Story
Poppy - Queen of the Puppy Dog Eyes's Story Meet Poppy, a 2-month-old, 6-lb little cuddle bug with the sweetest face and the cutest chunky puppy body. Poppy was found dumped on the side of the road in a box with her siblings, abandoned far too young and left completely defenseless. Thankfully, rescue stepped in just in time — and now this little girl is safe, loved, and thriving. Poppy is tubby, playful, and incredibly affectionate. She loves being held, snuggling into your lap, and waddling around looking for attention. She has such a soft, loving personality and the kind of puppy sweetness that makes everyone instantly fall in love with her. Now Poppy is ready for a forever home where she’ll never be abandoned again — just spoiled with cozy beds, belly rubs, and all the love she deserves. *Poppy is in Puerto Rico and will be send up to the states for her forever home or when a foster opens up. This transport is included in her $575 adoption fee*

Story
Meet Miss Norma! This cutie was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas where her time was almost up. Norma was dumped after being adopted from the City shelter in June. We knew we had to step in and save her. Norma is a 1 year young, lab mix that weights about 50lbs. She does well in her crate over night. Does good on and gets along well with other dogs. Norma is getting used to living in a home and appears to be house broken. To adopt Norma, apply online on our website! www.aplaceforace.org

Story
MEET SUNNY!Sunny is a sweet, stunning boy who enjoys his stuffed animals and large cozy dog beds. He may take a second to warm up to his new person, but once he does you will have an amazing new best friend! We believe Sunny will do best in a teen / adult household as the only pet in the home, though he can do well with dogs with slow introductions and calming leash walks! Bringing Sunny home will make your life just a little bit brighter. For more information on Sunny or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

He recently underwent two major surgeries and is looking for a home that will continue to meet his unique medical needs. Although he has some physical limitations, he does not let this bring him down and is enjoying his life to the fullest!A few of Harley’s favorite things include snuggling with his humans, going for short walks, zoomies in small spaces, and spray cheese! Due to his mobility issues, Harley would do best in a home with minimal stairs and that has carpeting as he sometimes slips on hardwood floors. He would love a home with lots of soft dog beds, as he is unable to jump onto furniture. He does well with new dogs after proper introductions, but should have monitored interactions with other dogs, especially when approached from behind, until he feels more confident. Harley is currently thriving in his foster home and does best with structure and boundaries. He has met cats and would do best in a cat-free home as he is a bit too interested in his feline friends. Harley has met children and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy teens (16+) who will respect his personal space and not make sudden, loud noises or movements. Harley is fully house and crate trained. Harley enjoys having his crate door open so he can come and go as he pleases. He rotates through his crate and his favorite dog beds when his foster is at work. Harley enjoys going for short walks around the neighborhood and walks well on leash. Harley is looking for a quiet family who will provide him with structure, love, and support so he can live a life of leisure!Note: Harley is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program for prescription medication. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. He’s a typical mid-energy puppy who enjoys romping and playing as much as a good nap. Scout will thrive in any home where he can get lots of love and give his family lots of laughs.Scout is a happy-go-lucky pup who loves to make new friends. He goes right up to new people to say hello, and he’s adored playing with the kids he’s met so far. Scout would happily play with other dogs for all of his waking hours, but he also reads cues well and gives them space if they want it. This sweet guy would be thrilled to have doggy and/or human siblings in his new home to play with. Scout hasn’t met cats yet, but he would likely do well with appropriate introductions. His hobbies include chewing on toys, sniffing around the yard or park, and gazing lovingly into your eyes.Scout has been working hard on his puppy manners. He’s crated during the day and overnight and usually settles immediately. Scout has been making great progress with his house training and with some time patience, and consistency, he’s sure to be a pro in no time.
