Hi there, Fiona here, I am so happy that you are reading my profile, that must mean that you are looking for a gorgeous young dog because that is what I am. I am a bit shy when it comes to meeting new people but it doesn't take long to warm up especially if there is a treat involved. I love to play with my 3 siblings who haven't been adopted yet either. I like other dogs as long as I have some time to get to know them. I am a medium-energy dog I think. I mean I like to play and run and walk and all that but I do like to relax too. I will pretty much follow your lead. I need some work on my manners, so if you have some time to teach me I am a quick learner. If you think we could be a good match then just please fill out an adoption application and we can meet on a Zoom call. Hi, I am Paris,Yes, like the city. I don’t speak French, but I do understand Spanish!I am generally a calm dog who likes to play with other dogs when we are introduced. I am still a young do and if you know Labs you know we stay puppy-like for a few years. I love to play with toys and my favorite is balls. If you would throw the ball for me I would love it. I like to play with children too, but I haven’t been around cats before so I am not sure how we would get along. I am good with car rides especially if they end up at the beach. I am not much for swimming, but I love to run in the water and splash everyone!I know that I need to go outside to do my business and I have some basic commands down, but I will still need work with walking on a leash. I hope you will be the one who can help me with that.If it sounds like we could be a family, then just fill out the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Loving life withParis To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Hi I'm Negrita,I hope my new family will come up with a new name for me but for now, I answer to Negrita.I am a bit shy with new people, I think they need to earn my trust, like maybe with some good treats and lots of good loving. I will admit I have a few quirks, like walking into houses...it kind of freaks me out. I am not sure why, but it does. So, I will need some patience with that. I don't like car rides much either, but I think if I am with my family, I will get used to it. I like to go for walks, my foster family takes me on really long walks and I love it. If you have children, I am ok with that, I don't live with kids now but when I am with them I mostly just sit quietly and watch them. Now cats and I don't get along, I love to chase them but for some reason, they don't like that. If you like going to the beach, then you are my kind of family. I love the water and know how to swim well too. If you have another dog in the family, I am sure that after a good introduction, we will get along well. I am still young with lots of things to learn but I am getting pretty good at Sit, Come and Stay. My foster says I am very easy to handle.Mostly I am a cheerful, happy dog who loves to be with my family and if you were going to be my forever family I would be a very happy girl. Just fill in an application and we can meet on a Zoom callLove for all,Negrita To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Hi, I am Charlotte, Are you looking for a Lab? Well, it is your lucky day.I am your typical fun-loving lab who loves other dogs, (once I have a good introduction), loves people, and loves to be goofy and play. I am only a year old, so I still have lots of puppy-ness in me. I will need someone who can teach me some manners because I like to jump up on people when I first meet them. And I am a big girl, so I need to be taught not to do that. I am working on it but it is just that I get so excited when I meet someone.I am still into chewing plastic, water bottles are my favorite, I love the crackle they make when I chew one. I live with a cat right now, but we don’t play, I am just curious what that smell is!I am working on relaxing when I go for car rides, I get pretty nervous in the car, but I don’t get sick or anything. I haven’t been to the beach yet, but I can imagine what it would be like to swim. I would be in Lab heaven.I am pretty good with basic commands like sit, come, shake a paw. I don’t usually pull on the leash during a walk, but I have to say that if it goes on too long…I will just lie down and not budge. If you think you could be the family for me, then just fill out the application and we can meet over a Zoom call.Lots of love and sloppy kisses to give,Charlotte To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Hi I am Mia, Still a puppy, I love to play. I play with the other dogs at the house, I try to play with the cats but they don’t really want to play. I have a young child that I can play with too. I am gentle, give kisses, and show a lot of affection to everyone. Toys are great, I especially like the stuffed balls but sometimes they explode on me, and I don’t know how it happens. But you know I am resourceful; I can find all kinds of things to play with like rope or a plastic bottle or even a pair of shoes! I still have lots of things to learn because I am just a puppy, but I am working on my leash walking. I still pull at first but then I settle down. I spend most of my time in the house but I do know that I need to go outside to do my business, but you may need to remember to send me out until I learn how to ask.If you are looking for a loveable puppy to add to your family, then just fill out an application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of Love to share.Mia To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. HISTORY: Smoky is a senior dog that is need of a SPECIAL Foster Family in the Kirkland area! He is a sweetheart. Just wants some love and a family! Smoky is good with other dogs. He does not move much, due to bad arthritis, so no walks needed, just yard time. He is currently completing medication for a UTI and receiving acupuncture treatments. He is taking pain meds and CBD for his arthritis. Smoky really needs a FOSTER FAMILY to chill that has a fenced yard and only a couple steps up and down, an orthopedic bed and someone to give him LOVE. Smoky would do best with older children,NO toddlers due to his arthritis. He is a very sweet old guy that would be ideal if the foster was in the Kirkland or North Seattle Area. We are looking for someone who loves senior dogs and willing to likely be a FOREVER FOSTER. Story
