Story
Olive is an affectionate girl that loves attention. Her love language is physical touch, and she will often greet people by flopping on her back for a belly rub. Olive loves to be outside and is happy laying in the garden and keeping an eye on the yard. She loves to chase tennis balls and to cuddle with stuffy toys or her humans. Olive does really well with routine. She has good house manners and is house-trained and has never had an accident in the house! She is crate trained and will often put herself to bed when she knows it’s time. She knows basic commands and has been working on reactivity training. Olive would thrive in a home where she is the only pet. Despite her love for people, Olive does not like to be near other animals; she has been in a loving home but does not get along with the other pets in the house. It is for this heartbreaking reason that she is in need of a new home where she can be a solo pet. She is a sweet and loving girl and would make a great companion.

Story
This sweet 6-year-old Lab/Basset mix weighs about 50 pounds and has a heart just as big. Through no fault of his own, Balor lost his home due to a divorce and is now looking for a new family to call his own. Balor grew up in a loving home with dogs and kids. He’s passed the puppy stage and enjoys the comforts of home—relaxing, spending time with his people, and being a loyal companion. This good boy didn’t do anything wrong; sometimes life just changes. He’s hoping for a fresh start with a family who will give him the stability and love he deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, well-rounded dog who’s ready to fit right into your life, Balor could be your perfect match. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. January 17, 2026, 9:17 am

Story
Bruno is a 3 1/2 year old labrador mix. We rescued him when he was 9 months old. He is house trained and follows commands. He gets along with other dogs and people. Regarding people, he thinks that everyone who comes in the door is there for him and wants to be petted! We've never had a problem with him with either adults or children and considering our family gatherings are large, I would say he is well behaved. He does not steal food, counter surf or clean the dishwasher. He has two sensitive areas; his paws and back end. Bruno recently had his ball between his paws and my 3 year old granddaughter went to grab it and he snarled, but did not bite her. He's never done that before, but to be fair, it was his ball and it was between his feet, but a 3 year old doesn't know better. So Bruno would be best placed in a home with older children who know to leave his ball alone. Rehoming Bruno is not an easy decision, and we are hopeful that he finds a loving forever home.

Story
Meet Rudy! Rudy is a 5-month-old puppy (estimated DOB: 8/18/25) weighing around 40 lbs, with plenty of growing left to do! While his exact breed mix is unknown, our best guess is a combination of Lab, Rhodesian Ridgeback, and Black Mouth Cur - though a DNA test would be needed to know for sure. What is certain is that Rudy is a big, lovable puppy with an active spirit and a whole lot of potential. Rudy came from a difficult situation and was initially very guarded, but with patience and positive reinforcement, he has learned that people are kind and safe. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, and he continues to blossom into a sweet, social and affectionate boy who enjoys spending time with his people. As a typical puppy, Rudy is still working on his manners. He can get jumpy when he’s excited and will need continued training to help him polish his leash skills and puppy behaviors. He is crate trained, treat and food motivated, and has a solid start on house manners, though consistency and routine will help him continue to improve. Rudy loves playing with toys and would thrive in an active home that can meet his physical and mental needs. A physical fenced yard is necessary so he has a safe space to run, play, and burn off his puppy energy. He would do best with older, dog-savvy children and other dogs that are tolerant of a big, playful puppy. He has not shown any concerning interest in cats. Rudy is a sweet, resilient boy looking for an active, committed family ready to continue building his confidence and guide him through puppyhood. If you’re searching for a loyal companion to grow up with and love furever, Rudy may be the perfect match. Rudy is:Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and RabiesDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedNeuteredADOPTION FEE: $300 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2629227##
