Story
We found Lucy goosey on a side street by our home in 2020. By the looks of it she was nursing at the time she was found.Took her to the shelter and adopted her within a week. Lucy is such a sweet girl. In 2024 we had a baby and have another dog. Although she does well with the baby, having two dogs is super stressful for me. Walking, feeding and grooming both dogs with the baby has been really overwhelming. Daily coat and teeth brushing, walking twice a day and keeping her active is just impossible for me at the moment. Lucy is a butterball of silliness and loves to cuddle even if you don’t want to lol! She’s estimated 6 years old.We love her so much.

Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Phoenix is a certified couch philosopher and blanket thief. She believes the best place to be is wherever you are, preferably under the sheets, pressed against your legs, pretending she's a small dog. She's perfectly house-broken, and deals with alone time well. She does not bark or whine when left alone, and is very comfortable with crating. She's the biggest sweetheart. She is endlessly gentle with people, whether that's a stranger at the door or a curious kid on the floor. Her default setting around humans is calm, warm, and fully devoted. She doesn't have a loud bone in her body when it comes to the people she loves. Her love language is physical touch, specifically getting under the covers with you. She will find her way under the sheets every single time : P

She made herself home with my two dogs and in less than 2 weeks she of course owns the place. She is well established senior lady who has a lot of spunk. Very enthusiastic about food and loves to go on for walks. She is fully housetrained as long as we keep her on a regular walking schedule. Lady Woo is the perfect companion. She is content taking her beauty sleep or laying down by my feet while I take work calls.

PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Meet Taz! A true New Yorker, borough-born and bred, Taz is a 9+ year-old gentleman who fully embraces a calm, unbothered approach to life. At home, you’ll often find him snoozing (and snoring… loudly), or following you around in hopes for some extra scritches or some table scraps. Everyone who has met Taz has immediately fallen in love with his lopsided ears and silly eyes that give him a bit of a chameleon vibe. He may take a couple days to open up and trust new people, but once he’s yours and you are his, he opens up into a goofy, affectionate, and loving good boy. He’s a mellow, low-key guy who enjoys his space and appreciates a calm, predictable environment. While he’s mostly chill, he’ll occasionally show off a playful side with a quick burst of tail-chasing energy or trotting around for a home inspection before returning to his regularly scheduled lounging. On walks, Taz generally moves at an easy pace on a loose leash and is happiest when the world around him stays respectful of his personal bubble. He doesn’t love when people rush into his space or other dogs get too close, so a home that can advocate for him and his space will help him feel most comfortable. He’s wonderfully house-trained, taking care of business promptly outside. He’s also very well crate-trained, sometimes even strolling into his crate himself for some nap time. Even when left home alone, he’s able to settle quickly. If you’re looking for an independent but affectionate companion with a touch of grumpy charm (think Carl from Up!), Taz might just be your guy!

Hi, I'm Gretchen! I'm a 69-pound lap dog who hasn't quite gotten the memo that I'm not a puppy anymore. Don't let the size fool you! My favorite place in the whole world is draped across my human on the couch, preferably with a belly rub in progress!! I came into foster care after my first family could no longer care for me, and I'll be honest, it took me a little while to settle. But these past few months, I've really come into my own. I've figured out that my humans aren't going anywhere, and I've relaxed into being the goofy, snuggly, slightly dramatic girl I was always meant to be. I sleep on my back with my legs straight up in the air, and I will absolutely follow you from room to room just to make sure you're still around. I am currently working on my excitement towards other dogs. They make me nervous, and I'd do best as the only pup in the home. But with a patient human who's willing to keep up with my training, I promise to be the most loyal, couch-warming, legs-in-the-air companion you've ever had!!
