Story
Mary was abandoned and run over by her prior owners who left her to die in the streets. Fortunately, our rescue group vet found her and secured her. She had minor injuries and she is now healthy and ready for her furever family. She is an energetic dog who likes to play and could make a great hiking/running buddy. With some training, she could even turn into an amazing emotional support dog. She gets along with most dogs. She is good with people.and young adults. Toddlers are not recommended, since she still can get eaisily startled with loud sounds. She is shy sometimes. But once she warms up to you, she is fantastic and will protect you and love you!

Story
Bingo has lived with us for almost a year. When we bought it in Circassian, for some time we saw symptoms of allergies in my wife. At first we thought it was something seasonal because she had a cat before and we didn't think it was because of the dog. Over time, everything got worse and we turned to a doctor. They could not establish the cause of the allergy for a long time. Then she was prescribed medicine and got better. Now she is pregnant and the symptoms are back, the medicine is not working. We are very sorry to give Bingo away. We believe that his future family will love him as much as we do.

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick via Zelle, Pay, PayPal, or cash. Sweet & very innocent Winston & his best friend Gian Gian were surrendered to our beloved rescue together but were listed by their family on social media etc to be given away for free to separate homes. But we knew this pair were a bonded pair & loved each other ever so deeply & there was no way we would ever separate them & are dedicated to finding them an amazing forever home together only. Their family was moving to another country so Winston & Gian Gian needed help. Unfortunately both boys needed medically the works. They both tested positive for giardia which we treated, they both needed all their shots & a dental scale & polish each but now this beautiful pair are ready for their new family to cherish them both. Yet again one of the most amazing softest, kindest souls & that’s who Winston is. This boy for what humans have done to him is so loving & forgiving & just wants you to love & adore him. He is such a gentle soul even around other dogs all different sizes & he is probably not going to be a pack leader but will fit beautifully into a pack. This boy lets you hug him, kiss him & wants to shower you with love, joy & happiness. Did we mention he loves to play, well he does & especially with his best bud Gian Gian. But for a lab, this boy is one of the calmest labs we have ever seen. Winston is also being treated for a skin infection & by the time we find his & Gian Gian their forever home together he should be finished with his medication. Poor guy has been through it but his beautiful personality still shines through. We are extremely excited to get this beautiful soul & his friend their true forever homes as he is one of the most amazing souls we have had the pleasure of meeting. Winston is a beautiful walker on his harness & leash & enjoys going for walks & taking in the scenery. Winston’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. This boy does well being groomed & bathed, he is such a love & so very easy. Winston is a beautiful car rider, he is such a gentleman & likes putting his head out the window on car rides. He also adores snuggling into blankets & beds. We are only looking for a crate free home only for Winston & his best friend Gian Gian. We are also looking for a forever home for Winston where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Winston has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he loves every dog he meets & he is currently with other dogs & his best friend Gian Gian. We are looking for a home for Winston with his best friend Gian Gian & they must be adopted together. They can go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home as they enjoy other dogs company. A fully fenced backyard is also mandatory. Winston is a male & possibly a Labrador retriever what he is mixed with we do not know. He is 4 years old now roughly 87.6 lbs & has put on quite a bit of weight with us. He is neutered, treated for a skin infection with antibiotics, received apoquel, had a dental, scale & polish, along with dental x-rays. He was tested for giardia & it came back positive so he was treated for it. He is microchipped, treated with credelio, now up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Winston with paying for boarding him, all his medical, his dental scale & polish, dental x-rays, treating him for giardia, his shots which he needed all of them, medications for a skin infection, credelio etc than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Winston has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats or small animals so we are only looking for a home without small children & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Winston was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & we were not there when he was born so we do not know his exact birth date & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Winston friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Winston potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Winston & Gian Gian together & going through our process and have read their listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Webex due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Winston has a adoption fee of $995 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

We no longer accept PayPal due to its fees & charges they charge the rescue, but if the potential adopter is willing to pay those we will accept PayPal. Poor Bruce was originally surrendered to the rescue & was not taken care of at all medically & was extremely skinny. We got Bruce all of his medical taken care of & put him into a loving foster home while he waited to find a forever home. Bruce was adopted by a lovely couple with small children & was living the dream life until his mum & dad got divorced. Unfortunately his mum can no longer care for him on her own while looking after 2 small children & give him the attention & exercise that he needs. So Bruce is looking for that very special home to cherish him. UPDATE: We currently have Bruce in a loving foster home & he has been the most amazing perfect boy his foster mum said. He is wonderful with new people & dogs, loves the dog park & his walks along with car rides. His foster mum also said he is the most perfect dog. Yet again one of the most amazing softest, kindest sweetest boys & that’s Bruce. This boy for what humans have done to him is so loving & forgiving & just wants you to love & adore him. Bruce’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. His current mum said, he is the sweetest dog, just as we said. He’s good with other dogs, small children & cats with the proper introduction. He does not have much of a play instinct but he enjoys walks & being outside. He does still need more work walking on his leash. His current mum also said they have taken him camping & he enjoys this, particularly water & the beach. Due to his life before them he’s very sensitive to following a regular food schedule. He likes extreme consistency when it comes to his meal schedule, and gets anxious if that’s not followed. He does get nervous around new people, but warms up quickly. He does need to be introduced properly to dogs & cats when first meeting new furry friends. Bruce needs a forever home who can give him attention & a home where someone is home during the day or her can go with his people. Bruce has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is good with dogs. We are looking for a home for Bruce with someone who can give him more attention, play with him & take him on walks & must have a fully fenced secured backyard is also mandatory. Bruce is a male & possibly a Labrador retriever what he is mixed with we do not know. He is 5 years old now roughly & roughly 100 lbs & has put on quite a bit of weight. Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sweet Rosie is approx 5yrs old and weighs about 68lbs. According to dna, she is lab / German shepherd. This darling girl was used as a breeding machine, but those days are finally over! Now she just desperately wants her own person to walk, hike and cuddle with. And she’ll sleep peacefully on her own bed next to yours. Rosie gets along great with other dogs when outside but she does have a little jealous streak so she’d do best as an only dog. She is wonderful with people though, and would love to have a home that has plenty of time and affection to share. She does favor women. She does fine on a leash, although she’s a very easy going girl that would be happy just relaxing with her people or hanging out on her property. She was always a wanderer in her original home and can climb chain link so her fence must be 6ft wood. An electric fence would also work great for this darling. Because she is a bit insecure, kids must be over 14yrs old. Rosie would do best with a retired couple or work from home folks. If left alone, she MUST be crated (crate provided).

Story
SO SO sweet, gentle tempered Carlie needs her own, forever home - preferably one with children. She loves kids! Carlie is 65lbs, about 7yrs old and clearly a lab mix. She is very friendly with everyone, and so sweet!! She loves affection from any person around her. And when you’re not petting her, she’ll sit patiently at your side with her head on your lap. She gets along just fine with other animals, too, but does not need any in the home. She’s much more interested in having people to spend time with. She walks nicely on a leash, so long walks and hiking would be great. She will even walk by your side when off leash. Although she will stop to greet any children she sees. She’s happy to just lounge around, too. Carlie is house and crate trained. She is doggy door trained, too! In her current foster home, the fence is only 3ft tall and she does not go over it. So a short fenced yard would be ideal. She is truly a quiet, gentle gem of a girl and so deserves a living family of her own! She is spayed, microchipped, current with vaccines and had a recent blood test to ensure a clean bill of health.
