Story
Tommy is a 1-2 year old, 15lb Poodle.  Tommy is from Mexico.  Once he was rescued he was groomed, and fully vetted by a wonderful rescue in Mexico.  He was then transferred to us because his rescuers knew he could find a wonderful forever family in CO.   Tommy has now been in CO a couple weeks and is totalyl ready to find his forever family.  Tommy is a sweet boy.  He gets along great with other dogs and all people.  He is in a foster home with lot of other dogs, cats, and humans.  He does find cats fun to chase, so his forever home might be best without a cat, unless they know how to tolerate a dog constantly trying to play with them.  Simon loves to follow his foster Momma around the house all the time.  He is an incredibly snuggly little man and would prefer to sleep with his people in bed (probably as the little spoon).  For being a young pup who was found on the streets on Mexico he is pretty perfect.  He is truly such a great little guy.  Tommy will need regular grooming appointments since he is a non-shedding dog. Story
Little Longhorn is a 2(ish) year old, 6lb Poodle mix.  Longhorn came from Texas where he was dumped at an overcowded shelter.   Our rescue partners in the area asked us if we could help him here in CO and we couldn't turn him away!   Longhorn has been here in our foster care for a couple weeks now and is ready to find his forever family.  His foster Momma says he is super super sweet and a bundle of fun energy.  He LOVES to play with the bigger dogs in the home and would love a big dog friend.  She has smaller dogs and cats too, and he tries to get them to play but they aren't as interested.  We want to try to place him in a home with another dog (of any size) to play with.  He loves snuggling during down time and he does sleep in bed with his fosters.  He is a snuggle bug for sure and just such a cute little boy. If you are interested in adopting Longhorn, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2171929##

Story
Hi there, I’m Bailey, a happy-go-lucky 1-2 year old poodle mix. Life hasn’t always been easy for me. I was found wandering the streets of Denver, all alone and scared. Thankfully, some kind folks took me in and helped me get back on my feet. I’m so grateful for their care; it helped me learn to trust again and realize what a wonderful world there is to explore. I love to snuggle up on the couch and play with my toys. I’m also a quick learner when it comes to training. I’m still working on some things, like crate training, but I’m getting there with a little patience and lots of treats. Sometimes I get a bit nervous when I’m left alone, so having a furry friend to keep me company would be awesome. I’m a big fan of other dogs and love making new friends.

Story
Small in size but LARGE in sweetness, 10-year-old Nibbles wants nothing more than to be loved as a lap dog! The easygoing 8-pound black beauty, so calm and so cuddly, adores being anywhere her foster mom is, snuggling with her, resting her head on her and showing her paw for more loving. Despite her laid back demeanor, Nibbles likes going for walks, walking very well on her leash, and taking rides in the car. Friendly towards most of the other dogs she’s met, and simplying ignoring the resident cats, Nibbles is motivated by love, currently knows “come” and “no,” is working on “sit” and is honing her house-training skills. Now all this lovable little lap dog needs is an especially loving home either with someone there most of the time or with another easygoing canine companion for company, to complete her training, including her commands, and adore her fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Story
If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Sprout is the guy you want to have around! Sweet Sprout, at approximately 8ish years old and 15 lbs is just naturally a lover. When he looks at you with those gorgeous dark eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. Sprout is a sweet as can be Miniature Poodle / Bichon Frise mix (as identified by Texas veterinarians. All we know for certain is that this guy is irresistible!) with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular and beloved breed mixes. Farfel's Rescue received a plea from a small Texas shelter to save Sprout's life. He was at risk of euthanasia due to a lack of space. They described this gorgeous dog as wonderful with a very sweet and loving temperament once he's comfortable in his environment. Sprout's story is a heartbreaking one as per his rescuer: This little guy is a perfect lap dog with a kind and loving nature! My favorite time of day is when Mr Sprout jumps up on the office couch and cuddles in my arms. He just makes me feel so calm and happy! I couldn't recommend this little guy enough for anyone who is searching for a hypoallergenic pup (some say this breed mix is the greatest for those with allergy concerns) who will be their best friend and full-time best friend. Sweet Sprout's owner went to a nursing home and he was left alone in the world. Animal Control picked this scared guy up and dropped him off at a terrifying shelter where only minutes later, Sprout was recognized for an excellent temperament. He's now safe and sound preparing for his freedom ride to Colorado and a brand new life. His foster reports that Sprout loves to cuddle close on the couch for TV watching.. or just hanging out with his favorite people anywhere is just about perfect for this loyal best friend. An occasional kiss from Sprout, once comfortable in his new environment, is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very kind dog who derives so much joy from his time spent with his favorite people and doggy friends. Sprout will have so much fun exploring and taking long walks along Colorado's gorgeous paths and trails. Meeting other walkers and hikers is right down this friendly guy's alley. He is always open to new activities...just say the word and up Sprout jumps for a car ride, a fun backyard game or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood. Sprout's rescuer had the following to brag about this sweet guy: Sprout is a very gentle and sweet guy who has had a very tough couple of weeks . But through it all, he's maintained his smile and positive attitude. He's great with gentle dogs and kind humans, likes to play and is working on his bravery (and making great progress) after being abandoned and relinquished to an overcrowded shelter. Sprout's foster bragged the following about Blaze: This gorgeous and sweet as can be Bichon / Poodle is an affectionate and loving dog that is working on leaving his sad past behind. We would love to see Sprout in a home with active dog-loving retirees who can provide this sweetie with all the love and kindness he's missed in this life. A younger family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) that works from a home-based office would also be great for Sprout. He'd be ecstatic with the periodic hugs and attention that this lifestyle offers. We'd hate to see Sprout left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. He seems too sensitive for that type of arrangement. Farfel's Rescue would like to see Sprout in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A virtual or in-person positive reinforcement training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a tiny guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important to the future behaviors of every dog and it's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt Sprout out to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Sprout will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming (approximately every 8 - 10 weeks or so) as well as excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are great lifelong protocols for coat care and general health) to keep his hair cottony-soft, super-healthy and matte-free. Sprout has been fully vetted (passed with flying colors), vaccinated and neutered to fulfill Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs that won't contribute to the overpopulation crisis in the canine population. Sprout is available for adoption now! Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Sprout please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
