Story
Little pup seeking the back of your recliner or couch to share. Introducing Teddy, a 2 ½ year old, 7-8 pound, Morkie (Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier cross) with a silky, soft coat requiring routine grooming. Teddy needed a few months to decompress and settle into foster care so we could get to know him and help him secure his forever home. This little guy’s personality is more like that of a Terrier; he’s independent, knows what he likes and doesn’t like, is playful, and loving to his people. Teddy does not trust people right away and will require time to adjust to the adopter. Teddy came to our rescue after his owner fled her home because of domestic violence issues. Understandably, he requires a very calm home, without children, and a patient, understanding adopter.  As you could maybe tell from the opening sentence, one of Teddy’s favorite places to lay is on the back of his foster mom’s recliner chair. He enjoys overseeing the activities of the house’s other dogs from his perch, having a good cuddle, as well as sleeping under his blanket. Teddy’s foster home has several small dogs in the home and he really enjoys playing tug and chase with them.   Teddy has some emotional scars from the life he lived prior to rescue, but he has made a lot of progress these past several months. We are hoping that you are that special person willing to give this boy a chance to become your best buddy. He deserves a wonderful new life. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Must have a securely fenced yard, and an adult only household. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, dewormed, groomed, tested for diseases, neutered, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS need to be requested from acaringplace@comcast.net   Our online application is not working properly. A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. Rolex is a silly goose! Maltese boy with exceptional personality. He’s an older guy, would do fine with kids and other dogs. He’s a lap dog though. We don’t see cats being a bother, as he’s a happy-go-lucky guy.  He’s so ugly, he’s cute..   His lamby looks like him.His name is Rolex, he looks more like a Casio, but definitely has the heart of a Rolex. He is the sweetest pumpkin ever!! He is playful for his age, but not too much. He loves to carry small stuffed babies around in his mouth and likes to collect his treasures in his kennel. He loves to snuggle and will sit on your lap and stare at you like you hung the moon. He’s perfect!   He is kennel trained and is doing well going potty outside!  Rolex is getting a makeover with some top notch grooming. You think he's cute now? He's going to be irrestible.  ##2602168##

Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Squash: Housebroken: Doing well overall! Crate trained: Squash does best free-roaming in a safeguarded (no access to stairs, trip hazards etc) space when home alone. Leash walking: He has seemed fearful on leash and would likely do best with access to a fenced yard Dog social: He lives with respectful dogs in his foster home and has done well in co-existing peacefully with them Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown, but he may be most comfortable with slightly older kids given his limited vision Squash likes: - Napping in a cozy spot - Snacktime - Building trust with his people Squash is a super laid back guy, but is still adjusting to all of the newness around him...and to navigating the world with limited vision. He is very sweet and working hard to open up as he acclimates to his new environment, and would appreciate a patient adopter who can help him along the way! Squash has been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, which is a chronic disease that will likely require lifelong medication to manage it. He had his right eye removed while in our care, and is suspected to have little or no vision in his remaining left eye. Squash's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter, and he is eager to find a comfy home where he can blossom! Meet Lilly! I am a gentle soul with a heart full of love. I am very sweet and love belly rubs and treats. I weigh 10 lbs and love to go on walks. I do get excited and “talk” to other dogs on walks. Don’t they know this is my neighborhood and they aren’t allowed to walk in it too?! Due to my excitement, my foster mom thinks I’d do best in a home where I’m the only dog and get alllllll the attention. My favorite place to be is on my humans lap, being held and watching tv. Yes, TV! Let’s meet and talk about our favorite shows to watch. I can’t wait to be our couch buddy. My foster mom says I also love to keep her company while she works and I’m the best co- worker and let her work while I snooze, dreaming of my forever family finding me. I am about 3-1/2 years old and I’m told I’m a Yorkie-Maltese mix. Which equates to an adorable little bundle of pure happiness. I am housebroken and crate trained. But I only go in the crate when no one is home or to sleep overnight. If there are any kids in my forever home, I prefer them to be 10 or older. Lilly is available to adopt in the Chicagoland area and is being fostered in a home. Appointments to visit her will be set up for approved adopters only. Adoption fee is $400.00 which includes all age appropriate vaccines, and she is already spayed and microchipped.
