Peanut is an adorable Maltese/Poodle Mix, 10 years old and weighs 16 lbs. He and his best buddy Butter were dumped at a high kill shelter after the owners decided they didn’t want them anymore. Peanut has the sweetest personality; he is starved for human affection and kindness. He is good with other dogs (besides Butter). We don’t know what their previous living situation was but they both love being outdoors and investigating the yard! Peanut is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION MEET CHANTILLY....“Chantilly lace with a pretty face” really describes this 9 lb, 6 yr old, white, Maltese Mix (doesn’t seem to shed)...who came from the Moreno Valley Shelter a true mess before she was groomed! Her teeth looked like she had been eating dirt...but we did a dental and she had zero extractions (amazing for a Maltese!) This poor little lady was very shut down and withdrawn...she wasn’t feeling well with a severe UTI, which was treated successfully. Now she is a bundle of love and sweet, calm energy! Chantilly’s favorite pastimes are kissing, cuddling and chasing after toys — not too sure what to do with them if she gets there, and always lets her foster roomie get them first — but she has a very sweet personality and is very human oriented. While she doesn’t HAVE to go with another dog, she doesn’t like to be alone and will squawk about it for a few minutes, but does settle down. She is petite enough to share brunch on a Sunday...or run errands with you. She is well mannered and happy to be a part of a new family’s life!! Now that she is feeling better, she has energy on her walks and does her business outside or on a pp pad...but no guarantees at your house! Chantilly is very friendly with everyone but quite shy at first. She could be with kids over 8 yrs old...as long as they make sure the door to outside is closed! Not a runner but loves to be out in the fresh air! Does Chantilly sound like a pup who could open your big heart to love? We might not be so sure of his breeds, but this 1.5 yr old, gold/white, 11 lb (a bit underweight), Maltese/Spaniel/Terrier ??? pupster has to be the absolute SWEETEST dog we have ever had! He doesn’t shed…but his breed(s) have stumped us except awesome (and he doesn’t shed)! He came to us from the Moreno Valley Shelter, scared to death and didn’t want to engage with anyone there, so they deemed him “not nice.” I beg to differ! Rory wants to meet everyone on the street — dogs and people alike. He does have a bad habit of jumping up to people on walks but sometimes when we go to introduce him, he becomes shy! Rory loves his walks, belly rubs and being up on high places! He does get mischievous and sometimes wants to get into “stuff” — so guard your garbage and anything you hold dear! He won’t destroy anything — at least he hasn’t here — but you never know. He’s only a puppy!! He is quiet, likes other dogs but we don’t believe he has to have one in his life. He’s mainly people oriented and loves attention and being loved. He deserves it 10000000%. He’s even getting the hang of potty training (squats to pp and is NOT a marker)….but no promises at your house! If you are looking for a best friend…Rory will blend into any family situation, except he won’t enjoy being left behind. We don’t know his tolerance for cats, but he is very submissive so he would probably be fine. Not a big barker and no separation anxiety that we’ve seen — just a wonderful soul looking for a forever home. Might that be with you? Our website is updated daily. Such A Perfect Little Gentleman...Meet Toto! Toto is a male, approx 8 year old, Maltipoo (with maybe a touch of Westie) who is about 10lbs of pure cuteness! He came to us as an owner surrender who unfortunately left him in not so great condition. Toto was matted, dirty, full of fleas and skin allergies. We had him fully vetted including a complete dental with extractions (he only has 3 teeth now). He is now in a wonderful foster home where he is getting all the love he deserves and more! We are looking for a forever home for him that has a calm, non chaotic home where the owner are home most of the day and are basically homebodies. He LOVES being at home more than walks or going out and about. He would rather just hang out with you, sitting by your side or out in the garden where he can soak up the sun! Toto would do best with his potty training if he has a home with a safe and secure backyard that he has access to. He is such a good boy who is calm, sweet, mellow, and so loving! Please note that due to the condition he was left in, he still deals with some allergies and will require continued Cytopoint (allergy shots), short puppy cuts are best, and some home cooking as he will need soft food for nutrition and since he only has 3 teeth. We only adopt in the Greater LA areas as an in prson meet/greet, home check, and trial are required. Toto is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Please contact us at gina@theforgottendog.org
