Story
Bo is a happy, ball obsessed pup, who adores being adored! He’s one of our favorites and everyone who’s met him absolutely loves him! Bo is smart, goofy, loyal, and charming! Give him a snack and he’ll be a pal for life! Just be prepared for tons of slobbery kisses in return! Bo does great with kids and loves meeting new people! He needs to be the only animal in the home, but with all the love he has to offer, Bo will make your world feel whole! He will be super excited to see you when you get home from work and will likely ask if it’s time to play. Bo LOVES to play! Fetch and tug are some of his favorite games! And, he makes the most goofy noises when he wants attention! When taking a break from play, Bo enjoys a nice, quiet, sunny spot in the yard to sunbathe or a comfy spot on the couch. Lounging is just as important to Bo as playtime and kisses! He’s an expert cuddler, and if Bo had his way, every day would be a constant rotation of play, cuddles, kisses, and making your day brighter! We estimate Bo to be 7-8 years old. Weighing in at 65 pounds, we think he's a pit bull/lab mix with all the best qualities one could ask from a dog as handsome as he is! If interested in adopting Bo, please fill out an application at:  https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application.  Bo’s adoption fee is $450 and he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. **See more photos of Bo on his Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.852947560208266&type=3 ##986379##

Story
Beautiful 1yr old Carissa is a sweet, social girl that will do best in a socially active family. She loves to get outside and run so she’d be a great jogging partner! She also loves to meet people of all ages so lots of walks are a must, too. She is very friendly and affectionate, and loves to cuddle but at 48lbs she’s getting a bit big to continue being a lap dog, although she doesn’t think so! Carissa also enjoys playing with other dogs so another medium size dog in the home would be great, but it’s not required. She has not yet been tested with cats but she’s such a sweet tempered girl, we think she’ll be fine with the kitties. She is fully crate trained so she can be left home alone for a reasonable amount of time. With just a little more direction, she’ll be fully house trained, too. She is very smart so lots of continued training games with an experienced person will help her become the very best k9citizen! She must have a 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard and kids must be over 8yrs old. (More photos coming soon)

Story
Roo is looking for her forever home! Roo is a beacon of happiness, always radiating joy and enthusiasm. Her exuberance for life is evident in her wiggly and energetic nature, often hopping around like a playful goat when she is excited! Despite having some special medical needs, Roo has overcome challenges with resilience and is now seeking the perfect home to share her boundless joy. This spirited pup loves meeting new people and is sure to bring a smile to your face with her silly antics. Her absolute favorite thing is playing with her beloved ball and witnessing her enthusiasm is a true delight! Her foster family can't get enough of the amusing noises she makes – from adorable snarfles to entertaining grumbles, Roo never fails to express her thoughts and feelings! Roo is wonderful in the car and is always excited to be your copilot! After she’s gotten her energy out, she transforms into a cuddle bug. When it’s time to relax, she’ll snuggle up and tuck her little head in the crook of your arm, accompanied by the most precious snores!  Roo has faced some unique medical challenges that are believed to stem from a combination of mechanical and neurological issues. According to her neurologist, Roo has evidence of a skull malformation, likely from birth, causing her to be unable to open or close her jaw completely. She also has bilateral trigeminal neuropathy (big words for such a small babe!) which contributes to the lack of range of motion in her jaw as well as affecting sensation in her face and her eyes.  Due to the lack of sensation in her eyes, she had one of her eyes removed that had been damaged before she came to us, and requires daily eye drops in the other to keep it healthy. Roo also needs softened food since she can’t chew properly.  Roo has been doing well with basic manners and training. With her medical conditions, we implemented creative strategies to help determine the most effective way to support her learning, and she is doing fantastic!  Roo was born in May of 2023, is a German Shorthaired Pointer, and weighs 30 pounds. If interested in adding this super special girl to your family, please fill out an application at https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application. Her adoption fee is $550 and she is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. See more photos of Roo on her Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.687391840097173&type=3 ##1777829##
