What can I say about Riley? Well, he's an awesomely smart, sweet and incredibly energetic and little guy, and would truly be an excellent addition to the right home, one, preferably, where he wouldn't be left home alone all day, because he can experience a bit of separation anxiety if he is away from his "person" for longer than 3 to 4 hours, so someone being home part of the day would be perfect. Riley is currently the only dog in the home, so I'm a bit unsure as to how he would be with another dog. But with that said, I truly think that with his personality and loving nature, once accustomed to his new home, he'll fit right in! I adopted Riley at two months old and just a tiny little thing at two pounds, and he's a very healthy and robust 15 lbs now! He's puppy pad trained, has had all of his shots and is currently on Advantage. He ADORES Peanut butter, Greenies, celery and carrots so getting him to sit, stay, come or "down" with any of those would be an extremely easy feat!

Murphy is a 1 year old Maltese with a little bit of mischief tucked beneath that adorable face. He was found abandoned at Bob Murphy School in Rialto, but this tiny guy isn’t letting his rough introduction to the world define him. He has a curious streak, an expressive little face, and the kind of personality that makes you wonder what he’s thinking every time he looks your way. Murphy would be right at home being part of the action—investigating what you’re doing, trotting along beside you, and making himself comfortable wherever the day happens to take you. He’s good with kids and dogs, so he can bring his pint-sized personality into a home with plenty of activity and company. Now Murphy is looking for the part of his story that should have come first: a family who keeps him close, includes him in the everyday stuff, and gives him the security of knowing he isn’t being left behind again. But he is not very strong, is easy to handle and controll. He responds well to a light leash correction and will usually stop the behavior. However we believe that he'd do the best with an adopter who has prior experience with dogs.

Meet Winnie! A spirited almost seven-year-old Bichon Frise/West Highland White Terrier mix currently in Walnut Creek, CA, whose essence is a bundle of sweetness wrapped in a fluffy, mostly white coat. At 14 pounds, Winnie is a small boy with a big enthusiasm for being close to his people! He is a constant companion who happily turns everyday moments into adventures, whether he is heading out for a walk, hopping into the car for a ride, or settling nearby at bedtime. His medium energy level pairs nicely with an active family. Winnie enjoys three to five walks a day or access to a securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs. He also gets the zoomies indoors, so room to run is appreciated! Playtime is one of Winnie’s specialties. Stuffed animals are favorites, but bring out a ball and he is ready for fetch! He also enjoys a game of tug-of-war, making him a fun companion for people who enjoy interactive play. Winnie knows “quiet,” “stay,” and “sit,” comes when called, and could continue building his skills through positive reinforcement. Winnie is friendly with strangers and generally gets along well with cats. He has not met another dog directly, so his compatibility with dogs is unknown. On walks, however, he shows curiosity and wants to approach other dogs. He has not spent time around children. A younger couple or active family who can offer companionship, activity, and play could suit his lifestyle nicely! This sweet boy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, house-trained, and appears healthy. Winnie is sensitive about facial grooming but has never bitten anyone. His regular groomers have always used a face muzzle without issue. An experienced groomer comfortable using this support can help make grooming successful. Winnie usually handles short periods alone well, though he occasionally needs a little encouragement when people leave.
