She becomes very excitable around guests and struggles to settle, and she is not comfortable in a high-energy, child-focused household. We believe Maia would be happiest in a calm, adult-only home with experienced dog owners who can give her consistent structure and time. She is healthy, well cared for, and this difficult decision has been made entirely with her wellbeing in mind. He is a very affectionate dog who loves being pet and receiving attention, though he can be shy when meeting new people at first. Once he feels comfortable, his loving, playful, and goofy nature really shines through. He forms strong bonds with the people he trusts and thrives on companionship. He is an anxious dog and does not do well around other dogs. He is not dog-friendly and will bark at them, so he would do best as the only pet in a calm, stable home where he can feel safe and secure. An experienced, patient owner who understands anxious dogs would be ideal for him. He also does not do well being left alone for long periods of time and struggles if left home alone for more than about 8 hours.
