He recently underwent two major surgeries and is looking for a home that will continue to meet his unique medical needs. Although he has some physical limitations, he does not let this bring him down and is enjoying his life to the fullest!A few of Harley’s favorite things include snuggling with his humans, going for short walks, zoomies in small spaces, and spray cheese! Due to his mobility issues, Harley would do best in a home with minimal stairs and that has carpeting as he sometimes slips on hardwood floors. He would love a home with lots of soft dog beds, as he is unable to jump onto furniture. He does well with new dogs after proper introductions, but should have monitored interactions with other dogs, especially when approached from behind, until he feels more confident. Harley is currently thriving in his foster home and does best with structure and boundaries. He has met cats and would do best in a cat-free home as he is a bit too interested in his feline friends. Harley has met children and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy teens (16+) who will respect his personal space and not make sudden, loud noises or movements. Harley is fully house and crate trained. Harley enjoys having his crate door open so he can come and go as he pleases. He rotates through his crate and his favorite dog beds when his foster is at work. Harley enjoys going for short walks around the neighborhood and walks well on leash. Harley is looking for a quiet family who will provide him with structure, love, and support so he can live a life of leisure!*Harley is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program.*Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: UnknownGood with kids: YesCrate trained: NoHouse trained: YesMeet Billy: professional good boy, amateur personal space expert.Billy is a 6-year-old black labrador retriever mix with one simple goal - to become the center of your universe. Good luck saying no to him when he hits you with the puppy dog eye smolder. At 6, Billy has reached the perfect stage of his goofy labrador personality. He’s old enough to know that shoes probably aren’t food, but young enough to still carry them around the house whenever you leave just in case he needs to use them as leverage when you return. His ideal family has a comfortable couch, a generous snack policy, and very low expectations regarding personal space. In exchange, Billy promises unconditional love, enthusiastic companionship, and the occasional deeply concerned stare when you fail to share your sandwich. What positive attributes does Billy bring to the household? Excellent floor-cleaning services, especially near the dinner table 24/7 kitchen surveillance Advanced expertise in identifying the sound of a cheese wrapper from three rooms away A complete disregard for the phrase “you just ate” Emotional support while you use the bathroom Can turn a 5 minute walk into a 45 minute sniffing investigation Provides aggressive tail-wagging at no additional charge Will alert you immediately if a squirrel is committing crimes on the propertyBilly is completely house broken and walks great on a leash. He has been very submissive when meeting other dogs and would likely to well in a multi-dog home. He prefers not to be left behind while you are out having adventures in the world (FOMO), but he is content to chew on a bully stick and sigh heavily until you return.Billy has been informed that he is “up for adoption.” He believes this means someone is coming to pick him up and take him to dinner. Please don’t make this awkward. Adopt Billy. He already packed all his things and is waiting by the door. Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesPenny is a big, goofy girl whose favorite hobbies include lounging, napping, and perfecting the art of relaxation. By day, she's a professional couch potato. By night, she's a deluxe, oversized throw rug with a heartbeat. While her energy level is generally low-key, don't be surprised if she occasionally finds the motivation to investigate a squirrel, rabbit, or passing bird. Food is the way to Penny's heart, and she's always happy to accept treats, whether she's earned them or not. Luckily, she's smart, responsive, and takes verbal direction well.Penny gets along with other dogs but appreciates a slow introduction, as she can be a little shy and reserved when meeting new friends. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. She would do best with a laid-back canine companion who shares her love of naps, or even a cat willing to compete for the title of Household Snoozing Champion. Dog-savvy children who understand gentle interactions and respect personal space would also be a great fit. This well-mannered girl knows that bathroom business happens outside, settles comfortably in a crate for a few hours when needed, and sleeps soundly through the night. Her dream setup? A cozy bed right next to yours, where she can keep watch over her family while enjoying maximum comfort. If you're looking for a loyal companion who asks for little more than a soft bed, a few treats, and a family to love, Penny may be your perfect pooch! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Yes (13+)Crate trained: Working on itHouse trained: YesAce is an adorable pup who adores snuggling, playing tug of war, and hanging out with his humans! Anyone who meets him falls head over heels for this gentle and silly little goofball. He gets along well with many dogs, especially older and calmer ones who can match his mellow energy level, and he has a blast at daycare with his furry friends. Ace is already house-trained and is currently working on crate training - he's a total champ at overnight crating and is actively making progress with daytime crating.A perfect day for Ace starts with a nice walk (where he loves to say hello to new people with a friendly howl!) and then he spends the rest of the day chilling on the couch with his chew toys and his family. He's highly motivated by food and will do just about anything for a tasty treat, so further training should be a piece of cake. He also thrives on routine, so having a schedule will help him settle into his new environment.Ace is the ultimate companion animal - he feels much more confident and comfortable when he's around his humans so he has some separation anxiety, which is slowly improving in his foster home! Because of this, he would do best with a family that is home more often than not. Additionally, he tends to be vocal when anxious (and even when he's happy and excited - this chatty boy loves to say hello!). Ace is best suited for a single-family home.Ace is a fantastic dog who is eagerly waiting to meet his forever family!*Ace is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program.*Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Story
Meet Romi, a 3-month-old, 19-lb sweetheart who was dropped off in front of a rescuers home with his brother Bam Bam and their starving mama. This little family had been completely let down by humans, but thankfully they were left with someone who knew they deserved saving. Romi is the more athletic and adventurous brother — playful, curious, and ready to explore — but underneath all that puppy energy is a total cuddle bug. He loves affection, being close to his people, and curling up for snuggles after playtime. Romi is currently in Puerto Rico and will be transported to his forever home once adopted. Hes ready to trade his heartbreaking beginning for a lifetime of adventures, cuddles, and being someones very best boy.
