Story
My current foster writes:Casper is a sweet and silly boy who's looking for his forever home. He had one little accident on his first night with us but has been perfect ever since! He's a fast learner and has already made incredible progress in his training.Casper loves exploring the world around him. He notices birds, squirrels, and even bees on our walks, but he doesn't react beyond a curious glance. He's working on his excitement when meeting other dogs. While he does pull and jump when dogs are close, he's improving every day! With some distance, he stays calm, but he can get a bit too excited when they're close. We haven't introduced him to other dogs up close yet.Casper is mastering leash manners at lightning speed. He usually walks with a loose leash, especially when his leash is clipped to the front of his harness. If he ever gets excited and pulls, a quick pause helps him refocus and continue calmly.Casper is crate trained and knows the command "go to bed." He happily goes into his crate when we leave the house and to sleep at night. He even naps in his crate during the day. Casper is fine alone overnight and has been very well-behaved.When it comes to people, Casper is a total sweetheart. He doesn't react to people on walks and is friendly and loose if someone speaks to us. He's met a friend at home and was all about getting pets and attention.Casper would do best in a home where he can have three potty breaks a day. He loves both napping and playing, so a home with adults and older children would be ideal, as he can get a little rough when excited.Casper absolutely loves his people. Head pets are his favorite thing in the world! He'll put his head in your lap for some love and calmly follow you around the house, napping in whichever room you're in. He's also quite the goofball and often gets his lip stuck on his teeth!Casper has shown no signs of resource guarding in our home and shares his treats, toys, and meals without any issues. He's a loving, sweet, and silly boy who's ready to bring joy to his new family. If you're looking for a loyal companion, Casper is your guy!The previous foster Writes:Casper is the sweetest boy with the softest head and neck, which he prefers to keep nuzzled in your lap whenever possible. He is a super curious snuggle bug who loves long walks and short sprints, playing in the park, getting zoomies up the front stairs, and dog puzzles. He rarely barks.Casper knows simple commands like "sit," "come," and "go to your bed." He is always thrilled to meet new humans and dogs. He can pull a bit on the leash, especially when he is excited to see another pup, but responds well to redirection and treats. Casper is great with kids and currently lives with guinea pigs. He would do best in a house without tiny children, as he can be a little mouthy. If you're looking for a dog with tons of love to give, Casper's your guy!
