Story
Meet Teddy Thomas! Teddy Thomas is a 7-year-old, 14 lb sweet boy. He was surrendered to us after his owner was moving and could no longer keep him. Thankfully, we were able to step in and give him a safe place to land. He recently had a dental (with five teeth removed) and is already feeling so much better and ready for a fresh start. Teddy is such a fun, lively little guy. He’s high energy, athletic, and always excited to be part of whatever you’re doing. He loves treats (very food motivated), enjoys his walks, and does well on leash. He’s also great in the car, which makes him an easy little sidekick. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves attention. Teddy is the type to jump up to greet you, soak up all the pets, then curl up for some snuggles after he’s gotten his wiggles out. He’s playful, social, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s still getting the hang of a consistent potty routine and will do best in a home that can continue guiding him with structure and regular potty breaks. Teddy is just a really lovely dog who wants to be close to his people and be part of a home again. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic, and cuddly companion, Teddy Thomas might be your guy. ---- Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers. Story
Johnny B. Good is a 2-year-old, 9 lb Maltese with a story that proves just how resilient little dogs can be. He was first discovered living beneath a home in a Los Angeles neighborhood, tucked away in the crawlspace where he would sleep. When the homeowners blocked off access, Johnny B. Good was forced out and began roaming the neighborhood for nearly two weeks, doing his best to survive on his own. Thankfully, a kindhearted Good Samaritan stepped in and took him in, caring for him for over a month while trying to locate his owners. When no one came forward, she reached out to a local rescuer we work with, who brought Johnny B. Good to Shelter Hope so he could finally get the fresh start he deserves. Now safe, Johnny B. Good is beginning his next chapter. He can be a little feisty at first and takes some time to warm up, which makes sense given everything he has been through. With slow introductions, patience, and a gentle approach, his personality starts to shine. He does well with other dogs and will thrive in a home that gives him the time and understanding he needs to feel secure. Once he trusts you, you will see just how special he is. And of course, he is as cute as they come. If you are willing to give a little extra patience, Johnny B. Good will reward you with a lifetime of love. --- Looking to Adopt? Story
Meet Heemong l! He is the sweetest boyl! He is a 2 year old that was rescued from a breeding farm before heading to a dog meat farm in South Korea.  We have partners we work with there that pull these dogs from the worst horrors imaginable.  Many of these dogs start off in horiffic puppy mill type facilities on tiny rabbit cage size wire crates in complete filth.  If they are not sold at 6 or 8 weeks then they either stay for a couple years to be used to breed more and then are sold off to the meat trade, or they are sold off right away.  Jindo's and Tosa's are the most common meat type dogs, and are very commonly bred specifically for their meat and the meat farms also act as breeding farms until they reach a good age and weight. South Korea is one of the only countries that actually farms dogs for their meat.   Restaurants will serve a dish called " bosintang ", which stands for "dog meat soup". It's a popular dish in South  Korea,  and is said to act as an aphrodisiac for men.    Little dogs are used for elixirs and potions.  The younger generation is mostly against this practice and many choose to not eat them, and we can only hope in time with education and generations of change that an end will come to this horrific trade. Heemong and some of his family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life.  These are miracle dogs that they are alive today.  Our adoption fee is $600 which helps offset some of the flight costs.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application form at  https://form.jotform.com/oscarlucy/dog-adoption-app May 10, 2026, 4:54 pm

Her adoption fee is $500 https://pawsitivetailstoremember.forms-db.com/view.php?id=17980 Teena is approximately 1 yrs old (or a bit younger), she weighs 8 lbs and she is a Maltese/Yorkie mix with a gorgeous silky blonde coat. Teena is house trained, she can use a doggie door, leashed trained and she’s a bit shy and reserved, but will warm up as time goes on. *** We are requiring at least one other SMALL dog in the home with her for companionship. She will fit into any type of home and family, but we prefer a young and active home with children. Please open up your heart and home for this beautiful girl.
