Story
Hector was found wandering the streets of Tonala, Mexico with a wounded leg. Once rescued by our group, he received veterinary care and fortunately he had no complications and his wound healed 100%. He is a very calm, somewhat submissive dog and generally very shy in the beginning, bot with people and other dogs. He warms up to you and starts slowly gaining confidence with patience and reassurance. He would very much enjoy being around people that can guide him.and teach him how to be a dog and build his confidence while socializing him.

Story
Leo was rescued as a stray in Guadalajara, Mexico. He is still in Mexico under the care of our sister rescue until he gets adopted in the PNW. Leo is an amazing lab, goofy, fun, active and allá round adorable. He gets along well with other dogs and children. He enjoys being active and is quite playful, but can also settle and cuddle if that is your preference. He would do best in a home with an active family that has time to offer him and is willing to take him places to explore. He is still learning to walk better on leash. He tolerates well his crate for short periods and is not housebroken. He is a smart boy and will respond to your cues quite easily. Patience and consistency are key for any dog and especially for labs! If interested, send us an application and make sure you answer all questions thoroughly. Thank you!

Bean has completed her health checks and protocol and is ready for a family in the PNW. In the meantime, she is patiently waiting in Mexico.

Story
Beautiful 1yr old Carissa is a sweet, social girl that will do best in a socially active family. She loves to get outside and run so she’d be a great jogging partner! She also loves to meet people of all ages so lots of walks are a must, too. She is very friendly and affectionate, and loves to cuddle but at 48lbs she’s getting a bit big to continue being a lap dog, although she doesn’t think so! Carissa also enjoys playing with other dogs so another medium size dog in the home would be great, but it’s not required. She has not yet been tested with cats but she’s such a sweet tempered girl, we think she’ll be fine with the kitties. She is fully crate trained so she can be left home alone for a reasonable amount of time. With just a little more direction, she’ll be fully house trained, too. She is very smart so lots of continued training games with an experienced person will help her become the very best k9citizen! She must have a 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard and kids must be over 8yrs old. (More photos coming soon)

Story
Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. This beautiful girl was abandoned by her previous owner & the medical state she was left in was so deplorable & maddening. She was extremely thin, she had not received any medical care at all but was used as a breeding machine. We were asked could we help Rosie & she was surrendered to the rescue. This girl is one of the most happiest, loving dogs you will ever meet. It’s as if she is always smiling. Rosie is the best of both worlds, she will play with her dog friends but then be happy to snuggle up with you. She can be a little stalker but also just lay around inside or outside. Rosie is fostered on a property so she has the ability to sun herself outside with her other dog friends & absolutely enjoys that. She was stung by a bee recently we believe outside in her foster home & had a reaction so we believe she is allergic to bees. She has mastered stairs & can go up & down them no worries. This little lady is now loving life in her foster home. She is extremely sweet but is very loving & a very cuddly lady. She really enjoys snuggling with you & we know she adores receiving love. Rosie loves men & woman & is such a loyal girl. Every time we have had her at our vets she has done amazing. Rosie spent a lot of time in a daycare & she did really good in the daycare. She has also spent time on a farm & is good around, chickens & goats & couldn’t care less. Miss Rosie is your typical beautiful lab who loves to eat & loves her treats. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not get to experience ever until she was rescued. She currently sleeps with her foster sibling & is so easy going. She absolutely loves to sleep near you too & to be apart of what you are doing. She is such a very fun, happy & so joyful girl who just wants to be loved & to make up for her past. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She is accepting with being bathed & groomed & tolerates the hairdryer. She absolutely loves you brushing her & will close her eyes & go to sleep while brushing her. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash as she pulls a lot on her leash. Rosie rides in the car well & loves a good car ride & adventure. We are looking for a crate free home for Rosie only. We are also looking for a forever home for Rosie where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Rosie is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Rosie has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with other dogs in her foster home. She will be found snuggled up with her foster siblings. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for her to thrive in. She needs a very snuggly dog in the home for her to play with. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Rosie is roughly 78.4 lbs & he is roughly 9 years old & ‭a Labrador retriever‬. She has put on a lot of weight since being in the rescue. What she is mixed with we are not sure, we got her spayed by laser, microchipped her, she is up to date on DHPP, bordatella, rabies & has been dewormed. We recently did a fecal on her & it came back clean. We treated her for patches of a skin infection on her ears & legs & she also had an ear flush. We have spent far more on Rosie with paying for all of her medical care, spay by laser, shots, microchip, feeding her, etc than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Rosie has been around cats since being in the rescue & she will chase cats so we absolutely do not recommend cats but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had her around small children but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Rosie was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Rosie’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Rosie potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Rosie & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Rosie who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for the special sweet Miss Rosie. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Rosie has an adoption fee of $485 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
