Story
We are still getting to know sweet Tigger, a Malshi (Maltese x Shih Tzu) puppy with an absolute heart of gold! He is very young, and his personality, energy level, and adult size will continue to develop as he grows-but he is already showing what a special, affectionate boy he is.
Tigger is currently being fostered in a home with kids and absolutely loves them! He is a total people-dog who lives for snuggles, warm cuddles, and being right by your side. Combining the cheerful, sweet nature of the Maltese with the sturdy, loving charm of the Shih Tzu, Tigger is the ultimate family companion. Even better, he is already making great progress in his routine and sleeps wonderfully in his crate overnight!
As a young puppy, Tigger is intelligent and eager to please, though his small size and sensitive nature mean he thrives best with gentle, positive reinforcement training. Adopters should still be prepared for typical puppy behaviors as he finishes growing up-including teething, chewing, ongoing house-training, frequent potty breaks, and fun bursts of puppy energy.

Adoption Details
We only adopt within Illinois and Wisconsin and only respond to applications made on our website at thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com.
An adoption fee of $800 fully covers essential medical start-up care, including current vaccines, future boosters provided by one of our rescue volunteers, as well as future alteration surgery and rabies vaccination at one of our partner veterinary clinics. Alternatively, we offer a $100 reimbursement if you prefer to use your own primary veterinarian for the alteration surgery.
