Story
Bruno is a 3 1/2 year old labrador mix. We rescued him when he was 9 months old. He is house trained and follows commands. He gets along with other dogs and people. Regarding people, he thinks that everyone who comes in the door is there for him and wants to be petted! We've never had a problem with him with either adults or children and considering our family gatherings are large, I would say he is well behaved. He does not steal food, counter surf or clean the dishwasher. He has two sensitive areas; his paws and back end. Bruno recently had his ball between his paws and my 3 year old granddaughter went to grab it and he snarled, but did not bite her. He's never done that before, but to be fair, it was his ball and it was between his feet, but a 3 year old doesn't know better. So Bruno would be best placed in a home with older children who know to leave his ball alone. Rehoming Bruno is not an easy decision, and we are hopeful that he finds a loving forever home.

***Coco is in a foster home, so she is not at the kennel. If you are interested in her, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Coco has the best smile and is the nicest chocolatey muffin! She is estimated to be about 8 years old and weighs 71 pounds. Meet Coco, a loving senior girl who will warm your heart and snuggle her way into your life. With a gentle soul and a loving nature, Coco is so very special. She adores belly rubs, after leaning into you, she will slip down to her back for those glorious scratches, it is really funny! Her affectionate and easy-going nature makes her a joy to be around. Coco gets along wonderfully with other dogs, so she would make a fantastic addition to a family with an existing furry member, or she could be your sole companion, offering unconditional love and a comforting presence. She likes to play fetch with toys and tennis balls, has a perfect sit and is very engaged with you, what a good girl. Senior dogs like Coco have so much love to give and ask for very little in return. If you're seeking a calm (but wiggly) and loving friend to add to your family, come and meet Coco today and let her work her heartwarming magic on you! She deserves a soft place to lay her head each night. She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old. If you are interested in Coco and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
What a cute chocolatey muffin! Rocky is estimated to be about 9 months old and weighs 39 pounds right now. Meet Rocky, a happy-go-lucky pup with a heart as big as his playful personality! He is always up for a game of fetch and will dutifully bring the ball back to you (he's a good boy like that). Did someone say snow, woohoo, he loves nothing more and it is really fun to watch him play in it! He's also super smart and eager to please, making him very trainable. He's learning new tricks like "drop it" and is working on his manners, like not jumping up for attention. Rocky craves closeness and has a soft personality, making him the perfect snuggle buddy after a long day of adventures. He's looking for a family who can give him direction, reassurance, and most importantly, love. Could you be the one to offer this affectionate pup his forever home? He will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Rocky would love to meet them. He has an “all in” very excited approach with a soft body. If you are interested in Rocky and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. Juneau is a well-mannered lady who knows how to sit perfectly for treats and will always take them gently from your hand. She's the perfect medium size, not too big and not too small, and she has the most adorable tippy-tappy paws when she walks, it is too cute! She is a dog who truly wants to please her people and will be your best friend. Story
Blue is a sweet senior Lab who deserves a calm and patient home. He has some challenges: he experiences anxiety, especially when there are loud noises like a crying baby, he’s incontinent when he gets nervous, and he can be an escape artist. For these reasons, he needs a quiet, adult-only household, preferably with someone experienced with dogs who understands anxiety and senior care. Despite his special needs, he is incredibly loyal and loves affection. He’s happiest when he’scalm and feels safe, and he’ll be a loving companion to the right person who can give him the attention and care he deserves.
