Hi. First, it will take a bit to get through this but I know for certain I am doing the right thing. I love my Cuddle Bug, so very much, but I can no longer walk without pain. I have always wanted a pure bred Maltese and I finally got one in October of 2024. She was born in late July of 2024 so she is still young, just about 8 pounds but I think she might have gained some winter weight, maybe a whole pound. She is so affectionate and her name is perfect because she loves to cuddle, hug, scooch right up to your leg to sit and watch tv, sit in your lap as much as you allow, she definitely sleeps in my bed, curled up next to my back when it’s chilly. She is fully potty trained on pads for inside, and she has never tinkled or poo anywhere not supposed to except for the first week I had her. She is very sweet but needs a minute to warm to strangers. She is energetic, so she needs a home where someone can exercise/play/walk her, keep her fairly active. Thank you.

Ernie is a 6 year old, 9 lb Maltese/Poodle mix. When he first arrived at Humane Tomorrow, it was obvious that he had not been well cared for. He had a long, dirty coat and teeth that required cleaning and five extractions. Now, he is just as cute as he is sweet and happy. Ernie is a social butterly and the life of the party. He loves people. He will gladly hop into the nearest lap to be petted. He gets along with the big and small dog in his foster home, and he ignores the cat. Ernie could easily be an only dog too, but he would prefer that his people are home most of the time. Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Biscuit is 28lb maltese-terrier mix. Relatively healthy. He is low maintenance. He does not bark that much. He is chill and likes to sleep. So sweet personality. He likes to be around people and stay on your lap. We rescued him in late 2023 so he is probably around 2.5-3 years old. His face is maltese but his fur is short. We have pet dander allergy in our family so we need a dog that is more hypoallergenic. We have been taking care of him so well. He receives yearly check up, takes daily multivitamin, monthly heart worm prevention, he takes daily walk morning and evening, he is cleaned and bathed quite often on regular basis to maintain his hygiene. The cost of adoption will cover all those expenses.

Despite the change in her world, Sweetie Pie remains exactly what her name promises: sweet, calm, and full of quiet love. Her foster mom reports that Sweetie Pie is wonderfully dog-friendly and has a peaceful, easygoing nature. She absolutely delights in long, leisurely sniffy walks, taking in the world one noseful at a time. A sunny backyard where she can lounge, relax, and soak up the warmth would be her version of paradise. Sweetie Pie is shy around men and simply needs patience and gentle reassurance to feel safe. For this reason, we believe she would do best with a female primary caretaker who can help her settle in and build trust at her own pace. She has been around teenagers, though we do not have information about her experience with younger children.
