Story
Jake is a 2-3 year old, 20lb Schnauzer/Poodle mix (maybe? we don't actually know his breeds, it's all a guess).  Jake was found as a stray and dumped a shelter in Kansas.  He was with a couple other dogs when he was found but was the least terrified out of all of them.  The shelter reached out to us in hopes we could bring him into our foster program and help him come out of his shell and learn how to be a dog.  He has now been with us for a couple months and is ready to find his forever family!  When he was first found he was super matted and had a thick, dirty coat so he was completely shaved down.  His fur is starting to grow out again.  He has super soft, fluffy fur, and seems to be mostly non-shedding, but we cannot guarantee he is hypoallergenic since we don't know his background.  He will need regular grooming appointments though to keep him looking handsome and feeling great.   Jake has really started to blossom and learn all that life has to offer as a loved and cherished dog.  He seems to be a dog who picks one human to really bond with.  He follows his foster dad around the house everywhere and loves to snuggle with him.  He would do great in a lower key home with a human or humans who will be patient with him and let him learn to trust them at his own pace.  We know he will bond with his forever human the same way he has with his foster dad, he just needs to be given the time to do so.  He does well with cats and we will require he goes to a home with another dog so he can continue to learn from the behaviors of a confident dog.  Jake does great on a leash and is learning to loves walks around the neighborhood, romping around the backyard with the other dogs, and snuggling up with the other dogs and his foster dad during down time.   If you are interested in giving Jake a forever home, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2433456##

Story
Willie with the wild coat! Willie is an adorable, wiry, merle, Schnauzer mix. He’s around 3 months old and presently 14 lbs. If we had to guess, we’d say he will probably grow to be 40-50 lbs when he’s an adult. But don’t worry, that BEAUTIFUL coat is here to stay. Willie is a well-adjusted, friendly, playful guy. He’s good with dogs and cats and has been great with the older kiddos in his foster home. Willie is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/willie/. Ramona (Mona) is a stunning 3-month-old black-and-tan floof with soulful eyes, silky-soft fur, and the sweetest, most sensitive spirit. She may be a little cautious at first, but she warms quickly and becomes a devoted snuggle bug who melts into your arms and sticks close to “her” people. Mona loves exploring the yard at her own pace, joining her siblings for zoomies, playing with enrichment toys, and cuddling up for quiet bonding time. She’s doing very well with potty training for her age, using washable potty pads and the doggy door, and pottying outside on a regular schedule. 💕 Go to www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn about our dogs, read our adoption process, and submit an adoption application. Sirius, lovingly called Si-Si, is a 3-month-old, small breed, brown-and-white floof born in rescue to her beautiful mama Kensi. She’s tiny, dainty, and full of happy puppy energy—zoomies, toy chasing, pinecone hunting, and then crashing into a snuggly nap on your feet. Si-Si is doing great with potty training for her age, using washable potty pads indoors and going outside on a routine, and she already uses the doggy door and stairs like a pro. She’s wonderful with other dogs, has been sweet and appropriate with respectful kids, and even does well with cats. Si-Si is a lap-loving cuddle bug who melts into your arms and wants to be part of everything her humans are doing. She’ll need a loving, committed family, a securely fenced yard, continued training and enrichment, and regular professional grooming to keep her gorgeous non-shedding coat feeling its best.
