Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life. Once he warms up, Peter is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet household with adults or older children who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion, Peter is ready to meet you and start a new chapter in his life!

Name: Finn Breed: Schnauzer Mix Sex: Neutered Male Age: 4 years Weight: 15 lbs Sweet, Calm, Chill Good with dogs? Yes, he lives with three other dogs and is fine with them but likes to have his own space sometimes. He is shy with new or very energetic dogs and is not very interested in playing, but will sleep next to relaxed dogs. Good with cats? Not Tested, but in general he is good at respecting boundaries. Good with kids? Yes, he is great with little kids who love to hug, kiss and hold him. Energy level: Low. He likes to sit and watch what’s going on, and sit next to you. He has access to a yard and takes walks a few times a week, and does not really play with toys. Animal Characteristics: Finn is a super sweet, calm, chill old soul who loves people. He is timid in new environments and around loud noises and appreciates the comfort of his humans. He is good at walking on a leash and is crate trained, although he’d rather be by your side. He needs his eyes wiped clean each morning and is glad to be cared for and enjoys some cuddles. He does not bark but makes his very own happy noise when he hears his humans coming home, and when he is very excited, he wiggles his butt! Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. Story
Meet Hank: Your Scruffy, Snack-Sniffin’, Low-Ridin’ Best Friend for Life! With the scruff of a Schnauzer and the swagger of a Basset Hound, 1.5-year-old Hank is a low-riding, soulful-eyed, people-loving masterpiece. He’s a goofy gentleman who adores his humans, leans in for affection, and might serenade you with his houndy “baroooo” if he thinks he’s missing out on the fun. Hank is all about companionship—he thrives with a friendly dog buddy and a human who’s home more often than not. He’s crate trained, travels well, and is making great progress with leash and potty training. Hank isn’t into fetch, but he lives for puzzle toys and nose work—he’s a Sherlock Holmes with a sniffer. “Hank isn’t just a good boy. He’s the good boy. The kind who’ll make you smile just by walking into the room… on those ridiculously short legs.” *** Go to www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn all about our dogs, watch their silly videos, read our adoption process, and to submit an adoption application. Story
Hi! I’m Chip! I’m a 1-year-old, terrier-type mix (I’m not sure what thought because I have curly-ish fur but I shed) and I weigh around 14 lbs. I’ve recently come to Colorado from Texas. It was so hot there! I’m having a great time in my foster home here. I like to snuggle up in bed with my foster mom. She taught me to use the dog door, too! I have some other doggie foster siblings that I like to play with, too. My foster mom says I’m a little shy at first, but now I just love her and I follow her around everywhere she goes. I’m still a puppy so sometimes I like to chew on things I shouldn’t (oops) and I bark here and there, too. I’m really excited to meet my forever family. Oh! I do have heartworms, but I had treatment and should kick those nasty buggers to the curb soon!! Chip is in foster in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/chip/. Story
Walter is guessed to be a 10 yr old Miniature Schnauzer who came to us from Oklahoma. The cataract in his one eye is his only "disability". He navigates the house just fine and uses a dog door to get out, but he needs a little help coming back in. A home with little to no stairs would be best for his future home. I just carry him upstairs because he deserves some extra love in his senior years. Walters favorite toy is a rolling ball! He totally thinks it's alive. Walter chases the ball with such enthusiasm and joy. He is good with dogs and kids. Walter so deserves to find a soft, loving place to call home. Apply for Walter today and come meet him in Greeley!
