Story
Hey, I’m Gerald—57 pounds of pure sunshine in a dog suit. Born on the streets of Bahrain and raised in a crowded shelter, I somehow missed the memo that life was supposed to be hard. I greet everyone (humans, dogs, cats, you name it) with a wagging tail and a face that says, “Isn’t life just the best?” I’m four years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to bring my boundless energy and golden retriever-level enthusiasm to an active home. I love walks, thrive on attention, and basically consider myself your built-in hype man. I’m available for transport after Sept 10—so if you’re into joyful chaos and affectionate goofballs, I’m your guy. I'm still in Bahrain, but can be transported to an approved foster or adopter soon. I can't wait to meet you!

Story
🐾 Meet Diva! 📍 Currently in VA — Transport available to approved adopters/fosters Diva may have a shy name, but this gorgeous girl is the more outgoing of her sister duo! Sweet, gentle, and smart, Diva is 3 years old and weighs around 38 lbs. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and totally ready for her forever home — whether with her sister Ella or flying solo with a new doggy friend by her side. Diva loves: Being told she's a very good girl Exploring the yard and running with her pup friends Going for car rides (she’s a smooth traveler!) Long leash walks (just be ready for some excited squirrel and dog-watching!) 💛 Diva is affectionate, loyal, and incredibly resilient. Rescued in Afghanistan alongside her sister and their injured mama, Diva has come a long way and truly deserves a home where she’ll be loved and cherished. Quick Facts: House & crate trained Good with other dogs No cats or small animals Best with older children (10+ yrs) due to her shy nature Requires a fenced yard Would thrive with another dog in the home She’s currently in VA but can be transported to the perfect adopter or foster. Also, don’t forget to ask about her sister, Ella!

Story
I’m Yunai, and while life hasn’t always been kind, it’s made me strong and full of love. I lost one of my legs after being hit by a car as a puppy on the streets of Bahrain, but trust me—I can run, play, and keep up with anyone. I’m a sweet, friendly girl who loves people and never turns down a chance to give kisses or soak up attention. I get along great with other dogs, am gentle with kids, and even like cats. I’m medium-sized, have a fun but manageable energy level, and would thrive in a home with other dogs to share adventures with. I’ve got so much love to give—I just need the right family to share it with. I'm still in Bahrain, but can be transported to an approved foster or adopter soon. I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info!
