Story
Name: Justin Timberlegs Breed: Poodle mix Sex: Neutered Male Age: 10 months Weight: 10.5 lbs Has Medical Needs Good with dogs? Yes, he loves all dogs and is learning boundaries. He sniffles, wrestles and snuggles with other dogs in his foster home. Good with cats? Not Tested Good with kids? Yes, he is great with 1 and 7 year old kids. Energy level: Medium. Due to his disability, he is less capable of playing than he wants to be. He loves plush toys, balls and stuffies. Medical needs: Justin Timberlegs has no use of his back legs. He uses a wheelchair when not being carried around. He could easily become further injured and needs constant supervision and care. His back legs must be wrapped for protection before he goes outside and he must be kept safe from any dangerous scenario indoors or outdoors, since with his happy energy, he may try to do things he can’t, like use stairs. JT will benefit from acupuncture and/or stem cell therapy when he’s older due to the nature of his injuries. Animal Characteristics: Justin Timberlegs is a very sweet, loving, playful puppy who was severely and unrecoverably injured and has no muscle mass from his waist down. He needs a special adopter with a home that will safely accommodate his mobility issues. He absolutely loves people and craves attention! Like all puppies, he will need continued socialization and training. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Couscous is the happiest little boy, he's about 8 months old. He gets very attached and is VERY protective. He does not like men initially but gets used to them fast. He would do best in a single person home. We are currently working on some behavior trainina and he is doing very well. He would be great with an adopter that is willing to work through his behaviors. (Mainly just his protectiveness) He is potty trained/crate trained/dog door trained. He gets along with other animals.  Couscous is neutered and up to date on vaccinations plus dewormed.  Located in Delta CO

Story
Meet little Curly. He is a tender-hearted, adventurous, fun-loving 4-year-old. 9 pound,  poodle mix (maybe cocker spaniel, maltese, or shih tzu?) He absolutely loves being showered with love and cuddles. He has adapted very well to other dogs, both big and small. Curly is initially cautious around new people and other dogs, but warms up very quickly. He seems OK with older children who understand not to scare him. He is very silly, frequently crawling on his stomach and rolling onto his back for belly rubs. He is doing amazing with potty training and learning how to play and have fun. He will bring much enjoyment to a family that is willing to put in the time to make him feel loved. He would do best with a family that is home a lot, as he loves to be around people. He recently went to his first little league baseball game with no problems. Put in an application at eapl.com His adoption fee is $375  June 14, 2025, 8:59 pm

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XgyTvrFBcsw PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE PROFILE Lucy Liu was dumped at a known dumping ground where we have picked up many other dogs before. She was so matted that she had to be completely shaved by our vet. She is doing great now and enjoys her time at the rescue with all the other dogs and the cats but she is ready to find her happily ever after. She does well in a crate and walks well on the leash. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative) Adoption fee: $650 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
We adopted Willoughby from a shelter 2.5 years ago. He house-trained well and although he was always a bit skiddish and does not like to be picked up, we gave him his space and he really seemed to thrive. He really enjoys going on walks! And he was always great with the groomer. However, we recently adopted another dog and Willoughby has not adapted well. He has regressed to peeing on everything in the house. It has gotten so bad we had to move him outside into a doghouse but even then he just stands there in the rain and scratches at the door. When we first adopted him, he was much happier then and fairly easy to train, which leaves us bewildered by his behavior. We believe Willoughby will be much happier in a calm, quiet home without children or other animals. Please help!
