Story
He’s a very sweet little guy who may take some time to warm up, but once he does, he’ll love you wholeheartedly. He’s also quite rowdy, so there’s never a dull moment with him. I’ve tried to train him, but I don’t have the time to give him the consistency he needs. I got him from a previous owner who mistreated him, and I couldn’t just walk away. Because of that, he has some trauma and has had a few biting incidents when he’s scared—though it hasn’t happened in a while, it’s something to keep in mind. He also loves to eat, sometimes a bit too much, so you’ll need to monitor his portions.

Story
Rio is the best dog who would love to join your family! We rescued him from Puerto Rico, where he was living on the streets and in very bad condition. He was brought to the United States by a rescue organization, where he made his way from Maryland to New York, where he lives with us now. We are looking for a loving family that will take Rio in and give him the love he deserves. He loves and gets along very well with the two dogs that we currently have, a Labrador and a Dachshund, but he does not get along with cats. The previous foster family he had in the US had kids that he got along very well with. He is about 6-7 months, up to date on all his vaccinations, and not neutered yet. We think he is a mix between Pitbull and Dalmatian but we are not sure. A very sweet and active boy that loves cuddles and is great with other dogs and older kids!!

Story
Nina is an older dog who is very energetic and alone, is great with other dogs. I am looking to have her and her brother (smaller dog in photos) to be kept together. They both just want to be loved, fed and walked. Preferably to someone who has space and maybe a yard for them to run.

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Ash is 8 years old but has the personality of a puppy. He is playful and very goofy. He has a silly personality that brings a lot of joy and laughter into the home. He is a very affectionate dog who loves being pet and receiving attention, though he can be shy when meeting new people at first. Once he feels comfortable, his loving, playful, and goofy nature really shines through. He forms strong bonds with the people he trusts and thrives on companionship. He is an anxious dog and does not do well around other dogs. He is not dog-friendly and will bark at them, so he would do best as the only pet in a calm, stable home where he can feel safe and secure. An experienced, patient owner who understands anxious dogs would be ideal for him. He also does not do well being left alone for long periods of time and struggles if left home alone for more than about 8 hours. He would do best with someone who has a flexible schedule, works from home, or can provide regular companionship and routine.

Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Hi, I'm Gretchen! I'm a 69-pound lap dog who hasn't quite gotten the memo that I'm not a puppy anymore. Don't let the size fool you! My favorite place in the whole world is draped across my human on the couch, preferably with a belly rub in progress!! I came into foster care after my first family could no longer care for me, and I'll be honest, it took me a little while to settle. But these past few months, I've really come into my own. I've figured out that my humans aren't going anywhere, and I've relaxed into being the goofy, snuggly, slightly dramatic girl I was always meant to be. I sleep on my back with my legs straight up in the air, and I will absolutely follow you from room to room just to make sure you're still around. I am currently working on my excitement towards other dogs. They make me nervous, and I'd do best as the only pup in the home. But with a patient human who's willing to keep up with my training, I promise to be the most loyal, couch-warming, legs-in-the-air companion you've ever had!!