HISTORY: Trigger came into rescue in March 2023 as an owner surrender in eastern Washington. She looks to be about a 2-4 year old Boxer / Labrador mix with 3 legs. FOSTER UPDATE: Trigger is doing great and loves going for walks and rolling around in the grass. She has earned her nickname "Sugar" - she is a very sweet dog. She loves to wag, cuddle, get belly rubs, and give kisses. She can be cautious with new people, but she warms up pretty quickly and is a cuddler - leaning in for hugs, gently putting her paw on your leg to ask for snuggles, and laying her head or body on your lap when you sit or lay near her. She has a lot of love to give. She has good coordination and endurance and loves to go on long walks (with little breaks). She gets pretty excited about bunnies and would like to chase them, so she does best walking on a leash. She seems to be more comfortable with smaller dogs rather than bigger dogs. ADOPTION INFO Dog adoption fees include: - All Basic Dog Vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (Up to $400) - Neuter (Up to $300) - Microchip & Registration All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue. Story
I'm Kkami, a 5-year-old female Labrador Retriever looking for my forever home. I've had a bit of a rough start, being abandoned near a rural chicken coop, but thanks to some kind souls, I've been rescued. I'm a social butterfly with a heart as big as my paws. It doesn't take me long to warm up to new people—I'll be nudging you for pets and belly rubs in no time. I get along great with other dogs, always up for a playdate and ready to make new friends. However, I do have a bit of a protective soul, so if another dog challenges me, I might stand my ground. Just something to keep in mind. I'm well-behaved on walks, although I might need a gentle reminder not to pull too hard on the leash. When it comes to strangers, I'll give a little bark to let you know someone's approaching, but I'm calm and collected in my kennel. I'm an outdoor enthusiast when it comes to bathroom breaks—I prefer the great outdoors for that. And did I mention how smart I am? I've mastered basic commands like sit, paw, and stay. I might not guard my food, but if another dog tries to sneak a nibble, I'll definitely let out a warning growl. So, what do you say? Are you ready for a lifetime of tail wags, paw prints, and unconditional love? If you think we could be the perfect match, come meet me! I can't wait to bring joy and companionship to your home. Story
I'm Luvy, a 10-month-old female Labrador Retriever. I had a rough start in life, tied up to guard fields in the countryside until I was rescued. But don't worry, that's all behind me now! I absolutely adore people! Whether we've just met or known each other for years, I'll wag my tail and nuzzle up to you, asking for pets and cuddles. I've got quite a playful and affectionate nature, you see. I'm quite the social butterfly too! I get along well with other dogs and always greet new furry friends with a friendly sniff and wag of my tail. However, if another dog tries to start something, I might be tempted to join in, so it's best to watch out for that. When it comes to humans, I can't help but bark with joy when I see you, but don't worry, I'm not much of a puller on walks. I do have a high energy level, though, so after a good run around outside, I'm more than happy to curl up for a nice, relaxing nap. I'm quite good about doing my business outdoors and I don't guard my food from people or other dogs. Basically, I'm just a sweet and well-behaved girl looking for a loving forever home. Could that be with you? To see more Videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPR0sEDQoTE&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JwIdJYnxIobP2SzW7GoO0jL ❤ we accept both Canada/US applicants ❤

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Stella is a ~6 year old Lab/Pit mix. She is loving, friendly and wants nothing more than to have a home where she can get lots of cuddles, treats and attention. Once she knows you she is sweet as a button and loves her people deeply. Stella's favorite things are treats, a comfy bed and lots of pets. You can find her cuddled up on her bed and sunbathing on a nice day. She has a calm demeanor and walks well on a leash. Stella is She's has a very high prey drive and can be aggressive towards other animals. She needs a family that has dog reactivity experience so they know how to keep her safe and separate. Stella would do best in an adult-only home or with kids over the age of 12. Not because she is aggressive towards people, she just prefers a quiet and calm home where she can be loved and spend her days relaxing :) She is UTD on her vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $250.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Lady Rover! She is a friendly, 6-year-old, 79 lb Lab mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. She is a strong dog who pulls on the leash when going for walks. She will need a strong adopter who can handle her strength. She knows basic commands and takes treats gently. She can be selective with other dogs and would do best as the only dog in the home. She would love a home with a yard where she can explore and lounge! She has not been tested with kids or cats but due to her size and strength we are recommending kids over 10 years old. Lady Rover is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Alpine was born on 5/22/23 and we brought him home in early October with the goal of training him to be a psychiatric service dog for our autistic teen. We have realized, however, with our work schedules, that we are not going to be to accomplish this goal. We LOVE Alpine - he is a wonderful, sweet, affectionate puppy who would be a great emotional support dog for someone who could be with him most of the time. He does experience separation anxiety in that if his people are around he wants to be next to them. He also has some aversion to getting into cars from motion sickness that he had when he was much younger but from which he has recovered - he's made a lot of progress in that area. He is great with other dogs, cats and kids. Requirements before we consider approving an adoption: 1) Agreement for at least 3 sessions with our trainer (thus the adoption fee); 2) A home visit before you meet Alpine; 3) That you live in the Seattle area; 3) A visit with Alpine at our home.
