Story
We’re looking to rehome our sweet 10-year-old Malti-Shih Tzu, Leia. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations, in good health, and very gentle with children. Leia is potty trained to use pee pads, but unfortunately, we've encountered some challenges since moving into our new home, which is fully carpeted. She has started having accidents on the carpet, particularly in the children’s rooms if doors are left open or when we’re not home. Despite our best efforts to manage and retrain her, the accidents have continued, and it’s becoming difficult to maintain with young children and new baby on the way. We love her dearly. We're hoping to find a loving home she can be better focused on. She loves to cuddle and makes a wonderful companion.

Story
Bruno is a happy little guy. He is just over 4 years old and 10 lbs of adorableness. He plays chase with his foster brother, Wyatt, who is 5 times his size. But loves all dogs- any size! Bruno may take a few days to come out of his shell initially but he will. He has had a lot of changes in his life and he now needs stability with a forever home and family. He is very loving, cuddly and playful.    One of his favorite things to do is collect all the benebones in the house and line them up on his dog bed demonstrating impeccable spacial skills!    To meet Bruno in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2368057##
