Story
Jackson Elliott~born~February 2022Male, Chocolate lab mixUTD and neuteredHi, I'm Jackson Elliott! I'm a charming, soft, young lab mix that wiggles my butt when I see you! I didn't start in the most loving home and I've been through a lot, but you would never know it, as I absolutely love to be around people. I get very excited by other animals; so because of my size, and since I am too highly stimulated by other dogs and kids, I think an easy going, low traffic home would be better and best for me. I'm young, and labs stay young for a long time, so I'm looking for a BFF that will teach me patience and a lot of new tricks, as I still have lots of puppy energy!I would be best suited in a home with a backyard that allows me to run about, and an owner who is able to give me their full attention and love. I am extremely loving. I have completed a 6 week obedience course, but would love to learn more with you! I hope to meet and create a bond with my forever family soon! :)_____The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please click on the links below for our:Online Adoption Application: https://paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-form/Details and info on Website: https://paawarren.org/

Story
Milo~born~August 2021Due to his owner's failing health. Milo needs to find a new home. His owner has provided this information about him. Milo is currently undergoing a two week training with Off Leash Training, a board and train program for behavioral rehabilitation, so that he can be his best self.Personality of Milo: He is such a sweet loving boy. He loves cuddles and playing fetch with tennis balls/toys. He loves car rides and sticking his head out the window. We call car rides "buh-byes" and he gets super excited. He loves going on adventures to new locations like parks or walking trails. He does like to "watch" TV but barks and jumps at it. He is a bit clingy and prefers to be around his person. He loves jumping for hugs and pets (but we are working on greeting manners). He loves fruits and veggies. Strawberries are his favorite! He loves playing in the water in summer, we have some sprinklers that I would be more than happy to pass along, along with all his toys, bed, crate, leashes. He's got a lot of energy and a lot of love to give! I think Milo would do best with someone who is active and has time and space to provide for Milo. Milo weighs about 70 pounds.Milo is not good with other dogs/cats/children but we are in active training to work on aggression towards other dogs. Milo is house-trained and crate trained. Milo would need an experienced adopter. A fenced in yard would be preferred for Milo. His only special needs would be weekly ear cleaning and daily walks. Since Milo is in active training, he needs an experienced dog owner who can provide Milo with a loving home and continue his training so he can be his best. Could it be you? Please consider meeting him and making him your companion and BFF._____The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please use these links for our:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org

Story
Bart~born~December 2020Characteristics: snuggly, goofy, friendly, funny, loving, smart, playful, best buddy, food motivated, fast learnerMeet Bart AKA Barty! Bart is 54 pounds of love and energy. He is a huge snuggle bug and LOVES to cuddle. Bart loves all people and does very well with kids. His favorite thing in the world is going on long walks. His favorite person (besides his fosters), is the mail carrier. He thinks that she is always there to come visit him and gets so wiggly and excited each day. Bart is definitely a foodie. He is very food motivated, he enjoys veggies, fruits and of course any kind of protein. Since being fostered, Bart has learned to take food gently and to sit before receiving his treats. We believe he could be trained to do more tricks. At night, he loves to snuggle. Bart believes that he is a smaller dog and isn't aware that he doesn't fit on our laps. He is all limbs and is a bit clumsy. We find his clumsiness and derpy nature endearing! Bart is not a fan of other dogs at this time. We believe with training, he may learn to be more comfortable but he isn't there yet.Bart's Story:Bart is currently living with a foster and is so happy to have a warm home. Bart grew up in a family that did not take good care of him. He was left outside among the elements and sometimes did not have his basic needs attended to. He was found roaming the streets of Detroit multiple times after escaping his yard and finally animal control decided to bring him to a rescue in hopes that he could find a home willing to care for him. The rescue treated Bart for heartworm. So now, Bart just needs a home that will give him all of the Tender Loving Care he deserves. Bart is eager for an Angel family to love him. He has so much love to give and a long life ahead of him. Please consider giving him a chance._____The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please use these links for our:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org

Story
I helped rehome Roko in 2014 when he was found by his previous owner. They had an apartment and count not keep him so I have had him since. Since he was a rescue it was hard determining his age but he seems to be a Shepard/Lab mix and should be around 10ish years old. He is very loving and likes to cuddle and play fetch. He is looking for someone with time to go on walks and play. He is good with kids but may need some time around cats. He is very playful with other dogs. Roko deserves all the love he can get as he has been a good, loyal dog these last 9 years.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. MEET COOPER: Cooper was found as a stray in Detroit, and even had a microchip - yet it was not registered and his family did not come for him. Poor Cooper waited for over a week for his people but no one came to save him from the loud, scary shelter. Cooper was shutting down and loosing all hope until a staff member reached out to us to rescue him! Cooper is slow to trust, but once he does his bond is unconditional! He is a very conservative boy with gentleman like manners. He doesn't ask for much, other than a family to be devoted and loving. He is good being crated during hours of the day that his foster mom is not home, and he has a great understanding of house manners. He is a smart boy that just needs to gain some courage in a new environment. Cooper enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from a more outgoing sibling, along with the love a family has to offer. Due to his insecurities, it would be best for a quieter household without the activity of energetic children. A physical fenced yard is what he would need in his furever home (not a tether or invisible fence). Labradors are extremely active and Poodles are intelligent family pets, which makes this Labradoodle combination so wonderful! If you are looking for a loyal forever companion, Cooper is your boy!
