Story
Chico is a curious, loving, and adventurous boy who bonds deeply with his person. He is nervous with new people at first, but once he feels safe, he absolutely loves pets, outdoor time, and squeaky stuffed animals (his favorite!). Chico is looking for a dog-savvy home that will continue his training and help him keep building confidence .Because he can resource guard and is protective of toys and treats, Chico needs an adult-only home with no children, other dogs or cats. In the right environment, he’s a loyal, affectionate companion who will happily snuggle up after a day of exploring.

Story
I'm Sweetheart and I'm ready to write my love story with you. I'm passionate, tender, affectionate, flirtatious and, did I mention, I'm super cute and fluffy. I'm a mini-schnauzer and, just the right age to be your new romantic partner in life.  If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2558936##

Story
Nyx is a 7.5-lb Mini Schnauzer/Poodle mix puppy born 12/4/25 with a soft scruffy coat and incredibly soulful brown eyes. While he enjoys playing with his brothers and exploring toys, Nyx is the calmer and more affectionate presence of the group. His foster mom describes him as a “soul dog” — a puppy who forms deep bonds with his people and loves nothing more than being close. Nyx enjoys cuddling, nuzzling into your arms, and quietly relaxing near his humans while they work or relax. He plays well with other dogs and has a gentle, trusting personality that makes him easy to love. Nyx is still learning potty training and does well when taken outside regularly, and he will continue improving with routine and consistency. This sweet little boy would thrive in a loving home where he can build a close bond with his people and enjoy plenty of affection and companionship. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted little companion, Nyx may be your perfect match. 🐾 *** Go to www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn all about our dogs, watch their silly videos, read our adoption process, and to submit an adoption application. Blot is a 6-lb Mini Schnauzer/Poodle mix puppy born 12/4/25 with a scruffy coat, big brown eyes, and a personality full of love and wiggles. This little guy is playful, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to his people. Blot enjoys toys, playing with other dogs, and following his humans everywhere they go. His foster mom says his tail wags so fast it looks like a tiny propeller ready for takeoff! He’s still learning his potty training routine and does well when taken outside regularly. Like any young puppy, he will continue improving with consistency and patience. Blot would do well in a loving home with people who want a sweet little companion by their side. Smudge is a Mini Schnauzer/Poodle mix puppy born 12/4/25 with a stunning blue merle coat and a playful, affectionate personality. This sweet little boy enjoys chasing toys, playing with his brothers, and following his humans around the house. Smudge has a higher energy level than his siblings and especially loves chasing ball toys. His foster mom says that when he gets excited, he sometimes hops after toys like a little bunny — which is just as adorable as it sounds. He’s also a very loving puppy who enjoys being close to his people and will often settle nearby while they work or relax. Story
Edgar is a 4-month-old Standard Schnauzer with a gorgeous black-and-silver coat, a sweet scruffy face, and famously giant feet he’s still growing into. He’s smart, affectionate, playful, and hilariously klutzy — a joyful, people-loving pup who wants to be involved in everything. He’s doing well with pottying on a schedule (but sometimes forgets to pee because play is LIFE), and he’s learning manners like polite mouthiness and not jumping. Edgar loves other dogs, plays gently with small pups, and would thrive in an active home with older kids and ideally another playful dog. He’s food motivated, already knows sit, and is ready to give his whole heart to his people. 💜 *** Go to www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn all about our dogs, watch their silly videos, read our adoption process, and to submit an adoption application.
