Hi! I`m Piper, a young, sweet, and cuddly girl. I love making friends and am very loyal. Life here at the Shelter is good after living as an unclaimed stray, but I dream of a forever home where I can share all my love. I have my moments of energy and need a little more training but I am well on my way. The staff are sure that Penny is my Mom and we have stayed together even while homeless as we are unclaimed strays. We`ve been through so much together! We`re a package deal – double the fun and double the love! We promise to fill your home with joy and companionship. Adopting us means endless cuddles and faithful friendship. We can`t wait to meet you and start our new chapter together!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Yes, I love everyone!CATS: Cats are interesting. With a slow introduction, it might be okay. OTHER DOGS: I get along well with other dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Experience with large dog breeds is recommended but not required.FENCED-IN YARD: A fenced in area would benefit me to roam around. I enjoy lounging outside on nice days. AGE: 3 Years SEX: Female BREED: Lab Mix ENERGY LEVEL: Medium DOG FRIENDLY?: Yep! CAT FRIENDLY?: Likely! KID FRIENDLY?: Yep! (Dog-savvy kids) FOSTER IG: @bureks.foster.friends Meet Miya! Her love language is snuggling close, and nothing makes her happier than someone who will scratch her head and give her belly rubs. She enjoys leisurely walks filled with good sniffs, playing catch, and polishing off a hearty bowl of kibble. Miya is a gentle, easygoing girl who is pretty low maintenance. She’s adjusting wonderfully to city living; she handles a busy neighbourhood with no trouble and is only a bit more cautious once the sun goes down. She can be a bit of a puller on leash, so some extra training will help her shine. She currently lives with another dog, and the two adore spending time together, whether they’re playing or cuddled up side by side. True to her lab roots, she loves her toys and gathers them proudly into her own little stash. She’s also mastered crate training, sleeping soundly through the night and greeting her people each morning with pure joy. Smart and eager to please, she learns quickly and already sits patiently while her foster family sets down her meals. Miya has met a handful of new people and tends to be shy at first, needing a bit of time to warm up. She’s comfortable with a few visitors coming over but can be nervous around larger groups, preferring to observe and approach at her own pace. She previously lived with children and adored them, and she’d do well with dog-savvy kids. While she hasn’t formally met any cats, she’s been calm and curious when passing them on walks and would likely adjust well to sharing her home with one. If you’re searching for a sweet, cuddly, and laid-back companion to join you in your everyday adventures, Miya may be the perfect match! ⭐️ AVAILABLE for ADOPTION Sanders | Lab Mix | 6 mos | 25 lbs | Neutered | Microchipped | Cratetrained | Dogs - Yes | Kids - Yes | Cats - Yes | Housetrained - Yes with the occasional accident Sanders is a super sweet, well-behaved little lab mix who’s looking for his forever family. He’s cute, gentle, and has the funniest personality. 💛 About Sanders He’s mostly house trained he does his business outside most of the time, doesn’t chew furniture, and stays off the couch. Like any young pup, he still has the odd accident, so he’ll need a patient routine as he settles in. He’s crate trained, sleeps through the night, and happily goes into his crate when his family heads out. 🐾 Personality Sanders can be a little shy with new people, but if you’re calm and gentle, he warms up quickly. Once he trusts you, he becomes your little shadow. He absolutely loves other dogs and wants to be everyone’s best friend. He has a great mix of playful energy and sweet cuddle time. 😂 Cute Habits • He gathers every toy in the house into one pile and lies on top of them. • He prefers his leash clipped to his harness instead of his collar. • His cuddles are rare but extra special he’ll crawl into your lap when he feels safe. 🐶 Daily Routine Sanders sleeps in his crate, wakes up for a morning walk, plays with his dog brother, relaxes with toys, and enjoys a couple of walks and play sessions throughout the day. He settles into his crate at night around 9pm. 💕 What He Needs Sanders is still learning about the world and sometimes freezes when he sees new people on walks. He’ll need a patient adopter who will help him build confidence, keep up his potty routine, and continue his training. A dog friend would be a big bonus but not a required. Whoever adopts Sanders will be very lucky he’s a loving, gentle pup with so much potential.

⭐️ AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Vampire | Male | 1 Year | 24 lbs | Neutered | Vaccinated | Microchipped | Good with Dogs & Kids | Housetrained | Mixed Breed Meet Vampire the sweetest, funniest little guy with a heart full of love and a personality that’ll make you smile every single day. 🐾💛 This charming boy is equal parts cuddle bug and goofball. Most of the time, he’s happiest snuggled right up against his person on your lap, your chest, or tucked beside you on the couch. But when the zoomies hit, Vampire transforms into a bouncy little kangaroo, racing around the room with pure joy! He’s great with other dogs and loves to play, especially with his foster sister they’re always stealing each other’s toys, play-fighting, and then napping together in a pile of cuteness. He’d also do perfectly fine as the only dog in the home, as long as he has people who will give him plenty of love and attention. Vampire is gentle, patient, and great with kids, showing a kind, loving nature that melts hearts everywhere he goes. He’s doing great with leash walking and potty training, especially impressive for an apartment pup! He’s not much of a barker and is just learning about the world at his own pace. Vampire is the kind of dog who’ll bring joy, laughter, and endless affection to his forever family. He’s sweet, silly, and full of love ready to find a home where he can shine. ❤️

Story
🐾 Pete is looking for a Foster or Foster-to-Adopt Home! 🐾 Pete / Neutered Male / 3 Years / 80 pounds / Chocolate Lab / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Untested / Kids: Yes / Location: Cambridge 📍 Pete joined us on our most recent transport from Attawapiskat, and this 3 year old chocolate Lab (mix?) is every bit the classic Labrador, happy, goofy, and full of love! This handsome boy enjoys lounging in his bed, playing with toys, tug of war with his foster sister, snuggling his humans, and of course, zooming around outside. He’s playful, affectionate, and friendly with everyone he meets. He learns quickly and is eager to please. Pete is doing wonderfully with crate training and is fully housetrained, puppies are cute and all, but there’s nothing like skipping the messy stage! He loves other dogs and would be thrilled with a canine sibling, though he’d do just fine as an only dog too. Pete would be great with kids, but keep in mind he’s a big, enthusiastic boy with a powerful tail and some serious zoomies, small children may get knocked over by all that Labrador joy! Pete is still adjusting to life as a “Southern Ontario dog” and will need a family willing to continue his training and cheer him on as he learns. 💛 Pete is currently looking for a new foster home or a foster to adopt family while he completes his vetting. If you’re ready to welcome a big hearted Lab into your life, Pete is waiting for you! 💛 Please apply if interested in foster to adopt, or DM us for more info on fostering. https://forms.gle/V1H7kzUgPdcHEX539
