Bella is a very sweet 10 yr old lab mix. We got her from a shelter 10 years ago as a puppy, and have loved her ever since. Unfortunately we are moving out of state to care for elder parents and will not be able to take her with us in our new location. She is fully house trained, and is fine lying around most of the day. She is happy to go for long walks or ride in the car, but she does not require lots of exercise. She is well behaved walking with a leash, and does not pull. She has never bitten anybody, but is shy around strangers at first. She is good with kids and other pets. Bella does not have any health complications. She has recently had a full check up and all of the usual shots. We are heartbroken to give her up, but are hopeful to find a nice new family. She may be a good pet for an elderly person because she does not need a lot of exercise and generally just likes to be a companion.

Meet Lohara! This sweet girl is from Puerto Rico and has been in our care since February. She’s had a rough start on her journey to find her forever home. Shortly after arriving, she became lethargic and unwell, and we later discovered she was suffering from acute renal failure caused by leptospirosis. She has since been treated and is doing much better, though because of her medical history she is considered a special-needs adoption.After spending time in isolation while recovering, Lohara was understandably nervous and shy. But this lovely girl has been blossoming in foster care and gaining confidence every day. She is learning basic obedience commands, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, is crate trained, and has been doing great with her house training. She loves exploring the outdoors and especially enjoys walks in the woods, but she has also become much more comfortable in busier environments and has enjoyed outings where she’s met lots of new people and dogs.Lohara has done well meeting children of all ages and has shown herself to be a sweet, social girl. She absolutely loves water, and recently she’s discovered that snuggling is one of her favorite activities too! While she may have started out shy, she has formed strong bonds with everyone in her foster family and loves curling up for a lap nap whenever the opportunity arises.Lohara is looking for a loving home where she can continue building her confidence and discovering all the joys life has to offer.
