This 3-year-old breeder release Malchon (Maltese/Bichon mix) mama is just beginning to discover what it means to be loved for her. After spending her early life having puppies, shes now learning that humans can be kind, patient, and safe and once she trusts you, her sweet personality truly shines. She can be a bit shy when first meeting new people or in new environments, but give her a little time and a lot of gentleness, and youll see her blossom into a loving, loyal companion. When she warms up, she enjoys being near her people, soaking up quiet affection, and following along once she feels secure. Shes not looking for chaos just a calm home, a soft place to land, and someone who understands that the best bonds are built with patience and kindness. A Few Important Notes: Adoption Area: We only adopt to families living in Illinois, Wisconsin, or states that directly border either IL or WI. Renters: If you rent, please have your landlord contact us directly at mallorytsherwood@gmail.com to confirm that dogs are allowed in your home. Adoption Fee: $600, which includes microchip, current vaccines and boosters, deworming, and spay/neuter at our rescue vet. Using Your Own Vet: If you prefer to complete the spay/neuter with your own vet, well reimburse $100 once proof of procedure is provided. This must be done before 6 months of age, and adopters will sign a contract agreeing to this. Spike is a handsome maltipoo mix. He can be a little shy at first, it takes him a minute to trust someone and warm up. But once he does, you have best friend for life! He is a very happy cuddly dog. Spike has the most fun natural blonde Mohawk that just adds to his charm! DOB 5/8/24 and around 25 lbs. Spike prefers a home without cats and, honestly, would do best as the only furry companion. He can be a bit of an attention hog and doesn’t like to share his favorite human! He would also do best in a home with no kids or kids over 12, who will respect his personal space while he adjusts to a new environment.
