Story
I received the dog in September 2025. I have papers on the dog showing birth, breed, neutered and current shot record. The dog is very timid, does not/will not sleep in a dog bed, and does not take getting shots well. Very good house dog and is house trained. Barks loud! I made my own schedule for taking the dog out daily to pee and poop. I take the dog outside 3 to 4 time daily. Dog does not run!

Waived fees are sponsored by the Zach Schneider Memorial Fund, created in memory of Zach Schneider, who loved pets and fostered for Gateway Pet Guardians! Meet Big Dog — Big Sweetness, Big Fun, Big Love! Big Dog lives up to his name in every way—he’s large, he’s lovable, and he’s overflowing with joy. This gentle giant has a heart to match his size, and around here, we lovingly call him Big Sweetness because that’s exactly what he is. Despite his impressive stature, Big Dog is all softness on the inside. While we think he'd do best as the only dog in a home, he’s affectionate, friendly, and eager to make connections with every human he meets. Whether he’s leaning in for pets, flashing his goofy grin, or trotting around with those oversized paws, he brings an irresistible charm that wins people over instantly. And let’s talk about the fun—because Big Dog brings that in a big way, too. He’s playful, spirited, and always ready for an adventure. From giant-sized zoomies to joyful tail wags that practically create a breeze, he knows how to keep life lively and full of laughter. If you’re searching for a dog who will fill your home with love, laughter, and big-hearted companionship, Big Dog is ready to take up space in your house and your heart. Come meet him—he’s Big Everything you could want in a best friend. Meet Gus! Gus is a charming 3-year-old mastiff mix with a heart as big as his paws. This gentle giant is friendly, outgoing, and absolutely loves people. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and kids—just be prepared for a little “bull in a china shop” energy when he gets excited! Gus is house-trained, kennel-trained, and making great progress with his leash skills. He’s also an excellent car buddy, happy to settle in and enjoy the ride. Story
Compton is a big-hearted, laid-back pup who’s been through a lot and is now searching for the perfect home to call his own. Found abandoned in a park back in January with a collar and lead still attached, it’s clear that he was once someone’s pet—but now he’s looking for a family that truly understands him. Shelter life has been stressful for him, making his search for a loving home even more urgent. While he’s an absolute sweetheart, he thrives best in a calm environment without young kids, as their energy and unpredictability seem to overwhelm him. Otherwise, Compton is truly the bestest boy! This gentle lug is fully crate-trained—though a little hesitant to go in at first, a toy will convince him, and once inside, he settles quietly. He’s also potty trained and will patiently sit by the door to let you know when it’s time to go out. A dream passenger in the car, Compton enjoys gazing out the window or relaxing for the ride. He walks beautifully on a loose leash and has done well with the few dogs he’s met, suggesting he could be a great canine companion with proper introductions. At his core, Compton is just a big teddy bear who deserves all the love in a peaceful, understanding home. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate best friend, Compton is ready to be your perfect companion.
