Story
I'm Sweetheart and I'm ready to write my love story with you. I'm passionate, tender, affectionate, flirtatious and, did I mention, I'm super cute and fluffy. I'm a mini-schnauzer and, just the right age to be your new romantic partner in life.  If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2558936##

Story
Hi, my name is Shortie! Kelsey and RezDawg Rescue saved me from being euthanized, and I am so very thankful. I was given a second chance at life — and I don’t take that for granted. Not only am I Shortie… I’m a total cutie too! I’m a 3 year-old Schnauzer who is a joy to be around. I love to play — chasing balls and fetching are some of my favorite things! I enjoy running in the yard, going on car rides, and being part of whatever my humans are doing. I get along great with kitty cats, other dogs, kids, and people of all ages. I’m social, loving, and happiest when I’m included. And when the day winds down? My favorite place is snuggled up right next to you in bed or curled beside you on the couch. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccines, including rabies, so I’m healthy and ready for my forever home. I survived. I was saved. And now I’m just looking for a family who will love me for the rest of my life. Could that be you? If you fill out a non-obligation adoption application you and I could meet and see if we are a good fit for one another and your family dynamics. I sure hope to meet you soon!! ##2666238##

Story
Tito is a 5-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with a big personality and an even bigger appreciation for people. He's a true "people guy" who likes being where the action is and keeping tabs on what everyone's up to. Whether you're moving from room to room or settling in for the evening, Tito is happiest when he's part of the mix. He's past the puppy stage but still brings plenty of spark to his day-to-day life. Tito enjoys attention, trots confidently on walks, and carries himself with that classic Schnauzer charm-bright-eyed, alert, and always ready to see what's next. If you're looking for a companion who genuinely enjoys human company and adds character to your routine, Tito might be your guy. Story
Edgar is a 4-month-old Standard Schnauzer with a gorgeous black-and-silver coat, a sweet scruffy face, and famously giant feet he’s still growing into. He’s smart, affectionate, playful, and hilariously klutzy — a joyful, people-loving pup who wants to be involved in everything. He’s doing well with pottying on a schedule (but sometimes forgets to pee because play is LIFE), and he’s learning manners like polite mouthiness and not jumping. Edgar loves other dogs, plays gently with small pups, and would thrive in an active home with older kids and ideally another playful dog. He’s food motivated, already knows sit, and is ready to give his whole heart to his people. 💜 *** Go to www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn all about our dogs, watch their silly videos, read our adoption process, and to submit an adoption application.
