Story
Archie, a Lab/English Mastiff mix, is looking for his forever home. Archie was surrendered to the shelter after his owner passed away. Sadly for Archie, he now has trust issues and can be slow to warm up to new people, but once he has your trust, he is a friendly and playful companion. Archie loves playing & treats. Because of his size & strength, Archie would do better in a home without young children. Archie requires a patient owner as he will need sufficient time to decompress in his new home. Obedience training is recommended to help establish a strong bond with his new owner. A physical fenced yard is also recommended for running and playing as well as preventing him from getting out. He has a birth date of December 23, 2020, has been vet checked, neutered, is up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention. As an adoption special, we ask an adoption fee of $125 cash which includes a dog license. Pets are seen by appointment. We ask people to complete an interest form which is online at https://pawshumane.weebly.com/interest-form.html As it's a Google doc., if you have ipad or iphone, please email us for a fillable form at pawshumanesocietyinc@gmail.com

Story
Liesl is from Costa Rica. We rescued her there from a shelter who took in dogs who were in need of a home. She is a sweet girl and loves people. She loves to go for rides or go to the dog park or take a walk. She has had some basic training. She is crate-trained, and sleeps there through the night and whenever we go out. She is strong and loves to play tug-o-war with the rope. Having been a rescue dog, she is anxious when it rains. But she always finds a safe place to hide. She is also very protective of her food, so we have a very specific feeding routine in place (it's not complicated). She also is anxious around young children; she needs a home with more grown-ups than little ones. She loves to hang out with the family while we watch tv or keep us company in the office. Liesl insists on bringing all her stuff with her to her new home: her crate, her toys, her food and bowl, her water dispenser, and her leash and collar, of course.

Freckles is a good companion. Freckles belongs to my 92 year old father who recently moved from the country with a large yard to my house with a tiny yard. She loves people and loves to be involved with family activities. She loves to play and run. She needs exercise and a good place to run. With our current living situation she is not getting the exercise she needs and/or deserve.

Story
Meet The Bear pups! If you have seen the show, The Bear, Carmy is the most like her namesake. She is wild and unpredictable. She is definitely the most chompy and doesn't care in the slightest. She has the shortest hair and is the tiniest lady. The Bear pups are typical pups that go wild for food. They play well, but sometimes are rough with each other and desperately want to play with the cat in the home. They enjoy playing with their toys and the big dogs in the home as well. In general The Bear puppies are getting better at being in the kennel but require further crate training. They love to be with people and are snuggle bugs! Like typical puppies they are working on potty training and they are getting better about not going in the kennel. The Bear puppies are not picky with what they chew (drywall, carpet, cords, furniture all included) and need proper training and supervision. All puppies will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. Adoption fee is $360. Please go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt to fill out an application. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Are you an Orville, looking for your Wilbur!? Look no further, my friend. Meet Mr. Wilbur- whom we believe to be around 8 years old and a Lab Retriever.Wilbur is a laid back sort of guy. Nothing seems to bother him, not even all the cats in his current foster home.Wilbur loves to take walks and get baths- but not as much as he loves food-this guy will keep a close eye on you as you eat and gladly clean up any crumbs! We would definitely recommend a slow feeder for this hungry boy!Wilbur is a great companion and will make sure to protect you against strangers! Wilbur is not afraid to use his voice. He will absolutely make his new owner feel very protected and safe. If you are ready to take flight and find your next best friend, then come meet Wilbur! You may apply to adopt Wilbur at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Story
🐾✨ Meet Peace Lilly, a truly one-of-a-kind girl with a past she's left behind! 🌸💕Peace Lilly's previous days were spent as nothing more than a babymaker, but now she's ready for a fresh start! 🐾 We estimate her to be around 2 years old, weighing in at 50 lbs with a medium-sized body. Standing at knee-high, she sports a curly tail and ears that are a bit too short for her larger head! 🐶🌀With mesmerizing gold eyes that seem to see into your soul, Peace Lilly's breed mixes are a mystery, but we suspect she might have some labrador, schipperke, or even sharpei in her lineage. 🤔✨ Sometimes, she resembles a graceful panther with her dark face and captivating gaze! 🖤🐾Peace Lilly is a sweetheart who craves attention and never fails to wag her curled tail like a fan when she sees you! 🐾💖 She's eager to find a loving family and enjoy the luxuries of life inside a warm home. 🏡✨ Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to welcome Peace Lilly into your heart and home! 🐶💫 #AdoptDontShop #UniqueDog #PeacefulCompanion 🌟🏠Peace Lilly's adoption fee is $225, she has received age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, flea & tick treated, tested negative for heartworm & lyme disease, she will be microchipped and scheduled for spay upon adoption. You can apply online for them at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21 OR stop in to the shelter 12- 5 pm Tuesday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.
