Pirata is full of love and is eager to have some fun in a foster home while they recover from an upper respiratory infection. Reason for Foster: URI Foster Time Frame: 2+ weeks(The foster time frame may be shorter or longer depending on future rechecks and medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Pirata is currently undergoing treatment for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. There is a possibility that they are contagious to other animals, so we strongly recommend keeping them separated in a bedroom or bathroom away from your personal pets until they have fully recovered. They will go home with medication and we will provide supplies and a medical consultation at pickup so you are fully prepared to care for this sweetie. How to take this pet home...* ADPOT: Pirata is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Heathcliff is a 1–2-year-old 9-pound neutered male Maltese/Havanese mix. Neutered, current on all vaccines, heart worm negative, microchipped crate trained and working on house training. Heathcliff is still learning about the world and will need a family that understands the time, patience and commitment that comes with a young adult dog. This will include potty training, learning basic commands, regular exercise, and lots of play time in a backyard with a secure wooden fence. Heathcliff is very curious and likes toys so make sure you have lots of toys to help him grow into a well manner adult dog. Heathcliff would do best with a dog his size, age and energy level. He loves to play. His breed will need regular grooming. He is an escape artist, and we need to be monitor closely when doors open and close. Heathcliff is a barker when playing and when left alone so an apartment lifestyle is not ideal for him. If you are ready to welcome this sweet boy into your home and help him grow into the best dog, he can be, he would love to meet you. Bruno been with me since February 18.He’s such a sweet boy. He loves to play and go for walks. He loves his toys and treats.he is crate trained, good with my girls, they’re older. He barks at strangers when they come into the house And also at kittens.He warmed up to us quickly but took a few weeks to warm up to our un-neutered male doodle. They became new fast friends and love to play with each other inside & out. He also not neutered.He is up-to-date on his shots. The home for him has a yard and a family that has the time to get to know him, and enjoy his rambunctious playful ways.His first home moved and couldn’t take him and his 2nd home named him Pickles and then Bear but only had him for a month before she decided that she was too busy for this lovable, playful guy.

Keke is a very special girl. She will do well in a home with a medium sized family or one single peson that does not mind her clingyness. She is not house-trained so she will need to either be trained or be taken outside at LEAST twice a day. For this reason, I highly recommend someone who is active or outdoorsy. Our walks can range from 5 minutes to an hour. She doesn't really like the rain when the grass is wet however if she has to go she will. When I first got Keke from the shelter, I was lucky in the sense that she could eat almost anything; however, nowadays she is a little more picky, especially if she smells or sees a better option. I homemake her own food using pasta noodles, ground turkey, chicken hearts, veggies, and supplements; however, she also really enjoys the Just Food for Dogs BOXED food. She will eat dry food as a LAST resource and doesn't really like any of the store brand wet foods (to my knowledge). Would be great with a family/person with one other SMALL dog.
