🩷I learned much about adorable Meryl Streep yesterday as we buddied up and attended CARE’S Adoption Event at “Tower Grove Pride” event. This adorable one and a half year-old pup showed her happy self from the moment she jumped in the car and was the perfect backseat rider. 🩷As we walked to CARE’S tent Meryl walked well on the leash. The event was well attended and this sweet pup was friendly and sweet throughout. As participants of all ages came up to say “Hi” and gave her pets she was gentle to everyone. As other dogs passed she was mostly indifferent being content and enjoying the moment. When this precious girl was tired she laid down and fell fast asleep and stayed like that as the action continued all around her. After her short nap we headed back to the car. This precious, perfect girl made the day’s event fun, happy and totally enjoyable for me her sidekick💕 🩷All I could think is this fabulous pup belongs in a loving home and hopefully soon! Meryl Streep, is a treasure and would be a cherished pup for many families. -Her eye condition is called Cherry Eye and is not serious and will be taken care of by CARES clinic when she’s adopted. 🩷She is at CARE STL for you to meet and possibly fall in love just like me🩷🐾XOXO

This goofy girl has absolutely no clue how big she is, and she'll try to climb right onto your lap to melt you with her big brown eyes and sweet face! Bagels is a true Velcro pup who will follow you everywhere, convinced that your personal space is her personal cuddle zone. But with a face this cute, who needs personal space? She's quite smart, too, and is great motivated, which means she's quick to follow commands. Bagels is reliably house-broken (for the most part!) and loves sleeping comfortably on her own couch, going for walks around the neighborhood, and goofing around in the backyard. He went from a chained up, scared guard dog who lived outside for all of his life to a malnourished stray loose on the streets for almost 2 months to a bouncy, affectionate, happy, playful dog. We are all still eagerly waiting for his final chapter - where he finally lands in a loving, patient forever home where he can snuggle and play to his heart's delight. Estimated to be around 3yo and 76lbs, Fitzy is: 🚽 Likely potty trained or could pick up on it quickly (his kennel is usually clean) 🥰 Very affectionate with his friends and loves giving hugs. 🍗 Slightly snobby foodie - won't take just any old treat if he knows you have better options, but loves chicken jerky and freeze dried beef liver. 🧸 Playful - with toys, especially stuffies, and other dogs with a rough and rowdy WWE playstyle. In play groups at the shelter, he has done better with female dogs, and slow introductions are needed. Because he escaped his previous foster home, he should be taken out on a leash. He has flight risk tendencies in new environments. He's never really had the time or patience he needs to settle in a new home, but with love and understanding, he will realize he no longer has to run and will transform into someone's loyal forever friend. Hi! Sage is what I believe is an iltalian mastiff mix of some sort. Her exact breed is unknown. Her birthday is 2/24/23. She has never resided in a shelter. She was fostered for 2 months through the Stray Reacue, then adopted by me. I am looking to rehome her solely because she is a very social dog who thrives in a home with multiple humans/dogs. Given my sudden life change, I am no longer able to provide that for her. I have noticed her a bit less happy in a home with just myself and her.
