’t jump up.
