Boone is a 2.5-year-old, 65 lb Lab adopted at 10 weeks old. He is loving, playful, intelligent, & historically very friendly with people & dogs. He loves walks, play, training, & being with his people. We are re-homing due to developed behavioral challenges that aren't compatible with our plans for children. He has had 2 human bite incidents, both following identifiable stressors: one during a painful ear infection after indicating he did not want to be touched, & one when startled awake after a stressful food-training session. He can also become defensive around food/valued items & may sleep-startle. Boone is now on anxiety medication & working with a behavior professional. He needs an experienced, patient owner who understands canine body language & can provide structure, positive training, exercise, enrichment, and careful management. He can make progress in the right environment and we want to find him a safe, appropriate home where his boundaries are respected & he will thrive.

He will likely fill out a little more but he's pretty set in this perfect medium size. He is SUCH a love and he just needs someone who will give him the guidance he needs to master his skills. This boy is good with cats and kids, though with his energetic personality, older kids might be a better fit. Pinot is URGENTLY looking for a new placement. Sweet, gentle, affectionate, joyful... These words instantly come to mind when talking about Nugget. But this 1-year-old 75 lb scruffy hunk of a good boy is so much more! Like teens of all species, he's still learning how to be his best self. Most notably when it comes to giving people hugs without consent, and stealing food from places where he has no business to be. Nevertheless, these are all things that can be resolved through training. The core of who he is, the essence of his good nature personality, is what makes him a gem These traits that make him the perfect family dog and these qualities that make us fall in love with him are hard to come by! Nugget loves all friends! Dogs, humans, children, cats, he does not discriminate. However, he is a little too playful with his feline friends and likes to play chase, which is not always appreciated. So to spare the kitties from headaches and anguish, we recommend a home without cats. Nugget also does not have any concept of personal space. Which is perfect for someone looking for a body pillow to snuggle with. However, when it comes to smaller humans, some extra supervision and coaching might be needed so no one gets knocked over. We got Molly when she was a puppy. She was from LancasterPuppy and is a pure breed golden retriever. She is now 7 years old (birthday July 13, 2019). She is very mellow most of the day, needs two walks, two feeds (1/2 cup each). She has a little sensitive stomach so only feed her the brand of dog food we have tried and minimize her treats. She loves people and wants all the attention! And she is a good family dog with young kid and a cat.
