Meet Kahve, the perfect gentleman! This affectionate and curious boy is looking for his forever home and is sure to bring a smile to your face. Kahve is a smart and playful puppy who loves to explore and learn about the world around him. He's doing incredibly well in his foster home, socializing with various people, dogs, and children. Kahve has a calm and friendly presence, always up for a game with his toys or some quality cuddle time. He's house and crate-trained, making him the ideal addition to any family. Kahve is a beautful color, 5 months old, is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly prevention. He would do best with children over 8 years old and would love a canine friend in the home. He has been around different sizes of dogs and is currently being fostered in a home with a senior cat and has been very respectful. Kahve is searching for a family who will continue to show him the love and care he deserves and help him grow into the best boy he can be. Could that be you? To meet Kahve, please fill out our adoption application for preapproval and we will set up a meet and greet! https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html

Story
This sweet 6-year-old Lab/Basset mix weighs about 50 pounds and has a heart just as big. Through no fault of his own, Balor lost his home due to a divorce and is now looking for a new family to call his own. Balor grew up in a loving home with dogs and kids. He’s passed the puppy stage and enjoys the comforts of home—relaxing, spending time with his people, and being a loyal companion. This good boy didn’t do anything wrong; sometimes life just changes. He’s hoping for a fresh start with a family who will give him the stability and love he deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, well-rounded dog who’s ready to fit right into your life, Balor could be your perfect match. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. January 17, 2026, 9:17 am

Story
Bruno is a 3 1/2 year old labrador mix. We rescued him when he was 9 months old. He is house trained and follows commands. He gets along with other dogs and people. Regarding people, he thinks that everyone who comes in the door is there for him and wants to be petted! We've never had a problem with him with either adults or children and considering our family gatherings are large, I would say he is well behaved. He does not steal food, counter surf or clean the dishwasher. He has two sensitive areas; his paws and back end. Bruno recently had his ball between his paws and my 3 year old granddaughter went to grab it and he snarled, but did not bite her. He's never done that before, but to be fair, it was his ball and it was between his feet, but a 3 year old doesn't know better. So Bruno would be best placed in a home with older children who know to leave his ball alone. Rehoming Bruno is not an easy decision, and we are hopeful that he finds a loving forever home.

***Coco is in a foster home, so she is not at the kennel. If you are interested in her, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Coco has the best smile and is the nicest chocolatey muffin! She is estimated to be about 8 years old and weighs 71 pounds. Meet Coco, a loving senior girl who will warm your heart and snuggle her way into your life. With a gentle soul and a loving nature, Coco is so very special. She adores belly rubs, after leaning into you, she will slip down to her back for those glorious scratches, it is really funny! Her affectionate and easy-going nature makes her a joy to be around. Coco gets along wonderfully with other dogs, so she would make a fantastic addition to a family with an existing furry member, or she could be your sole companion, offering unconditional love and a comforting presence. She likes to play fetch with toys and tennis balls, has a perfect sit and is very engaged with you, what a good girl. Senior dogs like Coco have so much love to give and ask for very little in return. If you're seeking a calm (but wiggly) and loving friend to add to your family, come and meet Coco today and let her work her heartwarming magic on you! She deserves a soft place to lay her head each night. She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old. If you are interested in Coco and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Marvin is a gentle, affectionate dog who forms deep bonds with his people and thrives in calm, predictable environments. He is house-trained, loyal, and happiest when he feels safe and close to someone he trusts. Marvin is the sweetest boy, and unlike other dogs, he doesn’t care too much for walks. He’d rather just lay in his bed and enjoy the ambient noise of the TV. Marvin has some well-managed special needs. He takes Prozac for anxiety and has limited vision, so quieter homes with minimal sudden noise are ideal. When anxious, he can display compulsive behaviors such as excessive licking, which are managed with medication, monitoring, and early intervention. He can be sensitive to loud or sudden noises and has reacted defensively in high-stress situations with other dogs, such as aggressive barking. However, when other dogs are calm and friendly toward him, Marvin is sweet and gentle in return. He would do best as the only dog or with carefully managed, low-pressure introductions.
