Story
Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesHarley Memphis is a sweet, loyal, sensitive soul who is looking for a patient and loving family to live out his golden years. He recently underwent two major surgeries and is looking for a home that will continue to meet his unique medical needs. Although he has some physical limitations, he does not let this bring him down and is enjoying his life to the fullest!A few of Harley’s favorite things include snuggling with his humans, going for short walks, zoomies in small spaces, and spray cheese! Due to his mobility issues, Harley would do best in a home with minimal stairs and that has carpeting as he sometimes slips on hardwood floors. He would love a home with lots of soft dog beds, as he is unable to jump onto furniture. He does well with new dogs after proper introductions, but should have monitored interactions with other dogs, especially when approached from behind, until he feels more confident. Harley is currently thriving in his foster home and does best with structure and boundaries. He has met cats and would do best in a cat-free home as he is a bit too interested in his feline friends. Harley has met children and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy teens (16+) who will respect his personal space and not make sudden, loud noises or movements. Harley is fully house and crate trained. Harley enjoys having his crate door open so he can come and go as he pleases. He rotates through his crate and his favorite dog beds when his foster is at work. Harley enjoys going for short walks around the neighborhood and walks well on leash. Harley is looking for a quiet family who will provide him with structure, love, and support so he can live a life of leisure!Note: Harley is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program for prescription medication. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.December 12, 2025, 12:26 am

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Unknown, likely yesCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesSerena is a soulful and gentle girl who is here to win your heart. This medium-energy pup will do epic backyard zoomies followed by an immediate couch collapse. Serena is looking for a patient, calm home where she can continue to build her confidence and truly shine.Serena is a classic slow-to-warm gal when meeting new people. She prefers to observe and approach at her own pace, then when she feels safe she transforms into a total love bug. Serena hopes her new family will advocate for her as she continues to learn that most new people aren’t scary, and some of them even have treats! She hasn’t met any kids yet, but is so gentle and affectionate that she would likely do well with dog-savvy kids who could respect her slow approach style. Serena looooves other dogs and invites them to play with gentle bumps and face kisses, but if they don’t want to she will respect their boundaries and entertain herself. She’s even great with cats and wants nothing more than to be friends with them, though she will leave them alone if they don’t want the same. Serena’s silly side comes out when she gets comfortable, and her favorite things are to play with her doggy friends or crawl onto the lap of someone she trusts for cuddles.Serena is fully house- and crate-trained, and settles in immediately to be crated during the day and overnight. She has been working hard on her leash skills and hopes her new family will continue to encourage her as she bravely faces new sights and sounds on walks. Serena is eager to please and has been making lots of progress with positive reinforcement.Serena is a sweet, shy girl who wants to find a home where she can blossom and let her goofy side shine. Could you be the one who will bring out her zoomies? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line.
