Story
Frito is ready for adoption! Frito was rescued from a puppy mill in Missouri where she lived without a name, just a number, used to have puppies over and over again for eight years. We are so proud of the progress she has made and can’t wait to see her adopted! This little girl is the biggest love bug there is! Frito enjoys nothing more than laying next to you and getting belly rubs and cuddles. She is very chill, but gets the zoomies every morning and when you get home. She enjoys napping belly up in sun beams and makes little pig noises when she’s excited. Frito adores cats and wants to be their friend and loves all dogs! She is quite the ham and loves attention. Our girl prefers to eat wet food and likes shredded chicken or green peas as a snack. If you're interested in adopting please complete our adoption application at www.sunshinecanyondogrescue.org/applications COLORADO AND MICHIGAN ADOPTIONS ONLY.

Story
Hello, I'm Benji and I can't wait to meet you! You see, everyone is my friend! I'm a five year old male schnauzer/papillon. Though I do need to work some on my leash manners, I love going for walks. I also enjoy chilling in the yard while watching what my foster mom is doing. In the evenings I like napping on the couch while getting scratches. My fur was so long and matted, it had to be shaved off.  I look so different now and I even growled at myself at first! I'm from New Mexico and my skin is really dry. But with proper nutrition and grooming, I hope that the dry itchy skin will soon be a long gone memory. I have not met any children since I moved to Colorado, but I hope I will soon  I have figured out that I need to sit to receive a treat, but I don't know any other commandos yet. I'm up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and ready to meet you! See you soon! Benjie Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1821570##

Story
** If you are interested in Loki, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ WE DO NOT ACCEPT INQUIRIES** There's nothing like an adorable, scruffy dog! Loki found himself with 6 other dogs that are suspected to be his parents, siblings, & puppies in a small, high-kill shelter in Texas. He was very scared in the shelter at first, but decompressed and finally was ready for his transport to Colorado. Loki is a great example of why people love both the Schnauzer and Terrier breeds. Their reputation as excellent family dogs with silly, playful and very loving temperaments is well earned. The smaller size of both the Miniature Schnauzer and Yorkshire Terrier is also considered to be very desirable...a combo of both of these wonderful breeds results in a dog like Loki that has a great temperament and a personality that is irresistible. At just about 3 months old (such a great age..young enough to have many, many active and healthy years ahead and old enough to be beyond challenging babyish behaviors) and at 5 lbs (about 20 lbs full grown) is a perfect size to hike the Colorado trails and then at day's end, snuggle close all night long. Since Loki is just a puppy, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way. He has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion. He will form firm bonds with his family and learn positive socialization skills through virtual or in-person positive reinforcement puppy kindergarten followed by force-free level 1 Obedience Classes. These classes will make a profound difference in a puppy's ultimate behavior and in their relationship/bonding with their people. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior. Loki is up to date on his shots, but has yet to be neutered. We cover the cost of his neuter at our approved Vet Clinic. This supports our work and hopes that one day dog overpopulation will become a thing of the past and therefore it will be unnecessary to euthanize a healthy dog. Loki is coming to CO from Pampa TX. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder, Rescueme and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving puppy. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
