Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 11/20/25 Balki is a sweet young pup who had a very hard start in life. He was in a shelter where he contracted parvo virus and barely survived. But he fought hard to live and he won! He beat the dreaded parvo and is now regaining weight and doing so well! He is a great little guy who likes everyone. He loves other dogs and doesn't bother cats. We believe he may have been dumped before he ended up at the shelter because he is scared of cars. When walking on leash, if he is near a car or truck, he gets visibly scared and will try to pull away. Once he is inside the car he does fine. He just has some emotional scars that are still healing. But he's getting better all the time, thanks to a foster helping him feel safe. Balki is working on house training. He isn't quite fully trained yet but is making progress every day. We dont know his breed, but he will likely be a big boy once grown. He currently only weighs about 25 pounds and he is about 5 months old. He is a little delayed in his growth due to having parvo, but he will catch up soon. We believe he will be around 60 lbs once grown. He will be ready for his new home by mid December. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Balki is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 12/5/25 Panda and her brother, Tux, were rescued as young babies who were living under a vacant house. They were in very bad shape when rescued, but they are doing great now! They were just very malnourished, but they have more than made up for it! They've been in rescue for a few weeks now, and they are currently about 3 1/2-4 months old. Panda is the shy one. She is extremely sweet and loving, but is a little apprehensive of new people at first. Once she knows she is safe, she just wants to cuddle up with you and feel safe and loved. Panda will likely be around 60 lbs once grown, based on her current size. We don't know her breed, she is just a mix of probably many different breeds, but she has a very beautiful coat and is stunning with all her polka dots. She is ready to find a home and is dreaming of spending her first Christmas with a family of her own! We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 12/7/25 Available for adoption! Bourbon has had no adoption interest. Im surprised that people haven't wanted to adopt such a cute puppy, but I believe the right family just hasnt seen him yet. He is very playful and sweet. Hes working on house and crate training and is fully vetted. He is 10-11 weeks old and is ready to transport this week, arriving on 12/13.We don't know the breed of these babies, but what we do know is they are WONDERFUL. Bourbon appears to be a lab mix. He has the sweetest, softest puppy dog eyes and a velvety coat. He is a calm, good natured puppy who loves everyone. Bourbon will likely be lab size once grown. His foster mom said “I can tell you that he's adorable, & sweet, & playful. He's smart & very eager to please and he already knows to sit in front of me when he comes to me. Well, sometimes he gets a little excited, but he mostly has that down. He goes into his crate voluntarily. It's mostly for the cookie I give him when they get in, but he's happy with the arrangement. This picture doesn't show that he has very pretty darker markings around his neck & on his tail, but they're very pretty.”  He is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.    In New England.    To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving, fun and good natured family dog, this is the litter for you…you can’t go wrong with any puppy in this litter! They are the BEST puppies! There are eight of them…we’ll be posting the others over the next week or two. Their pregnant mom showed up at a nice family’s home and had her puppies as soon as she got there. The family cared for them until they were old enough to wean, spoiling them rotten the whole time. They have never known anything but love and kindness since the second they were born. These little love bugs have the biggest time playing with each other, their toys, kids and they LOVE playing in their wading pool full of water…guess it’s the Lab in them. By the way, that loving family kept Mom, so she will have her dream life too! All this baby girl needs now is a fun and active family to love her and include her in their everyday comings and goings. Zuri is 12 weeks old (dob 6/7/25), weighs 21 pounds, has been spayed, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Zuri is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
