Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. I first got Apollo on October 18, 2021 at the Burlington County Animal Shelter in New Jersey. Those big brown eyes sold me at first sight. He was almost two years old at the time and still had some puppy energy. He has always been a good dog. From knowing how to behave on walks, to eating on schedule, and minding his manners inside a home. He has come an LONG way in two years. Apollo is a ball of energy! He loves to play and is very food motivated. He has become incredibly affectionate over the time I have had him and will gladly accept any and all love given to him. With enough time, he will become your shadow (if you let him). He will also play as long as you will play with him. Tug-a-war is his absolute favorite. Overall, he is the best of boys and I will miss him dearly. Come meet your next best friend! I have to rehome him due to my impending relocation overseas.

He had an owner, we found out, that had not been taking proper care of him. Ziggy is house trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and is very good with other dogs, people, and children. Ziggy is very “chill.” He is shy at first until he warms up, and then he is super sweet. He is very laid back. We think that he is perfect in every way!
