2-year-old small-breed pup from a farm in Florida. He’s very anxious and easily startled, but friendly once he feels safe.Not fully housebroken and will need consistent training and patience.Best suited for a home where he can be the main focus—he needs someone with a lot of time and attention to give, and experience with dogs is strongly preferred.We are rehoming him because, with a small child and a busy household, we don’t have the time and consistency he needs for proper training and attention. He would do best in a home where someone can dedicate more one-on-one time to helping him build confidence and succeed.

Story
Othello is an EXTRA FRIENDLY and LOVABLE dog. He especially loves human attention and is good with kids and other pets. He enjoys the outdoors, doggy day care, and taking car rides. He’s learned that he cannot climb on furniture or go up/downstairs in the house. He sleeps in his crate, does not bark often, and has no known medical issues. Othello should be groomed with sensitive shampoo. His only problem areas are (1) Leash walking: He gets very excited when he sees other people/dogs while on walks and he begins to pull and bark, however, he is not aggressive; and (2) Reactive urination: He may pee when he gets excited. This really only happens when a visitor that he really likes enters the house, but there are many solutions to managing this problem, e.g., take him out before a visitor comes, limit water, etc. Overall, Othello is a great pup who loves to give kisses all the time and can adapt to almost any household. Though not necessary, we'd recommend moderate experience with dogs.

Lacey was born in Puerto Rico and adopted in Florida into our family of four. Originally listed as a Lab mix, she looks more like a Husky–Border Collie or Husky–Australian Shepherd mix, but has not been DNA tested.Our family left the country, and bringing her here would cost over $10,000 plus special vaccinations. She was fully vaccinated one year ago but now needs to catch up. Our stay was extended, and the family caring for her in New York can no longer do so. My heart is in shambles.Lacey is the sweetest, gentlest dog I have ever known. We were inseparable. She followed me everywhere, loved belly rubs and snack time, and slept while I worked. She is low-maintenance, rarely barks, runs super fast, but never wanted to wander far from me. She lived with a cat in NY and reportedly did well. She wiggles if picked up but has never nipped or bitten anyone.Her birthday is October 7. My dream is to find her an amazing home where she feels loved and cared for beyond her wildest imagination.
