Story
Pumpkin is a very sweet puppy, about 6 months old, that I have taken in from a friend due to issues with her apartment complex. She is full of love and enjoys cuddling and being by people. Very good with other dogs, she is gentle with smaller ones. She is good about waiting until we go outside on walks to go to the bathroom. She can be anxious at times, I’m sure since she’s so young, but took a couple days to adjust to being with me. When she learned she could trust me, she became much more joyful and animated, going from being too scared to walk into my apartment to being able to walk next to me and listen off leash. Looking for an owner who can give her the time and attention she deserves, as I am a nurse and my shifts are quite long. Plus my apartment complex doesn’t allow dogs over 50 lbs, but I am okay fostering her until she finds a new home. She is the sweetest companion with the biggest heart 🩷 Shots scheduled May 1, no appt to be spayed yet.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN FOSTERING THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE A FOSTER APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM/HELP/FOSTER. PUPPY FOSTERS NEEDED - This is NOT an application for adoption! Puppies are cute and fun, but can also be loud, stinky and they get into everything! We are looking for foster homes in the northern Oakland County area (rescue is based out of Oakland Twp, just north of Rochester) that will foster puppies while we find them the best furever homes! Puppy fostering is very short lived as we trypically have a large amount of applications for our puppies. Foster parents will be required to take their foster pups to necessary vet appointments at one of our partner veterinary office (Clinton Twp, Sterling Heights and Rochester) for any necessary appointments or spay/neuter surgery. Foster parents will be responsible for keeping puppies safe from injesting foreign objects, jumping off of tall surfaces and providing them with a clean and healthy environment to prevent the spread of bacteria or parasites. There is an immediate need for puppy fosters! Puppies should be fostered in pairs to help with continued socialization. These particular puppies are  Furever Tails Animal Rescue covers all the costs for the care of the animals in foster homes. We provide food, supplies and the medical costs required to ensure we are adopting out healthy and happy pets! Fosters are not required to continue fostering for any specified amount of time, and if foster parents fall in love with their foster pet then they have the first option to adopt!  Furever Tails Animal Rescue is based out of northeast Oakland County. Our vet offices are located in Clinton Twp, Sterling Heights and Rochester. It would be ideal if the foster home was within range of our approved vet offices in case of medical emergencies or basic preventative care. Fostering is such a rewarding experience! Many of the lives we save are those in great risk of being euthanized for no fault of their own. Saving a life can be as easy as opening your home for a temporary period of time while we process applications for a lifelong furever home! Puppies are:Provided with age appropriate vaccinationsDewormedMicrochippedNeutered prior to adoptionADOPTION FEE: $375 FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. UNFORTUNATELY AT THIS TIME WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY ADOPTING OUT OF THE STATE OF MI. ##909966##

Story
Meet Daisy! She is an adult mixed breed gal with a a dash of snuggles and play. She has met large breed dogs and has done well, but a meet and greet is always a good idea.  Our Daisy girl can leap and climb so she will need her family to stay one step ahead of her in fenced yards.  She loves to zoom around and chase toys and can entertain herself quite well...and it is hilarious to watch her pounce on them!   If you are interested in this amazing girl, fill out an application and someone will be in touch.  We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   May 23, 2024, 9:58 am

Story
Penny in her rainbow harness, too cute! She is estimated to be about 6 months old and weighs 31 pounds right now. Penny is a fun-spirited, outgoing and playful baby girl who is full of curiosity. This sweet muffin came to us with an embedded collar injury which we have been treating, she is being such a good patient. As you can see from some of her pictures, she is doing wonderfully with her harness and loves going on adventures, so her injury is not stopping her at all. Penny is very attentive, loves to lean in to be close and so wants to please you. She also releases her toys and rawhides with a soft mouth, so nice. A fun, active home with room to run would be her dream and any children need to be at least 8 years old. Penny is a very sweet girl who is just waiting to find her forever home. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Penny would love to meet them. We think she would make a great second dog. She has an “all in” excited approach with other dogs with lots of cute playbows and has nice balanced play. If you are interested in Penny and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Canvas is so adorable with all her speckles! She is estimated to be about 6 months old and weighs 44 pounds. Canvas is such a goofy, nice and playful girl! She is super connecting too and wants to be in your lap, she has no idea she is kind of a bigger puppy! Canvas likes to stay right with you too, looking for direction and wanting to please you, such a sweetie. She also has a gentle release with her toys. Canvas does have some mild food bowl guarding though, she seems to lack experience with people around her bowl. We are working on this with her and she caught on immediately to “wait at bowl” with good eye contact. She is so young, smart and seems highly trainable. Her experienced adopter should have the time upfront to implement “wait at bowl” and socialization with people and food. She will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old. Canvas can’t wait to find her forever family to grow up with and love. If you are interested in Canvas and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying.
