Rarely do we do DNA testing but his foster mom was curious, and we were a bit surprised to find out that our boy is an honorary Akbash only. Kumo is a Lab/GSD mix and his love of water and fetching is proof enough! This young boy may have had a rough past before he found himself in a Utah shelter and it has taken a lot of time for him to learn to trust. His circle of friends is small. Kumo needs time and space to warm up to new people. His timing! Kumo has been having a great summer break, doing some traveling with his foster mom and his doggy foster siblings. He does great with all dogs, and cats! And has had a blast as a regular at the dog park. Echo was rescued from living in a hotel. His owner is not able to care for him any longer. He is adjusting beautifully to being in a home with other dogs and having plenty of space to play. Echo does seem to have some separation anxiety. I kennel him when I have to leave for 3-4 hours. More than that and he stays outside. He chews on things if I leave him in the house when I am away. He does stay in the house at night with no chewing.Echo is: - a loving, happy boy that loves to play, run and get chased by his foster sisters- learning his manners quickly- potty-trained when he was in the hotel, he uses doggy doors for the two weeks with me, new family will need to familiarize him with signaling he needs to go out- great at taking walks with our older dog, he is still learning to slow down and not pull- very affectionate and loves to be close to his human whenever possible- needs to find a home without cats, he chases them- approx. one year old
