I have an older dog also. Which I am keeping. Ka'ta'yo, is 3 yrs old, Lab mix he is very smart. He knows how to fetch, etc... he does listen well for the most part. I am 63 and not able to walk and play like I used to. He loves the neighbor kids that come over to play with him, and walks him. He does jump a bit, but other than that he is very good. He is still kinda a pup who needs more attention that I can give at this point in my life.

Story
Hi everybody We have to rehome our 4 yo husky lab mix named Pluto. He is an amazing dog in the right environment. His personality is so goofy and entertaining. Such an adventurous, loving dog. All he wants to do is be outside and play. Very food motivated! He loves the water. He is potty trained. Not the best recall. He walks good with a mouth lead. On a regular lead, will pull but eventually give up. Other dogs are tricky. He would do best being the only dog in the home. He cannot be around young children. The reason we are forced to find him a new home is because he can get aggressive towards kids. We have a baby and can not take the chance. He needs people that have dog experience and will respect his space. It truly breaks our hearts to even make this. He really is a great dog and deserves a home that is right for him. We are in the metro Detroit area but willing to take him anywhere.

Story
Meet Lego Brick! This handsome fella is looking for a home where he would fit right in! Lego Brick is a major love bug, but he is not always aware of how large he is! He would benefit from a home where he can be trained and learn some basic manners. He loves to play, cuddle, and give hugs once he is comfortable with you! Lego Brick can be nervous when meeting new people and new dogs, so he will need slow introductions with both, and will need to meet any potential dog siblings before going home. If you are looking to expand your family, this pooch might be the perfect addition!Lego Brick is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Please email adoptions@hshv.org or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!

Story
Davina came to us from a rural shelter had to 'make space' - concerned that her eye would hinder adoption interest, volunteers reached out to rescue. Davina appears to have a birth defect or puppy trauma, impacting the eyeball appearance and vision of her right eye. She requires no special care and has clearly lived with this limited vision for a long time. Davina is spayed, up to date on vaccines, testing negative for heartworms and on prevention. She has a dark short coat with a long tail and floppy ears. She came to the shelter with a pair of Dobermans so she was assumed to be a litter mate or part Doberman (rescue has not completed DNA). Davina is shy and quiet. She seeks out people for comfort, nudging them to pet her and hold her. In her foster home, she is with small dogs-large dogs and good with both females and males. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- Email with Questions or for Adoption Application - Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org Adoption Application LINK: https://forms.gle/33ciYyXPTL18FfnV6

Story
Sammy is a man of few words - we don't know where he came from or how old he really is... He has scars on his face and body, refuses to answer questions about the past. We just know, he's a cool dude. He enjoys sunsets and watching horses run in the neighbors yard. He enjoys being out with other chill dogs and roaming between meals. He has gained weight since being at this foster home (where he found safety) - 70 lbs at his neuter up to 98 at his last vet visit. Sammy was heartworm positive, treated and on prevention. He would enjoy a home with experience in rescues or shelter dogs, help him settle - learn routine, then relax. He has not shown strong interests in things or favorites - but likely that will change when he is given attention and in a home. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Adoption Fee reflects the need for an XL crate at travel. Email with Questions or for Adoption Application - Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org Adoption Application LINK: https://forms.gle/33ciYyXPTL18FfnV6 --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- Sammy was so shy during a behavioral assessment (standing next to his foster) another rescue passed on him and said - not enough personality to get himself adopted. His caregiver was upset! They took Sammy in after his owners died and had kept him safe in their barn. He had dog friends, he played with Maggie and observes the farm and other animals without being a problem. We agreed to take on his care, finish his medical needs and work on adoption. Even the older, shy, timid or less expressive dogs can be amazing family pets. Thank you for reading his bio and considering this dude. Volunteers will keep working on photos and fieldtrips to get videos!

Story
Introducing Lenny! The next love of your life! ❤️🐾Lenny came into rescue from a crowded shelter where he was shutting down and losing his spark. But when you put a dog in a loving home, it often comes back quickly. That’s the case for Lenny! Here’s what we know:🐾 neutered, microchipped, utd on all vaccinations 🐾 50lbs, Black lab mix, about a year old. But he still looks like a puppy. Imagine, all the cuteness of a puppy but skipping the chewing everything part. Which his foster reports that he likes stuffies and squeakies but hasn’t destroyed or chewed them yet. 🐾 Lenny is timid but playful. It didn’t take him long to submit to his older, bossier, dog foster sisters. 🐾. Housebroken and crate trained, however he cried when foster mom left and tried to claw out of kennel. Fosters will work with him to know it’s his safe place. 🐾 such a lover! 🐾 loves to play in the snow! 🐾 rides in the car like a champ 🐾 is being introduced to resident cat and is curious but is easily redirected so we think he could live with cats with the right intro. 🐾 has not been around kids but we think he’d do fine, like we said, timid, but playful, no signs of aggression at all. Lenny would love to be in his furever home by Christmas!
