Story
&#226&#173&#144 Meet Chase — Olympic-Level Cuddler & Certified Good Boy Hi, I'm Chase! I'm a one-year-old mini poodle mix with a soft, curly coat in a gorgeous blend of tan, brown, and black — and a personality that's even more beautiful. I recently made my way to Colorado from an overcrowded shelter in Arkansas, and I haven't looked back since. What I love: humans (all of them), couch cuddles, dogs of every size, and my toys. I've met cats before — they weren't interested in playing, so I took the hint and moved on. True gentleman behavior. Around the house: I'm fully potty trained and will even use a doggie door. I sleep quietly in my crate at night, understand "no," and am working on "sit" (I'm very motivated by love). I'd do best with older kids (10+) who know that small dogs need gentle hands. Bonus: I patiently let my foster mom put bows in my hair. I'm secure like that. &#226&#156&#133 Up-to-date on vaccines | &#226&#156&#133 Microchipped | &#226&#156&#133 Neutered | ~15 lbs Chase is ready for his forever couch — and his forever person. Could that be you? Apply to adopt at EAPL.com. Chase's adoption fee is 375.  March 9, 2026, 5:29 pm

Story
Meet Napoleon Dynamite! And yes, the name fits, this little guy has clearly been practicing his dance moves because he loves standing up on his hind legs. Napoleon may be small, but he’s got a big personality that’s starting to shine more and more every day. Once he feels safe, he turns into a goofy, playful little guy who loves bouncing around you, going for walks, zooming in the backyard, and scratching himself against your feet. Napoleon’s past hasn’t been the easiest. Before coming to us, he survived a serious attack from another dog and was covered in wounds. Because of that, he’s still a little sensitive around bigger dogs and would likely be happiest as the only dog in his home. In his foster home he does coexist with the resident dogs who politely ignore him, and he’s also been doing well with his foster cat sibling. Watching his confidence grow has been pretty special. Napoleon can be shy when meeting new people, but once you’re in his circle he’s a sweet, loyal little shadow. He’s especially fond of the ladies and has loved every woman he’s met so far—as long as they move slowly and give him a moment to get comfortable. Men are still a bit scary for him right now, but he is learning that they come with lots of tasty treats. He’s doing wonderfully with the basics, he’s quiet as a mouse in his crate, appears to be potty trained, and has been great with gentle handling like being picked up when his foster mom needs to. Most of all, Napoleon just needs a patient home that will let him keep building confidence and show the silly, loving dog we know he is. If you want to follow along with his journey and see more photos and videos, check out his foster mom’s Instagram: @wander_adventurously All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Manny, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Manny! Manny is an adorable, 10 month old, 18 lb Miniature Poodle mix with a friendly personality and a heart full of love. Manny’s story began in Pampa, Texas, where he was found as a stray and brought to a very small local shelter. The shelter was so full that they had to double up some of the kennels, but luckily Manny was the perfect roommate! He was co-kenneled with another small dog because of his incredibly social, easygoing personality. The shelter staff quickly saw what a gem he is. Manny is one of those dogs who seems to get along with everyone he meets, both human and canine. Despite whatever adventures he may have had before arriving at the shelter, Manny has remained a happy, affectionate, and optimistic little guy. He greets people with a wagging tail and a bright, curious energy that’s hard not to fall in love with. Manny loves attention and will happily soak up pets, snuggles, and kind words from anyone willing to give them. Manny could definitely use a good bath and a fresh groom — his fluffy coat is just waiting to be styled into that classic adorable poodle look! Underneath the curly exterior is a handsome pup who will absolutely shine once he’s cleaned up. Regular grooming will help keep his soft coat looking and feeling its best. At just 10 months old, Manny is still very much a puppy. He’s playful, curious, and eager to explore the world around him. He would likely love a home that enjoys walks, playtime, and including their pup in everyday adventures. Manny is also a smart little guy, and like many poodle mixes, he will thrive with positive training, mental stimulation, and lots of love. Because Manny has already shown how well he does with other dogs, he could be a wonderful companion for a home that already has a friendly pup — or he’d be just as happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only. Now Manny is making his way to Colorado in search of the forever family he deserves...one that will give him the stability, care, and love that every young dog should have. Farfel's Rescue and our Texas rescue partners would love to see Manny in a home with an individual, family (older kids are preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see him left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Manny in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Manny is up to date on his vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life. Once he warms up, Peter is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet household with adults or older children who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion, Peter is ready to meet you and start a new chapter in his life!

Sweet like pie, meet Professor McGonagall. At 12 years old, she was ecstatic to have an adopter lined up at the infamous Apple Valley high kill shelter. But when the adopter never showed up, she was heartbroken.
