You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We see a lot of dogs that come to us as strays from the shelter. Ambrosia is one of them and we are baffled at who would let this little girl go! This little Pyr mix is an absolute delight! Full of energy and spunk! She absolutely needs another dog in the home to play with but one who is very easy going and not too strong willed.  Ambrosia adores people, in fact if you don't pet her when she meets you she will whimper until you do! Story
Homer (homie) is the kind of dog who deserves to be appreciated for all of the little things that make him who he is. Homer isn’t looking for a perfect person or a perfect house. He’s looking for a forever home. He needs someone who understands that adopting a dog means gaining a companion, a friend, and a family member. Someone who will be patient while he gets comfortable, celebrate his personality, and give him the security of knowing that he finally belongs. 🏡 Homer’s Perfect Home Homer would thrive in a loving home where he can receive affection, attention, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to simply be himself. His new family should be prepared to give him regular walks, interactive play, affection, and the consistency that helps a dog feel safe and secure. Most of all, Homer needs someone who appreciates a gentle dog with a big heart. If you’re looking for a dog who can be your walking buddy, your playmate and companion.

Story
Meet Olive, a beautiful 5 year old, 64lb black lab mix! Olive is a sweet, loyal girl who wears her heart on her sleeve for her humans — she’s a total shadow, happiest when she’s right by your side following you from room to room. She’s also a total dog-lover and would do best in a home with another dog around her size to romp and play with. She can play a little rough, so a home with a small dog or a cat is only recommended for an adopter experienced with dog training and behavior — someone who can manage introductions and reinforce good manners along the way.Olive is generally low energy and content to relax, but she does love having a yard to zoom around in every once in a while with her doggie pals — a fun burst of energy before she’s back to lounging. She’s house trained, crate trained, and picked up on using the doggie door quickly. She’s also a dream at night — she sleeps straight through without needing a potty break. She loves a good game of fetch, is food motivated (which makes training a breeze), and is equally happy curled up in your bed or snoozing in her own dog bed. She’s currently working on her leash manners and is slowly learning to live peacefully with a cat in her foster home — she’s curious about her feline housemate, and progress is being made, but this is still a work in progress best suited to a confident, experienced handler. If a loyal, low energy with a little spunk companion is what you’re looking for — and you know how to guide a dog with just a few minor quirks — Olive might be your perfect match!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Tigger, a Basset Hound "wannabe." Tigger's story almost ended too soon. He landed on the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter alongside his Basset buddy. Thankfully, UFBH stepped in and saved them both. Once in rescue, we discovered they weren't bonded, so Tigger is ready to find his very own family.Full of life and charm, Tigger is bursting with energy. He loves romping and wrestling with the dogs in his foster home; always ready for the next round of play. He's smart, responsive to training, and eager to please; an adventurous spirit with a bright mind. Tigger would thrive in a home that can keep up with his zest for life; one where he can run, play, learn new things, and be part of the action. Above all, Tigger loves people. He'll never say no to toys, games, or a good cuddle session after a day of fun. This handsome boy is ready to bring laughter, adventure, and unconditional love to the lucky family who opens their heart to him.

Story
Hi, I'm Rigatoni! Yep, I'm completely blind... but nobody ever told me that means I can't do puppy things. Being blind means I experience the world a little differently, but it doesn't stop me from living a full, happy life. I learn quickly, use my nose and ears like a pro, and every day I become more confident exploring the world around me. I run, play, wrestle with my dog friends, carry my favorite stuffed toys around the house, and when I'm all worn out, I'll happily curl up in your lap for a nap. I'm a happy, goofy, fearless little guy with so much love to give. I absolutely adore people and always want to be wherever you are. I am like a little shadow. I love other dogs, especially bigger ones! They make the best playmates, and I never let the fact that I'm blind keep me from joining in on the fun. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a huge heart, I promise I'm worth meeting. I'm looking for my forever family and can't wait to meet them! Love, Rigatoni
