But, once she trusts you, she’ll follow you everywhere and want to be with you. She gets along with other dogs. Krissy will walk on a leash and go potty outside but is not completely house trained. She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Krissy needs a calm and loving home with people who will give her time to blossom. Hi, I'm Blue Bell. I was adopted out as a puppy from RHS but my family could no longer care for me. I LOVE human attention. I get along with other dogs, but I do want to make sure I've got your full attention!!! My dental care was basically nonexistent, so I had to have all my teeth pulled. Ready to give an old girl like me a chance? Here's how to meet me: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
